Shipping team and customer support is horrible
Shipping team and customer support is disappointingOn the 18th of October I purchased a winter dress for my coming trip to Europe. It is already the 8th of November and this order it is lost due to insufficient documentation in Nashville Tennessee ( last located ). I contacted support hoping they can help and ship overnight the dress hoping they can do that since I will be gone for more than 2 months ,but nothing. I called theme and they told me to file the missing claim and it will all resolve . Well I tried to do that and not even the missing claim couldn’t be completed as BR didn’t provide sufficient documentation when they send me the package . I have been on countless chats with BR and always the same please file the claim . Well the claim doesn’t work. Ow again they said they will fix this and to file again the claim after trying 3 times already. This has been handled very poorly . I just don’t understand how come they do not have a department in charge with checking that all orders are being delivered and if something get lost to make sure that it will reach the customer. It is not the customer responsibility to waist hours to try and get their money back for someone’s mistake. I get it , everyone can make a mistake but if you do own it and make it right. Why now I struggle for their mistake????? I have been so disappointed that I returned all orders that arrived and even though my husband got me the dress that is waiting for me at home when I return from Europe I will never purchase again from BR. Disappointing experience. I do not recommend

If you never care if you EVER get your delivery then go for it. But if you actually need it or want it don’t bother!! Delivery times will change over and over!!! I gave them several tries. Over it. Never again.

The Banana Republics Awful Shippers, “OnTrack’
The Banana Republic store I was in didn’t have my size but an employee found it somewhere else and had it shipped to my home. The shipper BR used is a company called OnTrack. At first the delivery date was for 5/7/2025, and that was okay. Then the date changed to Saturday May 3, 2025. I waited all day on my package, and at around 8:15pm the delivery date changed to 5/5/2025. My son is in a Cancer Center right now, and Banana Republics delivery company wasted my entire day. I will never have anything shipped to me again. Ridiculous!!!

I am beyond frustrated with the lack of accountability and poor customer service I have experienced. Ordered six items, but only five arrived, despite the package being sealed upon delivery—clearly indicating an oversight in packing on the company's end.Instead of taking responsibility, I was forced to go through a lengthy and inconvenient claim process, only to have my request denied without explanation. What is a customer supposed to do when it was BR mistake that an entire $60 trouser was not sent over?Now, instead of resolving the issue, I am being redirected to my bank to dispute the charge—essentially making it my problem to fix a mistake made by the company. This experience has been nothing but frustrating and unacceptable.At this point, it feels like daylight theft, and I have no intention of ever purchasing from or supporting this retail chain again. This level of negligence is completely unacceptable.

Missing items in the package are cred
I purchased more than five items from the Banana Republic website and two items were missing in the package I received. I contacted their online customer service and was told that they couldn't handle this case and advised I contact their specialized department. I made a call accordingly and was told that they couldn't give me a refund for the missing items according to their record. They instead suggest that I open a case with my credit card company. I was shocked and stopped purchasing anything from their website (btw, I have been a fan of their products).

Please don't order from this company. I wish I had read these reviews first. I ordered over $300 in clothes, five minutes later I checked my email and an old address was still on the account. I IMMEDIATELY called... still 5 minutes, to get it changed. They said I should cancel and get refunded and ordered again. That's what they did... canceled it.. so they said.Two days later I got an email that it had shipped. I called them and they said there was no guarantee that it was going to be cancelled... HUH? They said I should call UPS to change the address. UPS said I COULD'NT change the address because the vendor prohibited it. It still hasn't shipped and Banana Republic refuses to either change the address or cancel it. They said I'll need to file a claim once I don't receive it. WHO DOES THAT?

Gap and BR are one of my favorite stores. Fast shipping, easy returns. The quality is good. I hope they will pay more attention to sustainability otherwise, no complaints.

Disappointed BR wont ship from store locations
It’s very frustrating and disappointing that Banana Republic will not ship clothing from store locations, even if you pay for shipping yourself. When seasonal items go on sale, the size options online disappear quickly. If these items are still available in store locations too distant to access in person, the BR policy is you cannot buy them remotely. Such was the case in buying two mens Luxe Poplin shirts online, which immediately upon arrival I found were too big. But by then, no smaller sizes were available online. Despite two stores having the correct size medium, I'm left with nothing but a return to fill out. And assuming these shirts are seasonal and not discontinued, I will most likely not see them again for a year, if ever again.

Love that they ship to Europe
Generally love the quality of their items. At Gap, for simpler easier items, my favourite are jeans, at Banana Republic for casual smart and office wear. The sizing is good, too, true to size. I really appreciate the ease of online ordering and having items delivered to a store. I live abroad, so that's the easiest option for me. I also love the ease of either returning or exchanging items bought online, just drop into the nearest store. Never have had a problem. And I love that they ship to Europe :)

I bought a sweater on Banana Republic final sale. It was clearly a previously worn item, it had hair and lint on it. To make it worse the sweater also had significant pilling on it from previous wear. I also noticed that the shipping label said that it was shipped from "GAP INC RETURNS". If they are going to resell returned items they should be inspected and then labeled as such. I was expecting a new item.

I ordered and immediately changed my shipping address and they emailed me a confirmation. Then they send the order to the wrong address and when I called them they still won't fix it! Apparently I have to call AGAIN when the package arrives to hopefully get it fixed? WHY? They messed up, stop requiring the customers to jump through all these hoops. Terrible experience.

Do not shop here. If you do not receive your items they do not care and will do nothing about it.I made an order and did not receive it. USPS provided a letter to confirm this status. It's now been over 6 weeks and they refuse to answer my emails. I've tried online chat and they tell me I'll receive an email. Today I called and a supervisor told me since no one else would respond to me she'd provide respect to explain the issue. I suppose respect is a rare asset at Banana Republic. She told me they could not refund me because this had been an issue in the past I asked for evidence of this or dates. I reviewed the dates of all my purchases. I've only ever had 3 and the one time I received a refund was for an item that was received by them and properly refunded as you'd expect. It's absolutely disgusting how they treat customers as if they're lying and refuse to provide any claims on what they're saying. I will never shop at Banana Republic or any Gap Brand owned stores again. They cannot be trusted and have absolutely no regard for anyone.

I recently discovered Banana Republic online sales, and they are terrific! I have found sweaters, pants, blouses, v- necked long sleeved t shirts...all basic, build able pieces, high quality, great fit. If you're looking for cutesy, frilly, one season stuff, this is not your go to. If you like classic, well fitting, super low priced fashion that holds up and that's not going out of style, this is your place.

Clothing has been quite mediocre and feels average in wear and design as of late, especially for the men's side. Their partnership with Synchrony Bank and their BR rewards program is good but yikes, their customer service is monotone and lackluster. You can tell they are there to do the bare minimum with no enthusiasm. Not excited to shop there as I used to.

Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy have great prices but their orders are sometimes mixed up or lost. They are willing to replace or issue credit if needed so you can trust that they care about their customers. Only thing I wish they would do is make their rewards better for loyal customers. The representatives are very knowledgeable and willing to help.
