Etsy does no care about the customers.

Etsy does no care about the customers.I ordered winter boots in December 2024 and paid approximately $445 including shipping. The production and shipping process took about three months, so i cloud not leave a review because of the 100 days policy and I only received the boots on March 26, 2026 — after the winter season had effectively ended.Unfortunately, the boots do not keep my feet warm as expected for winter footwear, which defeats their primary purpose.I contacted the seller and Etsy to try to resolve the situation, but was informed that the 180-day policy prevented any refund or mediation. I even tried to escalte my case but they just keep repeating the policy over and over.I understand policies exist, but I believe buyers should be aware of long production delays and the limitations of buyer protection windows when purchasing seasonal items.

Rusty2mod on Etsy BEWARE!

I received my order today the quilt and shams are ripped up it's in such poor condition it should have been donated to a shelter or better yet thrown away! The pictures they posted looks nothing like what I got. They should be ashamed of themselves $100 for a completely destroyed quilt and shams that aren't worth $1.

Never Received Item – Invalid Tracking Code and Conflicting Shipping Claims

Three weeks ago, I paid for an item on Etsy from a seller in India called Italianlightzone. At first, he responded politely. He provided a tracking code himself, but it did not work from the beginning. After waiting patiently for three weeks, my patience ran out and I politely asked for an update. The next day, he responded with a strange explanation, claiming that the package had already been delivered twice and that if I did not collect it from DHL, it would be returned and the return costs would be my responsibility.I was very surprised by his response because I never received anything. DHL never attempted delivery. What he was saying did not match reality at all. I decided to give him a little more time, but he did not properly respond and only replied very late, without offering any real clarification or solution.Because of this, I opened a case. The seller was clearly unhappy about that and seemed more concerned about his shop than about me as a customer who never received the item I paid for. He did not offer any solution.I opened a case and received a refund within minutes, thanks to Etsy. However, the seller is still able to sell items. Was there no investigation? This situation could easily happen again to someone else.To be clear:I never received anything. The tracking code was fake and never worked. DHL does not recognize the code in their system. He later claimed it was sent with USPS, but USPS also does not recognize the code.In three weeks, I was never able to see where the package actually was.I have a camera at home and saw no delivery attempt.I never received a note from DHL and there was no valid online tracking information. He sent me a screenshot from his computer showing tracking details that I have never seen myself.Based on all of this, this strongly appears to be a scam.

I am a seller on Etsy and after 7 years of selling i am going to have to find another place to sell. Etsy is NOT for their sellers!! Buyers can scam and harass and when you report it to Etsy they do absolutely nothing but favor the buyer. Its like the company you work for absolutely spitting in your face!! Especially after all the hard work and time you put into it. Just beware if you want to sell on here. All you are is shit to them and they dont deserve a penny of your profits!

AbbyParty is a company I would work with again.

I ordered a handmade jewelry box for my granddaughter with her name and my chosen decorations from AbbyParty. It was easy to find and define my choices. AbbyParty was clear about what and when to expect this gift. They were right on the money including keeping in touch. While I haven't given her the birthday present yet I can say that when I need another gift I will look to AbbyParty.

Horrible

Horrible, you think you're buying an article, price was normal. But guess what! The only thing you receive is 3 piturers of the item. It was suposed to be a plastic adaptor for a battery, € 6,05, and instead of the adaptor you get 3 stolen pictures from an online article. When you contact them you'll find out that it's a scam. they answer you can't contact because the item is deliverd online.

Very dishonest platform.

Very dishonest platform. Actively tolerates and facilitates poor quality, inaccurately marketed products. Total lack of transparency regarding buyers obligation to pay import fees and duties, which often results in huge additional costs. Terrible customer service.

I was charged over £7 on my first sale because they automatically opt you in for their offsite ads without telling you. On a £50 sale I made £30. Fees are high, only AI bots to talk to, full of Chinese junk.

Etsy shockingly greedy platform

Etsy turned out to be one of the most shockingly greedy platforms I’ve ever tried to sell on. I sell on eBay, Amazon, Google, and my own website with no issues, but when I attempted to open a shop on Etsy, I discovered they would take around 40% of my profit once all their fees stacked up.It’s outrageous. The fee structure is confusing, profit‑heavy, and clearly designed to squeeze sellers dry. I closed the account immediately.Total rip‑off. Zero regard for sellers. Would never recommend Etsy to any business owner.

One customer sent a ring certified, . I wasn't home and it went back to the seller. The seller messaged me would I like a refund. I tried to message her back but Etsy needed me to confirm my email address. I did right on the same Email they sent to me but that message kept coming up. That was in December. It wasn't the customers fault because it looks as though I didn't respond. A seller can message but a customer can not respond. I spent over 3000 dollars in December.I bought an Omega watch in poor condition which I knew from a customer in Canada. He messaged me that I must pay the tariff. I could respond to that one either.Im out over 700 and never laid eyes on the items I bought. They will never get my business and everyone I am close to deleted the app.I am going to produce a You tube video showing I paid and my items are in limbo or sent back to the customer. I have accepted my loss but Etsy reputation will not recover in my network of friends

I have two more items coming from Etsy…

I have two more items coming from Etsy that I purchased on 2/11/26. I'm in Michigan and the item was in Detroit yesterday and then sent to Indiana and then to Alabama. It didn't even get to USPS for 7 days after I ordered it. The original date it said it would arrive was 2/17 and it's now 2/23 and the item left Michigan and is now in Alabama. I tried to reach Etsy and they no longer address anything. They leave it to the individual sellers. So now it has been 12 days and they expect you to wait for another 2 days for the seller to respond that will most likely say "sorry for your inconvenience" and ask me to be patient. The seller waited 7 days to get it to the post office, so they are part of the problem. Something has drastically happened to the post office when your package arrived in your state then left your state as far south as you can get. Etsy, like all other corporations is now corrupt in that they don't care about you as a consumer, they just want the money and if you have a problem, they don't care. The 2nd package is also taking way too long and it doesn't even get updated timely in the postal system. I won't use Etsy again, just like Amazon, Walmart Target and many other corporations that don't care about us.

I have been purchasing a myriad of items on Etsy for at least 5 years. The range of shops is outstanding. I never buy from a 4.6 shop or under. I take not that this a marketplace but twice I have contacted Etsy itself regarding a problem and have been refunded immediately. All the shops, bar 2, have gone above and beyond to supply me with purchases I just wouldn't find anywhere else. So 5 years at approx 2 purchases a week = 520 and only 2 duds.

I would like to share my experience and…

I would like to share my experience and warn the sellers about Etsy's current policies. It has become clear that the platform is adopting a strategy aimed at reducing the number of independent sellers under vague pretexts such as "noncompliance with creativity standards" This tightening coincides with a continuous increase in fees, placing sellers in a difficult position. Most concerning are the indicators that the platform is entering as a direct competitor to sellers through its own affiliated stores, promoting goods as 'handmade' when the reality may be different. We also notice exceptional support for these stores in terms of reviews and reduced fees, while high fees are imposed on independent sellers. This automatically leads to higher prices for the buyer and pushes the platform's own stores as the more affordable option.Etsy is no longer the supportive environment for projects that it markets itself to be instead, it has begun to act as an adversary and a competitor seeking to dominate the largest share of sales. I advise everyone to be cautious and not to rely entirely on this platform, which shows outward encouragement to sellers while hiding policies behind the scenes that serve only its own commercial interests.

Bad e-commerce platform

Etsy has great sellers, but the app and website are frustrating to use. Buying and downloading digital products is unnecessarily complicated, and it’s hard to find your files. Customer service is also very limited when problems come up. The platform really needs improvement and better support for buyers.

Etsy forced an unfair refund to a dishonest buyer (because they always side with the buyer) and now I can't even get my item back. How is this ok??
