I originally bought this bed for the cat, due to the cat taking the dog's bed. Well, the cat likes the bed, but the dog LOVES it, so I bought another one. The fuzzy top is very soft.It can be unfolded with sides, but my animals only use it enclosed. Very satisfied with this purchase.
