Good insurance
Travelers insurance has been good so far. I have them on my home and auto. Had a small claim on my vehicle that was taken care of in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend them.

I got a horrible experience and not recommend with this insurance company. Igot a car accident last Jan 30. I claimed on Jan.30 evening. They hold my car with towing company for 3weeks(Jan 30-Jan 19 2026) and send my car bodyshop Jan 19. Wnd they hold again my car to prove repairing for 2weeks(Jan19_Mar 2 2026) again without anything. And than they ask me return the rent car in 5days. Even the body shop told me it takes 2 or 3weeks to fix my car. I requested to extend more days to rent car but, they said no.Not even my fault. They totally ignored me for more than 1 month and asks me expenses extra.
I live in Florida. I have been with traverlers insurance company for 4 years in Florida. I was on a cruise and came back and found they had cancelled my policy because they thought I had moved out of Florida. I called them, and they would not renew my policy without me sending them information that they already had.
This was my first insurance claim in my life after a hit-and-run by someone. The initial call went smoothly, and the representative helped set up the claim and mentioned nearby repair shops I can choose. I was told an adjuster would follow up. While the claim was set up quickly, the process itself turned into a stressful and frustrating experience for me.When the adjuster contacted me, I was directed to use a specific repair shop, and the information I received was very limited. As a first-time claimant, I believed I had no choice and followed the instructions. Communication felt impersonal, and I didn't fully understand my options.Only after I had already dropped off my car did I receive a letter explaining that I could choose any repair shop I trust. If I had known this earlier, I would have made a different decision. A shop I trust had estimated about 5 days and around $2,000, while the insurance-recommended shop took about 4 weeks, postponing week after week and cost over $5,000, using all of my rental coverage.I'm sharing this experience to help others-especially those new to insurance claims-take time to understand your rights and options before making decisions. There is usually no rush, as claims can often be made withing a year.
We were with them for 7+ years and they constantly raise our home insurance prices, so we switched. They then overcharged us for a month for our automobile insurance when we switched. Have contacted them regarding this multiple times and they say they do not want to go through the paperwork to look it up. Finally filed a report with the BBB.
Rating -100. I canceled my overpriced car insurance at the end of month December, because that’s when my payment is due. Travelers still took out the full monthly payment $250.00, and only reimbursed me $78. They said because my due date is actually the 10th of each month and I cancelled end of month, I still owed them some $ for previous month! Can someone please explain this to me? I feel I’ve been ripped off.
If you own a motorcycle, get insurance elsewhere. Not worth the savings if you're involved in an accident, even if it's not your fault. They refuse to pay for anything, make up undocumented policies, just make life difficult to get reimbursed for what was damaged, including under valuing your motorcycle and refusing to correct blatant errors in their assessment documentation. They are a scam.
Outrageous lack of professionalism. I was given conflicting information by several agents, who, when called on it, doubled down and become defensive and aggressive. The senior manager was the worst! It was like reverse customer service, me being polite and logical. Who is running this place?I could not be more let down by their customer service. Not just bad, offensive. I had planned to insure my vehicles through them since my homeowner's insurance is through them, but I will close this policy ASAP as I have ZERO faith in this organization. What a shame!
Im sorry but I can tell you good news. This campany Trawellers in Ontario not really helpfully. Im more years partner with then but they are not send ing the LOE for me. But I need my work they are not send. So I think it’s very wrong serviceMária Biri
Less then 0.1 percent - garbage company, treat they’re clients horribly 1 year after the house fire and still no answers, still struggling to get our house rebuilt, lieing to us, threatening us with non renewal - tactic threats caught on email, ignoring us for 2 months at a time, will not cover our rent on time on top of paying a mortgage DO NOT USE THEM. Horrible company horrible people to deal with, lies upon lies, lawyer up and get ready to loose yourself in stress with the incompetent humans. Spend thousands in legal fees and lawsuits, Horribly run company horrible people running the company, completly entitled and useless never ever ever again will I go back once this claim is over. RUN as fast as you can.
If I could, I would give it 0 stars for this company. A company that has no respect and treats its customers with disregard. I've been waiting 3 months for my refund check, money that was improperly withdrawn after the policy was already canceled. Nobody gives me any justification or explanation for the delay. They simply say: wait, it's on its way.
I’ve bounced around with plants of insurance companies and by far Traveler’s is great! I’m happy with this company and won’t be leaving. Thank you.
Zero stars. I am the Insured. The claims handling is not good. The Adjuster does respond in a timely manner and is careful about wording. The nickle and diming me, the insured, is unreal. They accepted 100% liability on a situation that was actually the fault of the claimant. Passing on the right and speeding are both illegal. Thry ignored both, failed to do an investigation of the actual accident scene which would have made that case. We have video that shows the othr car was speding and passed on the right illegally and still payed the claimant. The adjuster screwed up and then doubled down on his error rather than admit he made a mistake. I haven't needed to use my insurance in the last 10+ years and I can assure you the quality of the investigation process has really gone downhill. Photographing adjusting is substandard and permits underlying claims. Honestly, get an attorney of you need to deal with Travelers. The authorized repair shop staff is a catch 22. They are kind and professional, but the car sat for a month, estimates of completion date were always off because they're overbooked and understaffed. The shop admits that Travelers forces them to use the least expensive used parts even if the quality isn't on par woth the age/condition of the vehicle. I had to bring back my car due to shody repairs. Shortly after the accident the CV joint where the impact occurred was going and they put up barriers to paying for the repair. They still haven't issues payment.Lazy, incompetent adjusting seems to be the new norm. I am two months out on this claim and they're still not doing their due diligence. They deserve a complaint to the Insurance Commissioner.
Travelers Denied 43% of Documented Water Mitigation Costs - Claim #JAQ2273After experiencing water damage in September 2025, I filed a covered claim with Travelers Insurance. While they ultimately approved the rebuild work, Claims Professional Alex Lesones and his manager Lisa Tully refused to pay $2,671 (43%) of our contractor's documented mitigation invoice. Our contractor provided moisture readings, photos, and detailed documentation for $6,200 in necessary work including removing 100-year-old water-damaged materials. Travelers only approved $3,529.The adjustment process was exhausting:First, they said IICRC standards only supported 3 days of drying (our documentation showed 4 were needed)Then they claimed two dehumidifiers weren't needed for rooms on separate floorsAfter pressure, they "found" another $900Finally, they refused the remaining $2,000 claiming the "water category" didn't warrant basic cleaning proceduresThey never provided policy language excluding these services or documentation of their "water category" assessment. Each time we pushed back with facts, they changed their reasoning. We're now forced to pursue complaints with the Illinois Department of Insurance. We pay premiums expecting coverage for legitimate claims, not to fight for every documented dollar while dealing with water damage stress. If you have Travelers, document everything and prepare to fight for fair payment.
This Company raised my monthly Car Insurance payment from $161 in 2024 to $221 in 2025. Their pretext for doing this was a claim I filed that involved mt backing into a trailer on a side street. The total repair was $843 of which I paid my $750 (deductible). I am a Senior Citizen with good credit and an outstanding driving record. Stay away
The worst company. Their policyholder was responsible for hitting my car and refused to pay my 15 day rental car expense. Refused to return my calls. Scam!!!
I wish I could give negative starrs. My 74 year old mother has been waiting roadside for 4 hours after locking her keys in her car. She has been given one excuse after another. One tech said he couldn't unlock her door, and he never even showed up. Ridiculous lies, horrible customer service for something that should have taken 20 minutes. She ended up calling a private locksmith. Horrible, horrible!
ScrewTravelers. We had a furnace A/C unit leak in the attic on a less than 6 year old house because the builder didn't install an intact pan under the unit, and had water damage in our ceiling and insulation. After over a month of not hearing a damn thing from our adjuster after filing the claim (nothing resolved yet), these bastards sent us a non renewal notice. 6 years of premiums and they cancelled us after a claim. This should be illegal. I'll never give them another cent again.
Worst customer service ever. They don't even try. If it were not for my agent I would not use this insurance. I let my agent deal with them. No point trying to talk to these people, they are like a back end that needs an agent to interface with. If you don't have an agent just get insurance somewhere else.
Anyone have advice on dealing with an insurance company. Tracked down the driver who hit and ran on my car. Travelers sent me to a captive shop - Gerber Auto. Travelers denied OEM parts despite WAC 284-30-390 requiring restoration to pre-loss condition.
