Worst products and manufacturer

I wish I had seen these reviews prior to purchasing a Sharp product. I purchased a state of the art high end washing machine. Very unreliable and faulty within warranty period. Sharp or Currys have been passing me between each other and not honouring warranty. Never touching any sharp products ever again.

Poor Aftersales

Much the same experience as most of the other posters here, tumble dryer developed a fault under warranty, not been able to contact Sharp direct, and have now been waiting with a faulty machine for circa four months for it to be repaired still with no date in sight.

Sharp Fridge-Freezer LED Light Replacement

I've got a Sharp fridge-freezer which has been fine for 3 years, suddenly there's no light which isn't a simple bulb replacement, it's an LED. I am really struggling to find an exact match LED strip anywhere online so e-mailed for advice which was over 5 weeks ago with no response. Tried calling customer services today and keep getting put through to different departments and getting cut off or you have to hear the whole menu before making an option to find out my call cannot be put through and get cut off! So frustrating and unhelpful!

Customer support non existent

I Purchased a Sharp Tumble Dryer Model KD-HHH9S7GW2-EN Serial Number 00726539010167180038 on the 27th December 2021. The Machine has been working fine until a week ago and now has no heat. I emailed sharp 3 times on their Helpdesk.GB website and have no response whatsoever. I have telephoned numerous times and after a lengthy process going through automated systems am told each time that my call cannot be taken. I registered my product shortly after purchase but the web site for this is also not working and all the other sharp web sites are worse than useless. I purchased the machine on recommendation of a consumer web site but their evaluation did not take into account customer service. I cannot recommend Sharp at all and will now dispose of this usless product and purchase a different make. As a matter of interest try all the sharp websites and you will see what I mean. For instance try and get a copy of the operating manual and best of luck with that. Please take my advice and stay away from this company who hide away and dont want to know when things go wrong. If I could give zero stars I would.

Warning! They don’t honour warranty.

Dishwasher broke after a year and a half. Appliance has two year warranty however you can not talk to anyone to get it fix. Emailed the address given and phoned the number on the warranty information. Emails are ignored and phone just hangs up.

SHARP warranty and Parcifica are poor!

SHARP Tumble heatpump dryer was a good product until it broke after a year. Sharp customer service is horrible to get through to and tell you to call other numbers, equally stressful! Anyway, they use a company called Parcifica Group UK, to assign a local engineer. Parcifica are also difficult to get through too and after waiting 4 days for an engineer, I booked today off, Fri 13/9/24, as annual leave and the engineer assigned, a self-trader called COLEMAN, cancelled with no reason. Pacifica can’t get a reason either and I now have to book next Tuesday off work. If you read the reviews this is classic of SHARP and Parcifica Group and as soon as my warranty is up I will wait for it to break again and get another brand. 1 poor after sales service/warrenty, and 2. They dryer is just a year old!

1 star as you can't put 0

1 star as you can't put 0. Tv is useless keeps blacking out. Called them up told me to send an email with the sticker on the back and would have a software update sent to me within 24hrs. So immediately did that and 4 days later they're still looking for the image that was sent as an attachment in the first email, keep asking me to send the image. Even forwarded the email to myself to make sure it was working. Buy a Samsung!

The worst customer service ever

The worst customer service ever. Have had two brand new tumble dryers delivered to me faulty. Curry’s replaced it the first time, couldn’t get hold of sharp at all. Sent out an engineer the second time told me the heat pump needs replacing. Why does a heat pump need replacing on brand new product? Haven’t been able to get hold of anyone since. The engineer himself said sharp just stick their name on the tumble dryers and don’t actually make them, he has no training. Said I should have gone to John Lewis.

Good product, awful after sales

Purchased a Sharp tumble dryer. It broke within 2 months. Called up Sharp, took nearly 3 weeks to send an engineer plus the customer service agents dealing with me kept requesting the same information which got very frustrating. Finally an engineer did show up, only for them to say you need an additional 2 parts which will take 2 months.

Buy Sharpe products at your peril.

If Trustpilot had minus stars, for me they would be minus 5.Bought a Sharpe product only 2 months ago that has now developed a fault. The customer must jump through hoops to get to the correct service department.Only to find that they demand that you send them photographs of the machine before they will proceed. When I told them that at 81 years of age that I was unable to do so, they said that that they would not budge on their demand for photographs and suggested that I seek help to do so. When I informed them that I had no one to help me, for them it was the end of the matter and they would not service my machine.Fortunately I had purchased the machine through AO, a truly great company, who came to my rescue.Stay away from Sharpe products.

Bought a sharp washer dryer from Currys…

Bought a sharp washer dryer from Currys and it went faulty after 6 weeks, logged a call with Sharp Home Appliances, first they say they don't have a repair agent in my area, then they say it will take a few weeks to inspect the machine, the engineer arrives and says it needs new parts...12 months later and the parts are still not available, I've called Sharp Home Appliances multiple times but still no service is provided, I asked for a supervisor and guess what? theres none available !!This company is pathetic

Purchased a dishwasher replacement…

Purchased a dishwasher replacement 02/07/22..,door not aligned properly. If you load the front of bottom shelf before the back it tilts forward when you slide it.Tried every programme but none are very good. I don't put the washer on every day and never have before. The washing is not very efficient but drying is excellent as it dries uncleaned stains very well and I scour them off.Using products as recommended... always have in previous machines. Last was Beco...much better in all ways.

Sharp is scandalous

I bought this Sharp microwave oven in July, the Amazon Prime day. I was heating some milk with a ceramic cup using the microwave oven. I saw some flashing in the oven and some fumes came out. I immediately unplugged the power and found a burn mark. UMC UK, the Sharp UK maintenance service, declined my warranty service request says that I misused the microwave. They said debris must had been on the waveguide cover so that it was burnt during the cooking. They also said it must had been a repeated misuse. However my oven was clear and had regularly been cleaned the internals. They drew this conclusion simply by looking at the picture without even checking the functionalities of the microwave oven.Thoughts:After 30 days the proofing burden is on the customers that the products which were faulty while we initially bought it. How much does it cost to compile an independent expert report claiming that the product was defective when bought and fight the legal proceedings? Very costly. They know we have little to tackle them. The manufacturer has the ultimate say on what to repair and what not to. Consumers are so helpless facing these dishonest companies.

Excellent

I bought a sharp paperless digital calculator, it’s the best calculator I’ve ever had I would recommend this calculator to all shaves on paper saves you running out of paper and printing and ink.

WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE A STAR

WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE A STAR! Where do I even begin, I brought a washer/dryer in July 2020 after reading good reviews in regards to the washer/dryer. In June 2021, I had a problem with my washer/dryer not draining correctly. So was told I had to wait for an engineer to come out which would take 5 days. So that left me without a washer/dryer for over a week!! This problem was solved after the engineer had been. Since then I have had problem after problem. I believe to of had another 3 call outs with issues with this washer/dryer. This one has been the worst one !!My washer/dryer flooded my whole downstairs on Thursday evening. I called Friday morning, to be told I would have to wait another 5 days. So thats 6 days without a washer / dryer. ( I have 3 children UNDER 4) Finally an engineer come out to tell me I would have to wait another 7 days for a part to be delivered and then could have to wait another 5/7 days for an engineer to come fix the machine. So that's 3 weeks without a washer/dryer. Instead of offering me support / guidance or offering me a new machine. I am now spending 3 weeks without a washer/dryer so NO clean clothes for my children/myself throughout christmas / new year. And no proper flooring due to the water pulling up my vinyl in my kitchen and hallway!! When speaking to a lady on the phone, she was rude, confrontational and had no sympathy for what has happened!! Appalling service from every party involved

Diabolical repair service.

I purchased a Sharp fridge freezer, after a month I noticed it had a fault and was overheating the door seals making the inside of the fridge hot. When I tried to call Sharp for a repair under warranty I was passed to 0800 (Sharp don't repair items apparently and sub contract.) Initally they took about a month to come out, they then cancelled several appointments, when the engineer eventually called he said it required new parts. He ordered the wrong parts, 10 weeks on the fridge is still broken and they can't tell me when they will have parts or be able to repair the fridge. (it's my own fault for buying a Sharp appliance apparently.)I would complain directly to Sharp incase they are unaware of how useless the service center is, but they don't have a customer service number apparently

SHARP SUPERHEATED STEAM OVEN DISASTER

This product was purchased through Amazon on February 25, 2019 for $400.From purchase date to the present would imply an extensive period of use AS WOULD BE EXPECTED FROM THIS ITEM, REPUTATION OF MANUFACTURER AND TYPICAL FAMILY OF 4, THE STANDARD USED FOR ALMOST ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE.Disclosure: I am a senior, live alone and don’t prepare my meals often so NO appliance would be used that often in my case.DESPITE MINIMAL USE, AND I ADD, IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH THE USER MANUAL, this product and my experience with SHARP CUSTOMER SERVICE, rates a 1/2 star if you provided that option. HINT: you SHOULD. Even a NO STAR choice bc SOME PRODUCTS OR SERVICES justify this NIL rating.I now elaborate on product and then service:I was shocked to find some food particles had caked into the floor of the appliance even though I always cleaned the appliance after each use. They never came off. Instead more food stains accumulated despite my post use cleaning! The front window was subject to an awful brownish discoloration that rendered it opaque. MULTIPLE, ONGOING ATTEMPTS TO CLEAN THE GLASS SAFELY IN CONFORMITY WITH THE USER MANUAL WERE UNSUCCESSFUL!More recently, within the past 6 mo, the internal lining of this oven has started to peel off.To repeat: my initial frequency of use was BIWEEKLY. With food stains and frond window situations that were personally unattractive I reduced use to every several months. I wanted to use this expensive item but was turned off having to witness the condition it was in. THESE CONDITIONS INCLUDING THE MOST RECENT REMAIN UNRESOLVED TO THIS DAY!ALSO: I must have called customer service so many times to inquire how I could convert the package cooking instructions (customarily oven or microwave) only to be met with zero useful guidance from the many reps I spoke to. It was as if I was asking for clarification on the BIG BANG THEORY.The product comes WITH A RECIPE BOOK in addition to user manual. On the recipe book back cover is a LIST OF FOODS and their corresponding settings. But there are about THIRTY IN ALL. I challenge anyone to claim this is a list representing MOST individuals or families. By the way, of the 30 items, pizza counts for 4 as does fries. The recipe book itself has a week’s content spread over breakfast, lunch and dinner. Choices are exotic as to be non starters for 90% of customers unless you are into high end chic recipes.AS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE, the vast majority are clueless. It took me weeks to ATTEMPT to find out if filtered water was mandatory. Some reps confused filtered w distilled! Some said it didn’t matter if I used tap. That ONE question couldn’t be easily, and correctly answered tells you all you need to know about the company, its manual (which doesn’t provide a formal position) and who staffs its network of call centers. When I escalated my food stain complaint to a supervisor she was equally ineffective. I was forced to submit and resubmit videos of the problem areas only some of which she could access. But even those were sufficient to demonstrate the severity of the problem. This was NOT a minor cosmetic OVERREACTION by a consumer. And it was NEVER clear to me if the supervisor was directly coordinating with SHARP TECH DEPT. She never explained the process she would follow. I was never separately contacted by any member of the tech department and her email presence simply vanished without explanation. Literally, My involvement AS ACTIVE SHARP CUSTOMER IN NEED just evaporated UNILATERALLY FROM SHARP’S END. I do NOT know if SHARP HAS AN EFFECTIVE TECH DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS PRODUCT! My personal experience tells me NO! And I would never believe a claim such one exists bc if it did WHERE WAS IT WHEN I NEEDED IT? Words are cheap as they say. What I do know is SHARP has spent on PR to promote this appliance on the Internet. I recently forced myself to see 2 videos that date to when I purchased this oven. To say the presenters were unabashedly SHARP COMPANY PEOPLE is an understatement! Talk about media hype. These people promotes SHARP as if on steroids. Maybe they were! Every other word uttered by each AND REPEATEDLY was this oven UNIQUE “FEATURES” AND HEALTH PROMOTING EFFECTS! WHAT? Sharp, give me/us a break.Other companies make counterpart steam ovens. A 2021 list of them puts THIS ONE AT NO 7. How much did Sharp pay for that position? And there are so few reviews on Amazon today, that scarcity of content (whose legitimacy is UNKNOWN) would be a FLASHING RED LIGHT. For some reason, Amazon STILL sells this MESS!In conclusion:I faced a DISASTER in both use and support service of this purchase which I consider a close to total loss.Consider this review as a fellow driver waving you off the road before you end up in a dead end swamp which this experience ACCURATELY AND VIVIDLY represents
