I WISH that I had checked these reviews on Trust Pilot!
I WISH that I had checked this, but I've always trusted the printed books, so I paid the 28 Pounds and got ripped off by Haynes! The so-called autofix is utterly useless and not worth even a single Pound! DON'T pay for this, as it is almost criminal how bad it really is. Even the few drawings that are in the library for my car are horrible bad and most likely some piss-poor line drawing made by an intern using the worst software on the market. As for finding anything useful I am so far coming up with NIL - ZERO - NOTHING!Haynes, you should be ashamed!24th of February 2026 EDIT: I asked for a refund through Haynes homepage and got a nice reply and a refund. I urged them to change these online 'manuals' and I hope they will listen, as this could potentially be the end of Haynes. We shall see!

They don’t respond to emails
They don’t respond to emails, comments of Facebook or messages on messenger! Buy at your OWN RISK! Cause if there’s any issues (odds are there will be!) your on your own!

Plain awful
Plain awful, much prefer the actual haynes manuals as they are useful whereas the online versions are very hard to navigate, wiring colour codes missing, hard to access already purchased items. I strongly recommend you buy the actual paper version rather than waste time and money with the online versions.

not what they used to be
Older full manuals were great but do not buy any of the newer "autofix" products, even though they are marketed as model specific most of the information in them is generic

This is just a rebrand of Autodocs
This is just a rebrand of Autodocs, just copied and pasted information from other cars . No specifics for the car I purchased it for .

All I can say is bring back the full printed manuals. Purchased online manual for my Škoda Scala. Most the information was generic, was changing rear brakes was hoping for full guidance, such as what spanner sizes required, which way to rewind the brakes etc. instead got a generic random guide. No issue with online content but make it same standard as the books.

Don't waste your money!
I've used Haynes printed manual for decades and I found them useful. The online manuals are a complete waste of money! They are vague and so general that they are useless. Large sections have been cut and pasted from general service and repair videos. Videos show procedures on many different cars, but rarely the one the manual is for.The manual is such a waste of money that I think they are a fraud, purporting to give you useful advice on how to repair and service your car, but leaving you to puzzle out how to do it from generic advice, pictures and videos !!I'd like a refund! I feel I've been ripped off!!!

Sad deterioration in quality
Having used the excellent printed books for over 40 years, I was happy when they finally released a manual for my car (r172 slk). What an absolute load of crap, all very generic with little relation to the car in question. Having spent an hour going through it, lots of it is just totally wrong e.g. parking brake is shown as a traditional cable operated, when in fact it is electric. It looks like something knocked up by a new trainee in half an hour! I don't mind it being electronic only, I understand the economics of that. If your car has an old school printed manual go ahead and buy. But avoid the new type, I feel like I've been scammed. I did complain and ask for a refund, eventually got a generic sounding email in defence. Sounded more like a politician's answer!

Waste of money. Too generic and vague.
I agree with most other 1 star reviews. I feel let down by Haynes as I have been using their printed manuals for fifty years and found them very helpful. I have just purchased a new (for me) used car. Wishing to carry out maintenance and repairs myself have found the online version too generic and vague. A complete waste of money and definitely not a positive progression to digital only. I would say that it is not far off fraud to sell something for a specific use but does not give the specific details that you would expect and would previously have got from Haynes. There is probably more accurate information on free online Channels with videos.

Inaccurate manual, rubbish customer service
Having been a Haynes manual user since 1981, I purchased a Haynes manual to help with my son's first car, specifically clutch cable adjustment.Thing is Haynes think the Hyundai i10 has a hydraulic clutch! The guide was generic, of little use, so I immediately requested a refund.Haynes customer service is appalling. No response to emails until 10 days confirming a refund which was received after 15 days. Cynical if you ask me considering their terms are full refund within 14 days. Could they ignore your cancellation request to maximise the period they have your money?

Massive disappointment
Massive disappointment. I have bought and used Haynes manuals all my life and found them excellent. I’ve been working on cars and bikes for 50+ years. When I wanted to change my battery on my Volvo, I ran into disassembly problems and bought the online manual (printed manual not available) to find out how to dismantle the airbox. The only comments on the battery are advice on how to safely connect and disconnect, the kind of thing you’d learn in the first session of an evening class. I’ve searched the whole thing and there is nothing about removing the battery. And yet ‘battery removal’ is one of the pages they use to illustrate it on their own website. So disappointed in a brand I have used and supported for decades. Contacting them in the morning for a refund.

Haynes Online Manuals RUBBISH
I urgently needed a detailed electrical wiring diagram for the headlights on a VS Commodore and what I got was something so ‘general’ that it might as well been about building windmills! How brain dead do you have to be to sell such rubbish as an online Repair Manual! I used to think Haynes sold quality products. Sadly it’s the new world of paying good money for no service or products not worth a cent! NEVER BUY ONLINE PRODUCTS FROM THIS MOB!In recent times I have encountered similar problems and they all happened after the company was bought out, and then services went downhill until what was once a good service/business was run into the ground until it disappeared. I suspected this was the case here and yes it is! How sad.

Only give 1 star as that's the only way…
Only give 1 star as that's the only way to get to the review box. As everyone else says wish i had read the reviews. Not a patch on the old book type. Very basic information. Unable to log in and have now given up on it as Haynes seem to think it a problem at my end rather than their's. Waste of money

These manuals are a criminal rip off!
These manuals are a criminal rip off!! Having used many Haynes printed manuals in the past, I was expecting detailed step by step repair instructions with photos. There are none!!Nothing but generic vague single sentence instructions …eg; replace exhaust!Im contacting the company on Monday for a refund. If I don’t get it, I’ll be seeing them in court!
