Reliable, hard working and professional.

We had lateral restraints fitted in our gable end by this company. They were brilliant. They gave a reasonable quote for the work, carried out the work in the agreed time frame and provided a 10 year guarantee for the work undertaken. The workers were polite and friendly and kept us informed of what was happening. They also cleaned up as they went along and protected my carpets from the dust. I would recommend Bar Preservation and would use them again myself.

Excellent work completed on our…

Excellent work completed on our property. From start to finish process was professional and helpful. Explained everything in detail, extremely honest as we thought we had damp on another wall but, so they could have claimed for the work but didn’t. Told us what signs to look for and the person who carried out the work Lee was amazing. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

"My son had two areas damp proofing…

"My son had two areas damp proofing work done on his house, a number off years ago. He is now selling and the survey found issues why the work had been done. My son asked them to check under guarantee which they asked for £100 deposit which would be refunded if an issue was found. I thought was a bit high. I was there when their surveyor from this company came. He took some damp measurements which showed a high reading in some off the areas they had done. He blamed on salts in the plaster because my son had not had the wall re plastered. The area under the stairs had no plaster and was also showing damp readings. He did not actually inspect the work. The deposit was not refunded! I asked a local experienced plasterer to redo the plaster where the damp course had been done. On removing the old plaster he found no holes in the mortar in which J Longdin had said the work would have been done. He felt that no work had been carried out there and that was possibly why there were still issues. I informed Bar preservation, and they denied this but did offer to redo the work. I thought it would not be unreasonable for their operative to re-examine the work and if agreed that it had not been done they should give my son his deposit back. They flatly refused to give any monies back and also flatly refused to let the tradesman comment on their previous work to the point of it being a condition of them redoing the work that I did not ask their tradesman to make any comment. Very disappointed."
