Breaks in seconds, expensive

this thing is insanely fiddle-y and disconnects on the SLIGHTEST movement, less than a centimeter of movement! it is insanely sensitive (in a bad way) and is terrible at connecting with the computer, im drunk while writing this but godamn do NOT buy

Blue Yeti X

I have bought my Blue Yeti X on April 2020, but hardly ever used it because it would get almost immediatly disconnected.Since 2020 I have contacted Customer Support, but the proposed fixes haven't worked as expected.A couple of weeks ago I have contacted them again, and they have sent me a replacement.It works perfectly. I am really happy with it.Thanks Jarvon, and the rest of the Blue Customer Service Team.

Do not buy!

Awful, expensive and poorly constructed microphone. Customer service is dire when the product ultimately goes wrong.Would never ever buy, or recommend.

Purchased a Blue Yeti mic not too long…

Purchased a Blue Yeti mic not too long ago. Suddenly one day it started to sound muffled like it was being heard through a telephone. and this happens only in between recordings, not the entire time.and Now I'm trying to connect for the last 5 days but no reply.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service! Product is expensive and garbage. I could have bought a $20 mic from Walmart that would have lasted me longer. Then when I tried to fill a claim and got to the point of sending my shipping information I get an email stating they’ve declined my replacement and are unable to disclose the reasons why and to expectation can be made and this ticket is now considered closed. Best regards. Like what crappy customer service is that. It’s a darn microphone and you can’t disclose why you can’t replace it?!? So they they your money and screw you. No point in a manufacturing warranty if you can’t actually use it.

Buy their mics but NOT their boom arms

I purchased 2 blue compass mic boom arms to go with my Blue microphones (love the snoball and yeti) Within one year the first boom arm broke (internal cable snapped) and the company made me jump through all sorts of hoops to get a replacement. (Photos of every part-from every angle, photo of serial number, copy of the order form, purchase receipt, fill out a return form with an authorization number, etc..) They couldn't make it more complicated if they tried.To their credit, they did replace it BUT here we are AGAIN less than a year later and the second boom arm I purchased broke (same issue). How can a company that makes such incredible microphones make such poor hardware?Can not in good conscience recommend the Blue Compass Boom Arm when there are so many other alternatives from other brands that are at the same price point.

Blue snowball

Bought a blue snowball from amazon and although light on device was on when plugged in, it didn't work. Contacted Blue Customer Service Team and after a few emails with instructions how to test and fix my problem, they sent a replacement. New one is brilliant. Thank you Ryan P for all your help and swiftly resolving my problem.

Yeti caster didn’t work from day 1 and no satisfactory customer help

I received my Bluemic Yeti caster kit 1 week ago - ordered direct from BluMic as they offered best price. It didn’t work from the off. I tried everything expected of me- different computer, system preferences and no good, neither Mac recognized the microphone. Contacting Blue Mic is a nightmare. No UK number or email. I have a few responses now (from my many ‘tickets’ sent to them, online conversations and face book messages but they are intermittent at answering and my issue is still not resolved after a week. )I really needed a microphone for a project, so ordered a second blue mic this week from Amazon and that has been cancelled for some reason….. now they have two sets of my money and I am chasing to get that back whilst wanting to send their faulty goods (which they seem uninterested in) back to them.How can this happen in 2022? Blue mic, if you see this, please help!

Mixed feelings about this company

I bought a blue yeti microphone from this company and one of the internal connections broke within a a few weeks so it was unusable. It didn't come with an automatic Amazon return if faulty guarantee and I had to go through a lot of rigmarole and emails to get my replacement. Customer Services though were very nice to deal with and as helpful as they could be given the system they had been lumbered with. Not sure the product was good enough quality for the price.

I bought Blue mic and the USB cable…

I bought Blue mic and the USB cable comes of the socket from behind. You will not find compny's physical location listed anywhere on their web site. This compmy does not exist on Better Business Buero. Stay away from buying Blue mic. If it gets broken, you will not get refund, replacement or any other customer service.

Feeling Blue

I've over a hundred mics! the Blue Yeti! easily comes last! It's just a heavy doorstop with 3 cheap Chinese Electret Condenser Microphone insert and a poor quality penny pinching usb connection that fails. Blue won't give you spares to fix it!

Great mic! Great service!

Bought a Blue Baby Bottle for recording vocals. Great mic for my voice. After 1,5 years it broke a small switch. Emailed Blue, and within a week I got a new Baby Bottle in the mail!

Avoid at all costs....

Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company ever.... they’re staff give you conflicting answers which never resolve the issue, they refer you to other departments that don’t exist, it’s a joke. Basically stole my money. Hate the company, wish I never even bought anything of theirs. Put me right off ever buying from them or Logitech EVER again.

No care at all for their customers

No care at all for their customers. I bought a microphone from this company late November 2020. It broke and not work almost immediately. I contacted Blue support and after sent several picture of the microphone, invoice copy etc., they agreed it was covered by the warranty and asked for my address and phone number. After that they disappeared, they don't answer the phone and don't answer my daily emails to them and I haven't got my new microphone either. Don't buy from them as it feels like a scam and you can loose your money. Maurizio

Buy anything else...

We have one of the BLUE snowball microphones - apparently all you need to do is plug it in and go. Wrong. We have 4 different computers in the house, 2 macs, a Toshiba, and a HP. This mic doesn't work on any of them. After several attempts to reach the company for assistance, their response was 'it must be your computer'. Based on the product not working and incredibly poor after sales service, I would recommend buying anything else before one of these products.

Easy warranty claim

I just had a wonderful experience with Blue. My Blue Yeti stopped working about 2 weeks ago. My computer still recognized it, but it wouldn't pick up any sound. I exchanged emails with a customer service rep for about a week with troubleshooting, until they eventually just sent me a new microphone. I just had to send them some pictures of the product, and give them the initial Amazon Order number. The only thing they could improve upon is faster responses, but my experience was completely satisfactory. I would absolutely do business with this company again.

If I could give them less than one star…

If I could give them less than one star I would - they deserve negative stars!! Worst customer service experience ever. In a million years I would never again do business with these guys. In a nutshell, I lost the cord that connects my mic to my computer and they refused to send me a new one, even after I offered (multiple times) to pay for it. They then had the audacity to suggest that I hadn't actually bought the stupid mic, even though I produced the receipt (twice!!). And all of this for an $8 cord. Talk about a company that doesn't get it. My advice: avoid Blue Microphones at all cost.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEIR WEBSITE

Worst customer service as the others have already said. Yes, it's totally understandable to have shipping delays especially during COVID, but they DO NOT let you cancel the order even if the product's not shipped within the promised time, plus you won't be notified when that happens.If you don't wanna waste your time dealing with their poor customer service, just get their product somewhere else with a good shipping & return policy :)

Blue Microphones are top notch

Blue Microphones are top notch. And beyond the amazing quality of sound, their customer service is phenomenal when a warranty claim is filed! I recently had to file a warranty claim due to the usb port becoming loose and eventually breaking off entirely. They asked me to take a photo of the Warranty # written on the microphone in permanent marker, next to the Serial # of the device itself and send that photo to them. They processed my claim and sent out a replacement microphone so quickly. It arrives tonight. So, I'd say that getting a replacement microphone in less than a week is pretty incredible customer service. (Many millions of thanks to Chase Bell and Randall B. with the Blue Customer Service Team!)As far as the shipment times go, you all MUST understand that amidst the coronavirus pandemic, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE went from their office jobs to working from home. A lot of those people then wanted an upgrade to their crappy laptops microphone array. Not one company could have predicted that the demand for their products would increase so dramatically at a time when people are afraid to go to work. Who do you think is making your microphones? People-- actual people who are capable of getting and spreading covid-19. So, give BLUE a break if your complaint is in any way revolving around the length of time it took to make your microphone. Also, please understand that there are a lot of factors that they can't even control-- like the shipping information, packages lost, tracking numbers not working, your shipment has been in transit for 6 weeks, etc.... Not their fault. Most of you are complaining about things that just don't matter. All of your first world problems make me sick to my stomach.

Ordered a Microphone almost a month ago…

Ordered a Microphone almost a month ago and it still hasn't shipped! I asked to cancel the order but customer services keep saying that it's in processing so they can't. I had to call them to get an answer otherwise they don't answer you over email.Absolutely terrible service! Never buying directly again!
