Horrible ble representation of Bob Evans

First the waitress got my order wrong. I ordered the 3 chicken fingers that came with bread and a side of coleslaw or french fries. Then she brought what she said the meal came with which was not how it was listed. She brought 3 burnt chicken fingers with nasty french fries and rotten coleslaw. When I told her about the rotten coleslaw. The waitress said it always looks like that. In all the years I have eaten at Bob Evans the coleslaw has never looked like that! They took $2 dollars off for the coleslaw.

Awareness for Everyone

This is my 13th year of eating at Bob Evans and this is the year that I noticed a lot. I understand that the prices are getting high but why is it that the taste satisfaction it's not there anymore???Anyway. Bob Evans now is a waste of time and money. It's like people are just throwing their money away. The serving size of their menu is too small, yet, the cost is so high. The disappointing part is, it doesn't have an inviting/satisfying taste anymore. Basically, what I paid was just nothing. A week ago, I ordered steak tips. I thought, they were good but nope. It's rubberized, chewy which I wasn't expecting with that.This time, I ordered a platter of fish and I thought, they would give me a good meat of fish, but then, it was breaded fish that doesn't have enough meat in it. I'd say, Gortons fish with 9 counts in the bag that walmart sells is a lot better.I'm just sharing my experience, so, people would aware of these.

We went to the Bob Evans in Laurel

We went to the Bob Evans in Laurel, MD. which is always neat and clean. Our server, Larhonda, was attentive and humorous. Our meal arrived in 5-7min. and was delicious, especially the bacon on my BLT.

I don't normally complain

I don't normally complain and I'm not looking for any freebees for doing so. My server, whom I had to ask her name, Sara(h), I had to ask for everything. She did bring me the to go for creamer since I shake & can't pour. (1 thing good). I had to ask for a glass of ice water. There was no sugar-only the fake kind, I needed silverware as there was none provided. I( might have figured she was having a bad day except that she didn't forget to bring any of that to the ladies in back of me or the people in back of them; just me, a single person at the booth. Makes you wonder. She didn't even stop to see if I needed anything during the service. It wasn't until I had my plates emptied that she noticed & brought my check. She did give me a hand to get out of the booth (that was the 2nd good thing).

Bedford IN Location

We were at the Bedford IN location, and wanted a breakfast for dinner meal. We both ordered eggs over medium, with biscuits and gravy. My husband had pancakes as well with sausage and bacon. I had bacon. There were less than a dozen customers there including us. The biscuits were hard and inedible; had obviously been under a heat lamp far too long. Our eggs were overdone. Bacon was brittle from being overcooked and painful to eat. The gravy was darker than Au Jus and didn't taste like sausage gravy made with milk. Hash browns undercooked and had a bitter, acrid (almost chemical) taste. The meals were $42 in total. We did tip the recommended 15% but would have tipped better if the food was better prepared and edible. Pretty disappointing for a couple of senior citizens who don't eat out often. I was surprised at the poor quality of the food. The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms.

got food poisoning there had to go to the doctor and got a bunch of medicines right at Christmas 2025. I dont recommend

Terrible Service

We had a party of 4 women that had visited the Bob Evans in Sandusky, Ohio on Friday, November 5 around 6:30 p.m. The hostess sat us, but there was no interaction with our waitress or anyone else. I believe there was only one server working that night and maybe 5 tables occupied. No one asked us about any drinks. We sat for approximately 12-15 minutes. The waitress walked past our table 3 times and never even acknowledged us or said she would be with us shortly. We were finally able to track her down, and she said she would be right with us. She then proceeded to take an order for a couple that came in after us. We got up and left and went to Cracker Barrel where we received excellent service. It may be a while before we go back to that location. There is a Bob Evans in another town about 15 minutes away. We have always received good service at that one.

rushed and not correct

Our server took our drink orders as soon as we sat down and it felt like we were being rushed. When we got our drinks she did not give us any straws and it took forever for her to come back and take our food orders. My meal was messed up and when we asked her for another drink because we finished ours, it took her almost 30 mins to get 1 drink. We also had to bring home something else for someone and she gave us someone else’s food and we didn’t notice until we got home because she was practically rushing us out.

Thanksgiving meal to heat and serve at home

I broke my foot a few days before Thanksgiving, so cooking was out!! Looking for an alternative, and not up to going out, I found out that you can order an entire meal from Bob Evan’s, pick up day before, and everything is heated the day of. There were only 7 of us, and the meal was for 8-10. Perfect! The meal was turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, green beans, Mac and cheese, cranberry relish, rolls, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. Amazing, right? The cost was less than the cost of the meal if I bought all the ingredients, and made the meal myself. It took 2 hours from preheating the oven to serving the meal. Bob Evan’s had written instructions with a timeline. So easy! I could supervise from the couch! Long story short, the food was delicious, the convenience couldn’t be beat, and I think this is my new favorite way of doing Thanksgiving. A+++++ for Bob Evans. Highly recommend!

I love bob evans

I love bob evans. Never had a problem with their food. Today is November 27 2025, I ordered a thanksgiving dinner which was really good except I did not get my 2 rolls or my drinks. If I donor get them please take the amount off my bill. Thank You

Between all the fees on top of 20 bucks…

Between all the fees on top of 20 bucks for a meal for my child for Thanksgiving, I paid 30 bucks and didn't even get everything! There always seems to be a problem with this place!!

2 years and horrible never again for…

2 years and horrible never again for thanksgiving So unorganized order is never correct for what I pay this is terrible. Room full of customers waiting forever on ordered placed a week ago. 5 min turned into 10 tuned into 30 and still waiting. HORRIBLE !!! Why offer something you cannot supply

I ordered the Thanksgiving platter for my son who has been in the hospital and medical rehab center for 61 days. He can't walk due to a steel cast drilled in his leg injury. He loves Thanksgiving so I showed up with the published dinner. He said with a big smile how happy he was to see this dinner!. He couldn't believe the luscious apple pie too!. It was so good that he said order me another one mom! I wish to thank the Young lady at our Brunswick BOB EVENS who went beyond Her concern for my son's happy meal. This was the best idea ever! It was the best price as well. You get a 5 🌟 for all your help to make my son a great meal! Thank you

Yes! An Experience of Relaxation and Enjoyment of Great Customer Service & Delicious Food!

General Manager Christina and Server Jaime and the entire team was so awesome to me this AM! They have such a professional sense of care; I had a little online order mix-up, but with no problems GM Christina jumped in to correct and get me out with ease. Even with all of the customers at the start of the day! Wonderful! I can't wait to return to this beautifully decorated, quick service, place of delicious business!

WHAT HAS HAPPENED?

We loved visiting Bob Evans weekly in the past, but things have certainly gone downhill. Ordered takeout tonight - omelets. The omelets were so overcooked they tasted like rubber and can’t imagine that it was an 3-egg omelet. The hash browns were so burned that you didn’t have any potato - just a burned flat patty. Also got banana bread and we got 2 little slivers for each meal. I can understand why there were just a few cars in the parking lot. Can’t imagine they’ll be in business much longer unless they turn things around. Meal was not cheap - $13.49 for an omelet.

Bad Food is the New Norm

Received my order via Uber Eats. Ordered pancakes (undercooked), sausage (old/overcooked), eggs (just okay, lacked flavor), country potatoes (odd chemically taste, overcooked, old). I had high hopes for this order being my first order delivered by Uber. It was not sealed for safety as I thought it would be and it was awful! I called and complained to the manager. She said she would report the complaint to her regional manager. Bad food/high prices just seem to be the norm these days. No pride taken by the restaurant or employees. Very sad. Disappointing.

Not enough servers and cooks

Not enough servers and cooks. It makes us feel like you don't really want very many customers. Bob Evans used to be busy all day long 20 -25 years ago. What the he'll happened. Executive management must suck to let the franchise fall as low as it has. Either get better or close the doors!
