Horrible customer service!! Macy's has not created management to address the customer's complaint. It is extremely difficult to get results. Not a customer friendly department store. Thats the reason that their stock is trading at $22 and Dillards at $599. They will have one less customer and continues to bankruptcy. I have written to their board because the issues I had. No answers. You should send your complaint to them too and may eventually get an answers as they see more and more complaints.

Macy's needs to stop buying their clothes from China!!! I am going on cruise in a couple weeks and had to buy a couple new women clothing items. I bought a casual sun dress and had to order a bathing suit since it is still winter in VA. I noticed the dress already raveling threads and seams before wash, and the bathing suit is sewed with uneven seams, the top is for a triple D in size 8 and the fabric quality is thin and cheap. I bought a good bathing suit from Macy's about 8 years ago and it was very well made and lasted for several years. I am so disgusted with Macy's. In my opinion, they are no longer a high end department store, they are now a high price Walmart.

Looks like I am having the same experience as everyone else. Ordered in the store and told I would have purchase w/i 7 days. Store clerk lied. While checking online tried to communicate with “bot”, but they hung up on me. Tried calling 1800 number, but ended up with someone who only handle “online” purchases. Now I remember why I do not shop at macys anymore. Terrible customer service.

When I called customer service to find out why, I was told—without explanation—that I am no longer allowed to shop online and must make purchases in-store instead.After pressing for answers, I was vaguely told there was a “verification issue,” but no one could explain what that meant or why it was happening. This is despite the fact that I have excellent credit, no history of fraud, always pay my balance in advance, and even currently have a credit balance on my account—which I’ve now requested to be refunded by check, as I have no intention of using it at Macy’s.For context, AI-backed research confirms that many Macy’s customers report similar experiences. Orders are frequently canceled shortly after placement—often due to automated fraud flags or system glitches—even when items remain listed as available online. Macy’s owes me a refund for an item returned and has repeatedly ignored my request for the refund. Macy's blames the lack of refund on a third party vendor they ordered the items through. They even had the nerve to tell me I had to call the vendor to resolve the issue!!!!I bought the items from Macy's. I paid Macy's. Macy’s owes me my refund!!!!I returned two identical bracelets of poor quality in a package with a Macy’s label. Macy’s approved both returns. Both were returned. Only one was refunded. This is not my first experience fighting to get a refund from Macy’s for an item returned my mail - I have the US tracking slip too -.I’ve been a Macy’s customer for decades. Based on this repeat bad experience getting a refund due to me I intend to share my bad reviews across any platform I can find to warn people about my experience with Macy’s. They owe me my refund for the second returned bracelet and ignore my messages. That’s not customer service. That’s theft. I have made six calls at least and spent hours trying to deliver this. And they owe me an apology.

Macy's is a horrible on- line mess! Be aware! I was a customer for Many years with a platinum card, during Christmas I spent over $ 300.00 now they sent me a gold card due to that am not spending enough! How is this allowed on Macy's which had a great reputation yrs ago!! I purchased a pair of boots for $71 00 dollars re2 weeks ago...now they are down to $56.97 cents they refuse to give me a price adjustment!! Horrible company MACY'S. Don't recommend this rip off company!!!

If I could give zero stars I would, but it won't let me...I will NEVER shop here again. Spent over 5hrs (no joke) on multiple calls with folks from customer service, credit dept, account management, digital services, and 'supervisors' just to attempt to purchase a suit for my 13yr old son and have Macy's honor a sale price and discount from using their credit card. Everything that everyone told me was untrue, either outright lies or incompetence and often conflicted with what the previous person told me (everything is fixed, we have inventory, we'll call you back, we can place that order and honor the discount, and on and on).Multiple calls all with people that were VERY hard to understand and did not listen (or understand) much of what I said, and on the final call literally spoke to 5 different people none of which could actually address the issue or even seem to comprehend what the issue was. They kept repeating back the problem, but never an actual solution or any options to resolve the issue. I actually presented 3-4 potential ways to handle it, but they either could not comprehend or chose not to...It's very obvious to see why they continue to close stores, lose customers, lose sales and revenue, lose trust, receive poor customer reviews, and will most likely be out of business within the next few years. Absolutely horribly managed fiasco of a 'business'...

As others have mentioned, customer service is non-existent. Contacted them regarding lost package and reps initially refused to do anything to resolve what should’ve been a simple issue by sending replacement. I’m not waiting a month to possibly receive my lost order that a label was created for but never shipped. Took contacting them four times and way too much of my time to finally resolve.

Great Day at North Park Mall …
Recently I had a wonderful shopping experience at North Park Mall Macy’s. I needed a dress for a special event. I met Gregory in the Dress Department. He was very friendly and helpful. I was able to find the perfect dress!I went to the shoe department and met Toric who helped me find the right shoes for my dress. Very helpful, patient , and friendly. Went to the women’s fragrance department where I met Miss Crissie! Beautiful inside and out. She helped me find a wonderful fragrance that I was interested in but didn’t know the name. I went home very happy!

Been waiting on a refund for over a month
I placed an order. Macys canceled one of the items. I called to verify. Said I was partially charged and would be refunded for the remainder with a new gift card. This was in January. A month later, still no refund. I called again. Didn't seem any refund was issued as expected. It seemed like they were issuing for the first time. Asked for my address, gave my mailing address and they can't use that address. Gave my physical address, and they still can't use that. I find this odd since I've had items delivered to me before, to include gift cards. I ask if they can just credit back the original gift card. OK but it will take 7-10 days or they can give me macy cash dollars (something like that). I said I'll wait for the refund to the gift card. It's been 2 weeks and nothing yet. It can't be that difficult to refund or credit back the gift card. I don't recommend ordering online. Frankly, don't recommend dealing with Macy's. They don't care seem to care about their customers and making things right quickly as possible.

My wife and I visited the Macy's on 34st the flagship store last year and left with a positive experience. We returned on valentines day and it was not good . We walked around and stood at the counter for a while in the jewelry section and not one person approached us . Coming in the doors were jammed opened halfway. Disappointed!

I went in to do some major shopping & I walked through aisles & couple levels! The store was in tip top shape, neat & several sales associates greeted me & asked what they could help me find! I must say I was very happy & glad I came in!!! My purchases went extremely well & the sales associate was very pleasant! I cannot wait to return & shop more!!! Thank you Macy's for making my experience wonderful!

I purchased a bed here on Black Friday with the adjustable frame and they literally scammed me out of my money because they didn’t deliver the adjustable frame so we’ve been sleeping on the floor with the mattress like ghetto for all this time and it was supposed to be delivered today the remainder of my bed that I purchased, and they said that they have no record of the delivery supposed to be even happening and they have no record of my money but when you call you’re talking to people in India, so of course, and why would India know about what were purchasing here in America? I have a text message you can go to Yelp and see that same text message. It was supposed to be delivered this morning on Valentine’s Day so for Valentine’s Day tonight I have to sleep on the floor. And who knows for how long I’ll have to sleep on the floor. But I am going to Macy’s on Monday and I’m going to raise complete hell with the liar that sold me this crap and I’m gonna force them to return the mattress even though I’ve been sleeping on it. They got no records on their end, but I have all the paperwork.
