Absolutely awful! Do not use. I reserved a car through them for work at LAX. Got to the rental place there was 100 people in line, some waiting HOURS bc they had no cars available. I missed all my meetings and ended up paying $180 for an uber. Called for a refund and they will not give it to me. Oh, and apparently they will not let you speak to a supervisor to sort it. Protect your money and go direct because it’s a scam

i had very bad experience with the property i rented in Florence (Nice portion of property near Santa Croce). it was end of December and property had no heating and no hot water. i contacted property for the refund but they lied that offered me alternative accommodation. so i asked Booking.com to step in and help resolve the problem. i had one reply from them (sorry, you had an unpleasant stay) and inactivate the chat. such unhelpful platform! They only interested to take money from you.

Booking.com took £49.50 on 1st January and I am still waiting for reimbursement!! I have had telephone calls and emails and still no money. They keep quoting a reference for the night we actually stayed at the hotel and not the cancelled one! I have the cancellation notice and they agree we did not stay at the hotel. Be very careful when booking with them as a cancellation does not always work. Very shabby treatment by a well known company.

There is some new scam going in on at Booking.com. when you book direct via their website it uses third party at the background and then when you have problems with the accommodation ( and you always do!)they fob you off and tell you that you need to take it up with third party you booked with. I have picture evidence, booking confirmation and discussed it with customer services, with no solution so far. Accomodation I stayed at called gwesTY guest house at Aberystwyth was so bad I think would be safer and more comfortable sleeping rough. When I complained to owners I was told I can go and stay elsewhere if I don't like the room at 23:00 and if I could find somewhere I would! It was £142, for Aberystwyth its a lot of money! Next step PayPal claim and credit card charge back!

Spineless 10% refund what a joke
Please read all reviews before booking with company they are completely useless, customer service are absolutely useless they give you every excuse just to get you off the phone but when you wish to speak to a manager you can not get hold of one , the other day I was waiting for over one hour to talk to just one idiot or I should say manager but I get cut off , they send me a message saying that you have been awarded some money by BC and it’s in your wallet, what a joke they could not have the balls to talk to me they are just spineless idiots , they only awarded me 10% of the money that I spent on BC , BC don’t want to now the truth look on line and look at the terms and conditions that they have with the hotels and villas , if a company is in breach of their contract , under 2.1.2 and lots more and they have to notify you of construction site on or off the Villa property and give you alternative accommodation, The Uma Villa Canggu by Adam Jyota management have breach all rules and regulations of BC ,BC are spineless they won’t stand by the rules and regulations. They just want the money off the customers and the Villas even if you send a recoded post letter to the CEO of BC he does not have the respect to write back he’s a spineless greedy sod , I can not wait until I send them some photos of what I am going to do , my brother has printed out some advertising banners which state the fact of all the above , I’m going to send them the photos saying , i like your advertising what do you think of my own advertising

We fully paid Booking.com for 2 nights at the Divani Palace Hotel Athens. We have a paid invoice from them. Apparently we booked via one of their 'Partners' on the website who then used Trip.com to book one night only. The hotel would not honour the booking (also poor on their part given we had a paid invoice). Booking.com will not help us retrieve our Stolen money after many emails. We also booked car rental and other hotels via Booking.com (as we have in the past) so are a good client. We will certainly never use them again and my advice is DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM given their lack of service and care once you have paid.

Useless!!!!For what would I need to booking.c if not for help! Just learned they are just an operator that cost money!I used booking.c for almost all my bookings. Till now I have a problem and they’re absolutely useless. I even pay a lot of money now because one out of several airlines canceled one out of several flights. After a three hours nonstop on the phone and days of trying to solve this, this employee was not able to rebook me on any other flight in four days!!!! as a result, I had to cancel another flight with a different airline but booked also with booking. the same booking number! Instead of paying me back the full amount, they just paid me back almost half!!! The next booking I did immediately without booking. they’re absolutely sh… !!! All you hear over our is that they are very sorry for the circumstances, but no one is able to solve your problem! So don’t waste your time and don’t book through them! Choose the cheaper options!

I have booked my holiday accommodation with booking as result has turned up a completely nightmare. What was advertised on booking in reality the accommodation was completely the opposite what on booking was advertised. I made a huge complaint with booking and after 5 days of waiting they have refunded just £87.75 as compensation that will not cover even half of what I had to pay while I was on holiday for my mobile date that the accommodation was advertised on booking was saying FREE WiFi but wasn’t free, NO Air conditioning more and more issues with the accommodation that booking was advised. Very very disappointed!!I am not really sure whether I will continue to use booking again!!

I booked a place (Smethwick Birmingham Cosy Spacious Bedroom Londonderry Lane, for my friend who came for holiday on booking.com. Unfortunately, when we got there, the place was very dirty and not fit for human to stay. I had to get another hotel accommodation on booking.com for my friend. I have complained to booking.com for a refund of my money, they have not done anything about it. Frustrating Experience – Double Charged and No Resolution
I had a terrible experience with Booking.com. I tried to make a reservation, but the system didn’t respond and I didn’t get any confirmation number. Thinking it didn’t go through, I tried again—and that time, I received a confirmation. But I was charged twice for the same booking.When I contacted customer service, the AI assistant didn’t understand anything I said. I asked to speak with an account manager and was kept on hold for over 30 minutes. Their system is slow, and their support is extremely poor.The worst part is that the problem was never solved and I lost my money. I expected better from a major booking platform. If I could give negative stars I would. We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights through booking.com only to get to the hotel and find out that they did not have any available rooms. The hotel immediately refunded the amount back to booking.com. However booking.com is refusing to refund us for a stay that never happened because of their mistake. So we are currently out $2250! A very large sum. Their customer service has been terrible and have out right refused to give us our money. Instead giving us a 20% credit of the initial amount spent to use toward some booking.com in the future. As if we will ever use them again! Stay far away from this App and site! Booking.com is a scam!!!

Getting Invoiced without VAT and in Chinese Yen
Based in Europe, I booked a hotel in Berlin for a business trip via Booking.com. I paid via credit card in Euro (no exchange applied). Requesting a VAT invoice, I received one in Chinese Yen with no VAT. Tried to contact customer service several times. No response whatsoever. So, Booking.com, please, do not ask me again to contact your customer service. I already did. Several times. Zero response.

This is my experience with booking.com in may of 2025. I reserved a room through booking.com. and I found out they do not take responsibility for their bookings. I reserved a room at the Van Zant House in Jacksonville May 7/8th. I reserved a room for 3 beds which we needed for 4 people. 30 minutes before we got there the owner sent a text changing our room to a 2 beds. We had to have 3 beds which is what we reserved 90 days in advance. Booking.com did nothing. We had to go to a motel and had to get 2 rooms. Booking,com said to call the owner of the establishment. I had already done that and he just said sorry. I have rented through booking.com over 48 times. I will never do that again. They take no responsibility for the places they rent. I rented a room with 3 beds through booking.com. Thirty minutes before we check in the place changed my room to 2 beds and booking.com did nothing. That's the type of rip off company they are. I have talked to them at least 6 times and they have a script they read from. They are horrible. I've included a picture showing we rented the "Annex which had 3 beds and he moved us to "The Hideaway" which only had 2 beds. which were not enough beds and not what we reserved.
