Bookscouter is basically worthless if…

Bookscouter is basically worthless if you want to sell your textbooks. It's a third party app that offers you next to nothing for valuable books. You are better off selling your books on eBay or a similar site. The time you use on the app and then sending your books to them isn't worth the effort.

eCampus.com LogoHave been selling to this company for sometime but over the last month plus they have ignored my request for paypal or direct deposit and sent checks charging $2 each including multiple orders paid by one check but charging $2 per order. Have contacted them but no one responds!

WOT - World of Thieves

The company does not buy books it steals them. Then WoB doesn’t even give a reason or present evidence of rejection. Don’t walk, run from these thieves.

I sent several books and they denied all of them saying they had the "appearance of counterfeit books." Strange, but I accepted it even though I received no money and they kept the books. I tried them again and received the same notice. Instead of receiving the stated amount, they are sending me $3.00 and some change. I won't be back. Don't waste your time. World of Books is 100% better and I have. never had that problem with their company. This company does not respond to inquiries or emails regarding why they are not accepting books... they just keep them.

Inexistant Customers service

Despite of giving few cents for most of the books, being paid as a seller is a nightmare . Have sold one set of books and received an email to inform me that my money is waiting for acceptance on PayPal . Happily I accept but when I arrive on my PayPal they wrote my email with lot of mistakes so I can’t get my money . I wrote them since 2 days emails to ask to correct it on this way I can receive my income. They ignore all my messages and I can’t be paid .Customers service inexistant even for a seller who bring matière to make more money on us.Deserve ZERO star

I'm not saying more than enough that I have experienced in it. It gives a warm and fresh energy after reading it and some of the contents are of made by themselves without arguing

Scam site

Scam site! They offered pennies (an ocassional $1 if I was lucky) for slightly used books (like new condition) that cost me waaaay more than what they were offering. You'd be better off donating or just throwing your books away since that what it feels like using Bookscouter!

Yusra was a dreamy little girl

Yusra was a dreamy little girl. self-loving. Until that fateful day when she lost her inspiration in life. Yes, she lost her mother in a terrible traffic accident, so that she could not recognize her during the last look at her body due to the many distortions that occurred on her face.Yes, she lost her mother in a terrible traffic accident, so that she could not recognize her during the last look at her body due to the many distortions that occurred on her face.

offers little to nothing

Trying to offer little to nothing for brand new 2020-2021 textbooks! Had way better luck with sites like secondbind! I do not recommend

Bookscout helps with price comparisons

Bookscouter is an app that I used to find online platforms that would pay for gently used books. It is a very helpful app because you can price compare what the going rate for a book resell is and is get the best value for books that you plan to resell. By using book scouter, I made $130 on books that I was originally planning to give away.

Absolute best place to sell books

Absolute best place to sell books. The annoying part is that the price changes DAILY, and can be rather drastic. So, if you use this amazing tool please do not be fooled thinking you won't have to invest your time, effort, and PATIENCE. Also, I will add that weekends are the worst time to check prices; mid-week is best.

So many books come up $0.00 in this app,. Unless you have a huge amount of books it is very hard to meet the minimum on any of the stores to get a pay out. Bookscouter customer service/support is non-existent. They sent an email promising payment for taking their survey then never paid. No response to emails asking why. I do not recommend this app at all.

Customer Service Failings

I recently signed up for the pro account. Two days after they deducted my second monthly payment, the site stopped updating. Despite multiple emails, no one has responded. When it works, it is fine, but this is the second and longest outage in the short time I have been involved. I guess I can understand outages, but I don't find radio silence to be acceptable. At the very least, an email blast or some other indication on the website would serve to assuage the ill will, but they don't seem to care. It's not nice to take my money and then leave me holding the bag.

The company appears to have continual site issues. Although I have used them for many years and even had been "pro", I have found them to be almost nonfunctional in the past 4 months. When I contacted customer service in August I was told they had been hacked, the person in charge of correcting the issue was on vacation, but would be back in a week or so to fix the issues. Since then the site has continued to deteriorate rather than improve. I am sorry that such a one time useful tool has no value now.

I've used them for years and overall pretty good. I wish they supported their vendor tools better, but I hear the company has changed hands so perhaps things will improve.

waiting for a better app

Wow, they bring buyback prices from so many companies!! Before you get too excited, keep in mind most of the companies never buy back ANYTHING. Also, most of them have 50.00 minimums. So before they buy that publication manual of yours for 8.00 (and they probably take just one copy) you need to find more books to put in your order, which you won't. I purchase 3,000 pounds of books a day and I can only use 4 of the companies on the list. There are only 4 major players, the others listed are just wasting space. It's just a page of not currently buying, not currently buying. The phone app is painstakingly slow unlike the brilliant desktop version which allows you to use a barcode scanner and you never need to touch the keyboard or mouse. The phone app cannot be used with a scanner (to my knowledge) but who wants to sell a book to powells for a dollar anyway when you can sell it on Amazon for 25.00 bucks? This app will not tell you what you can get for it on Amazon so you are forced to use two different apps. one to tell you what it is worth on amazon and this one to tell you if you can get a couple bucks if it holds no amazon value. the average price one of the companies pays for a book is 1.50 so it's not a tool to make you money, more like a tool to salvage what you can from the book inventory you already have. Who cares about the one book chegg or CKY books will buy??I have yet to place an order with chegg, cky, valorebooks or bookbyte or bluerocketbooks. Why are all these useless names on here? A truly good scouting app will just list the main players, allow fast scanning And show the lowest price it is selling for on amazon.

One Star Reviews of BookScouter - Use Some Common Sense

For those of you with 1 star reviews. Do your do diligence and read the rating of the BuyBack company you choose along with what others are saying in their feedback. If your just choosing the company with the highest offer there is a good chance your going to have issues. BookScouter is NOT the one buying your books they are a collection of Book Buyback companies making offers to purchase your book.
