Shady Shady Shady..all for a quick buck and greed

I am the kind of person that believes in promoting business, however when a business is being shady with their customers and forcing their mechanics to lie to customers...that's simply wrong. Forcing the mechanics to put all conventional oil (cheapest conventional oil and oil filters) into vehicles that are supposed to have synthetic oil just because the oil is cheaper and then make the mechanics transfer the oil from it's original container into an unlabeled container so the customer cannot see what kind of oil it is. This is simply shady and just wrong. When a vehicle is supposed to have sythetic oil...well there are reasons why a car manufacturer recommends sythetic or specific grade oils. For this company to do this is beyond shady. People are already struggling with the high costs of everything else not to mention any car repairs...but then to put the wrong oil to save a penny. People rely on their vehicles for everything and most people these days do not have the luxury of having a 2nd or 3rd car if damage is done to thier 1st car. Engine damage is not cheap. But just making the mechanics lie is just beyond incomprehensible. My friend literally had to quit after 2 weeks because of the lack of communication from their supposed scheduler Heather who according to the lead mechanic is stretched thin and has too much to do making it difficult to schedule jobs or return calls to her mechanics that are waiting on an approval from her to complete a job. Then the mechanics have to sit and wait for a call back which makes them look incompetent. The constant approvals on anything to be done and then not getting calls back to complete the job on top of lying to the customers per the owners policy to tell the customers misleading information. The owner is not a mechanic and knows nothing about cars...but hires these teeny boppers with a "certificate" ... which absolutely means nothing. I highly suggest you really think about this company and ask to see the container of oil that actually says High Milege or Synthetic...cuz i'm 99.9% sure you are getting conventional. I would also ask to see the new part they are putting and ask to see the old part after it has been replaced. He literally had to go to a customer because she was getting a High oil warning on her car because the previous mechanic put over 10 quarts of oil and her car only required 8.5 quarts. Too much oil in a car can cause damage as well. Please be aware...they are just as shady as "Your Mechanic"...their biggest issue is they have no clue at all what they are doing. Customers call in and say my car is not starting..so they send out a mechanic to change the starter with never looking at the car or doing a diagnostic...then charging the customer a few hundred bucks for something that doesnt fix the problem. These companies that are doing these practices should be ashamed. I will also be reporting their shady practices to the BBB.

No warning about cancelation fee

I was in Ann Arbor and my car was overheating. Goodhood was the only one out several phone calls that could get me in that day. The woman said she could have a mechanic out to me at 3:00. Then asked for my bank card number, but said I wouldnt be charged anything until the mechanic showed up. I then talked to a friend who walked me through troubleshooting and determined it was ok for me to drive with some cautions. I downloaded the app and canceled my appt (roughly 1:00). After clicking ‘cancel’, I then received a notification that I will be charged $90 for a canceed appointment. Not only that- but they ran $90 through - FOUR times.

Disappointed with Service - Gear Oil Leakage Issue Not Resolved

I took my car to Fixmycar to address a gear oil leakage issue, lured by their misleading advertisement on social media claiming quality service for those who can afford it. Unfortunately, they not only charged me a whopping PKR 4500 but also failed to fix the problem. The leakage persists, leaving me with an empty wallet and an unresolved issue. The service quality was below par—they hardly took 10 minutes to change the wrong seal, which clearly didn’t address the problem. The cost was unjustifiably high given the lack of results. I am extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience. Please don’t visit this place. They are good for nothing, and their charges are exorbitant.

No call no show

My car wouldn’t start in a parking lot, so I called and scheduled an appointment for 4pm and was told that I would be contacted by my technician when they were in route to me. 5pm rolls around so I call and they tell me I have a service window between 4-8pm which would have been nice to know when I called originally. 8pm rolls around and no word from a technician or customer service, so I had to get an uber home and leave my car after not hearing from anyone. If nobody could come today why lie? I would give 0 stars if I could.

Cibsumers Beware of unethical practices

Beware! Goodhood is not "good". They practice unfair business practices toward their customers. .My first mobile appointment was a no show. The Goodhood employee did not call, text or email that he would not show up within the four hour window. But they charge $76.00 if you,the customer cancel yoyr appointment. Your credit is required up front.A second appointment for the no show was set for 2days later. The mechanic completed the repairs. The next day while driving, the very same symptoms appeared again 100%. A follow up appointment set again, 2 days later. After a 3 hour inspection, I was told engine light now off and vehicle no longer running sluggish. That's weird since per mechanic said he did not do anything....But I was charged another $90 inspection & diagnostic fee. I did not ask for the diagnostic since he just did one last week. It is apparent the mechanic tweaked or adjusted something...But apparently must charge fee for coming to inspect his work? Not good. I was hoping to use in future...It is No for me.

No one showed up or called me…

No one showed up or called me for my scheduled appointment. I’ve been getting several maintenance services done by one mechanic and each time something else is wrong with the car. It’s an older car so I understand maintenance is needed but the companies communication is awful. Constantly told someone would call me back and no one does. Everyone acts aloof. Mechanic has cancelled or no showed 3 times. I’m not happy at all. Just want to finish the service I’m paying for and be done. Heather has tried to rectify things on her end but it seems to always fall flat because no one within the company communicates to each other.

Seriously???

We have a Honda Accord and a Honda CRV. An honest mistake was made on our end and the incorrect information was provided to GoodHood. They wanted to charge us an additional $40 to go get the correct part. We said we'll go pick it up ourselves. In speaking directly with the part supplier, we find out Goodhood is up charging approximately $40 more than what the part sells for from the supplier. So we then tell GoodHood we'll supply the part ourselves..you guessed it, they then increased the labor price by $200. Seriously? At that time we cancelled the service all together. Be careful with them- get all prices/quotes in writing prior to scheduling a service.

I wish I could give them a zero

I wish I could give them a zero. I am very displeased with their services. I called them and scheduled an appointment with a mechanic after finding out my serpentine belt may need replacing. The appointment was supposed to be between 3pm -7pm. The mechanic showed up at 7:22pm, didn't call or text until he pulled up. He didn't show any remorse, he just said I went across the street. He first looked at my alternator and told me it looked good, didnt look old or dirty, not sure how he saw that because it was night time. He then changed my serpentine belt, he didn't show me the old belt just put the other one on. When he was finished my car still didn't start. He told me I needed a new battery and to get power steering fluid for my car, eventhough he didn't check the gauges. It turns out that my 2007 Toyota yaris is an electronic power systm, not hydraulic so he almost really messed up my car. I bought a new battery as well and the battery light was still on. I had Auto Zone run a diagnostic and they said it was the alternator. Good hood reached out to me for a review, when I told them what happened they said they would make it right and have a free diagnostic set up. After about 7 calls to them I finally got Heather back who told me that they would charge me $90 for the diagnostic if it turns out not to be their fault. Like I'm a mechanic. They are manipulative and just want your money! Stay away from them. My car still isn't fixed and I'm out of money for a serpentine belt that I didn't need.

Kia not accelerating

I experienced a problem with my Kia, I have a Membership with Goodhood Auto. I called and was scheduled for 8am appt. My mobile Mechanic was Aldo. He was on time; had excellent CS skills, very professional and friendly. Ran a diagnostic to find out the problem is a programming system problem that the dealership is going to have to fix. Although Aldo couldn’t fix the problem, he gave me much needed helpful advice on how to explain it to the dealership, he explained every thing he did step-by-step to me as he was checking things out see what it was. He told me what it was not based upon his diagnostics. From the very beginning he started explaining what he was doing and the code he found and what it meant. Aldo was very very knowledgeable in his profession. Thank you Aldo and Stephanie and Colton, (from last 2x’s), and of course Goodhood Auto! You guys are great! This was my 3rd time using your service since my Membership and I have been very pleased so far with the service I’ve gotten each time. Deborah Gray, Arlington.

Enjoyed The Service

Carlos was very knowledgeable about my current car issues. Came within the time frame of my appointment. Didn’t try to force me to get anything else fixed but did point things out.I needed to pay close attention to.

Chevy Cruze Catalytic converter

Called them to see if they do Catalytic converter for a Chevy Cruze front and they said yes and gave me a price quote. So I booked appointment with them and about an hour later the mechanic texted me stating if theirs rust on the bolts I would need to take it to a shop to get it done. On the Cruze the Catalytic Converter is in the same spot and rust will be their do to where the bolts are located they shouldn’t offer the service if they can’t do the job and want to charge to tell you they can’t do the job.

I would have rated this a zero but it…

I would have rated this a zero but it won't let me. I schedule an appointment online for them to come and look at my truck. I knew it was something different when he asked for my card online before they even came out and said it wasn't going to charge me. So I gave him a card that I did not have any money on. So I found up the earlier availability with another company so I canceled this one. After I cancel they attempted to charge my card $70 without even informing me of a cancellation fee. So the jokes on y'all.
