Gas buddy was so amazing years ago. Accurate prices anywhere we went. Now you arrive to find different prices, closed gas stations, no gas station, inaccurate distances. We dropped our premium membership. Was greatest app and now awful. Any one at the wheel?
Well, we got off I-75 at West Branch bc Gas Buddy said the Shell station was $2.85. It was NOT. It was $3.39. Reading other reviews, I will be deleting the Gas Buddy app.
Prices are not updated frequently enough to be useful. Also find certain users are not reporting the correct price consistently. Absolutely useless anymore
Deceitful practices. Does not pay out Reward Points/Gift Cards. Spoke to customer service. Said wait a week. It's been 2 weeks. NOTHINGEven if the rewards come... it's not worth the hassle and time trying to claim your reward.
The customer service is terrible.My card was deactivated a month ago and it has not been possible to reactivate it.
NEVER reports accurate cost of gas. ALWAYS reports Canco on Barton St Hamilton at least 3 full cents cheaper than what it actually is. States false gas prices in city's - if u pass by or call each crntre first u will see how far off this website actually is. Don't waste ur time using it
While the app can save you money when you use it the GasBuddy MasterCard is disappointing on long trips. It doesn’t matter how long you have been a GasBuddy user you are limited to only being able to buy $100 in fuel per day. A recent trip from Michigan to North Carolina in my Pickup Truck I had to use another credit card to complete my trip as it took more than $100 in Diesel. Even today my truck was low on fuel and the pump shut off at $100 and I finished filling up with a second card. This is an inconvenience as you have to hang the pump handle up then start the process again with a different card. It would seem that with the price, especially on Diesel being so high increasing the daily fuel limit to at least $150 should make sense to even the corporate executives at GasBuddy. I am seriously considering switching to UpSide as they do limit you to 50 gallons per location which is more than my tank holds and the Daily limit is $400 not $100.
Absolutely horrible, this new card. Constantly get limit reached at the pump and I have to use a different card to finish filling my car. When you reach out to Customer Service, they asked the same questions over and over and over so it must be a bot. Done with this useless BS.
I have a new phone. My app. was transferred from my old phone & I had to login. It kept sending me in circles. I couldn’t register my gas buddy card in my account. I used their chat app they could not answer my question & stated they would have to transfer me to a tech. It asked for my credit card number & I asked how much it would cost. She said $45. I told her to for get it. It was not worth it to save 3 cents a gallon. I would rate their customer service 0 if I could..
Us to be a great app and a quick way to find low cost gas near you. Now it's bloated with self promoting ads and it loads their ads before giving any gas info. I never did get a price for gas because it kept re- directing to a promo.
After activating it, it worked once tried to use it several times and has declined ever since saying I haven't activated it.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My account was set up with an email I no longer have access to, so I simply wanted to change the email address. Since I cant access my old email, it is impossible to change it. Tried contacting GasBuddy multiple times via email per their instructions, finally got a response that my email was outside normal working hours. I sent my email at 10:49 am EST on a Friday. I then sent another email on a Monday at 11 am and again was told its outside their business hours, which are Mon - Fri 9 am - 5 pm EST...Worst service ever!
My membership was discontinued without a notice or warning. I had been a member for over 10 years. I attempted to open my account only to find out it had been closed. No explanation or warning. I have attempted to contact them several times to no avail.
Very frustrating prices are never accurate. Drove across town and wasted my time and gas.
ive been using it for years and id deffinetly saves me money. my only issue is it isn't connected with upside correctly so i typically have to look at which app has the better offer everytime i pull up to a gas station.
I received a card with a chip that does not work. There is a charge to replace it. What a scam
If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been a customer for more than 7 years and only recently (seems like when they switched to GasBuddy+) I've had nothing but issues and problems with their app and website. Their customer service (Brandi) is beyond horrible. She has zero understanding of how to help resolve the issue. She's asked the same question FIVE times and every time, I have given her the information she requested. The sad part is? She wanted to verify my email. Screenshots and five confirmations later, she is still unable to ask the next question. The app...horrible. The website...horrible. The customer service? A JOKE.
I have tried numerous times to go to a Speedway gas station near me at I-40 Exit 412 on Deep Springs Rd in TN that advertises good discounted gas prices and every time I go there the gas pump tells me to see the attendant which frustrates me and I end up using my debit card. I contacted the Speedway Corporate office to find out what is going on at the person that replied to me told me that Speedway does not participate in the Gas Buddy program so my question is why does Gas Buddy allow Speedway to even show up on the app?To me that is very dishonest deceiving people with fraudulent gas prices. Gas Buddy needs to remove Speedway from the Gas Buddy app.
The new card rollout is horrible. There is no way to talk to a human being. Company used to be good. Horrible, horrible, horrible now.
Can't even think we're to start it's all bad DONT DO IT THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AT BEST A BAD DREAM NO A NIGHTMARE THERE IS NO endThis started when G Buddy stent the new cards out gas buddy+ cards I used my discover debit on the old card so when the new card came I did what I thought was linking my discover to my new g b card I tryed to use the first time an it was declined so I weighted a fue days and tryed a gain an it worked so I assume it was ready to go I used a fue more times and checked my discover account an did not see it on there so I logged on to gas buddy to what was going on an found the gas buddy card had charged it to a card that was not mine and there was a late fee of 30 dollers so I began trying to get hold of gas buddy to fix it and after meny try could not get it fixed now they say I owe 159 dollers 40 or 59 of that was late fee I then added my master card on the G B card and still could pay it. So all of that said DONT USE GAS BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!
