Don't buy from them!!!

I placed an order with them over thirty days ago and still haven't received my tree. I have made 10 attempts to contact them and have no reply. They do not answer the phone or emails. I'm going to pursue other remedies to get my money back. I wouldn't recommend buying from them. I think they are a scam.

Very nice looking plants

On July 17th I ordered a couple of Persian Purple Lilacs from Green Thumbs Nursery. I later read a lot of negative reviews and wondered if I had made a mistake ordering from them. On the 10th business day I sent them an email inquiring about my order. The next day I received shipping confirmation. The plants arrived within a few days and the looked very healthy. I am pleased with my experience with them and would not hesitate ordering from them again

Hit Or Miss, I Won't Try Again Here

I first bought 180 North Privet starts from this company in 2021, and they arrives timely and were great. Over the last 4 years they've done wonderfully. In that initial order we had a failure rate below 2%, and most are thriving today. Fast forward, I decide to expand my hedge and order another 150 starts in March of 2025. Over 5 weeks later I had heard nothing, so I called and emailed numerous times, and finally got an email response days later. Then eventually shipped, but when the plants arrived they looked horrible. I got them planted and watered daily in hopes they'd survive. 47 made it. Over 60% did not, and most of those were brittle and lifeless when they arrived. I emailed them to ask for assistance with replacing those that died. That was 2 months ago and they still haven't even answered my email. I just replaced them two weeks ago with North Privets from another company I found on Etsy, and they delivered healthy plants promptly for $1/more per plant. They're thriving and looking great already. All in all, when I expand my hedge more in a few years, I'll look elsewhere. If these guys ship quickly, the plants are great, but if they don't then good luck getting any assistance or even an answer. It's your gamble.

Buyer Beware

Buyer beware. This company does NOT provide Exchange or Refunds for plants that do not survive. No signage for this anywhere on site. Spoke with Attendant. Rude and patronizing. Bought a dozen plants from this business. After 7 days one of the plant did not survie. Went back to the business with receipts and the plant. I was told, sorry, we do not exchange or procide refunds. Unlike ANY nursery in Ottawa, this is the only nursery that does not provide Exchanges or Refunds.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Ordered, waited, nothing came. Sent several emails and called, nothing. Now the bank has to handle it. Ridiculous scammers!!

My bushes came dead

My bushes came dead. Only two survived. This place is terrible.They don't answer your email. They don't answer your calls. Do not buy from them.

SCAM ALERT!!!!!

SCAM ALERT!!!!!Customer service does not respond to any emails,texts or calls. The tracking number doesn't give any sort of updates. I have tried on MULTIPLE occasions now to reach them over the last 2 weeks with no response. The order is '7-10 business days'...it's been longer. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

No replacement/no refund

Got my 2 white mulberry trees last spring. Never got any type of leaf. Dead withing 2 months. Was told replacements would come in Nov. Way too cold in NE for trees to be planted then. Then said they'd send them in Dec. Then Jan. Have never heard from them except the standard email reply. Told them 3 times in emails that we just wanted a refund at this point. Nothing. No one answers phones. As a former 20 year+ greenhouse manager that shipped 1000's of plants per week I am pretty disappointed in this company.

Possible scam

In my opinion, the site is a scam, they don't answer the phone.My plants ordered in October 2024 have not arrived to this day, I can't get a response either by email or by phone.They send a template email to each of my inquiries apologizing for the delay.Be careful with them.

Very dissatisfied former customer

After more than a year (started 10/07/23) of trying to get dead plants replaced, I've been given one excuse after another, and have finally decided to give up. I was a previous satisfied customer, now I'll never darken their doorway again! HORRIBLE customer service! Avoid this nursery!

Spring order sent in winter

Would give 0 if I could

Would give 0 if I could. Places an order on 9 Nov 2024. Had no contact from the seller. I had to reach out twice and it took them over a week to get back to me. On 29 November they stated my order was shipped, which was not the case, only to find out that they were shipping the order on nine December. Also their website is nowhere up-to-date because they keep trying to defend delays in orders and shipping due to COVID-19. Would avoid this place as as much as possible.

If I could leave a negative stars I…

If I could leave a negative stars I would. My complaint is just as all the others so I won’t go into details but I would emphasize that I paid a $7.99 fee to have dead trees replaced. After losing $175 they socked me for another $7.99 promising to ship trees. This company has terrible reviews from the BBB and didn’t even respond to my complaint through the BBB. I am getting in contact with the TN attorney general’s office for further direction because very few customers have anything good to say. This company should be made to close its doors due to its scamming of customers.

Yes...Avoid At All Costs

This is complaint I sent to TN BBB. June 25, 2024 we ordered a Wahington Howthorn tree from Green Thumbs Garden online, Order#22383. After numerous complaint about shipment delays, we finallyreceived a dead tree on August 2, 2024. We have exchanged over 26 emails with Bre S. and Lisa (assume they are customer service reps) regarding the fact that the tree was dead and set pictures at their request and gave the tree they sent another three weeks to verify is was not producing any buds or leaves. At first, Bre S. agreed to replace the tree if we would pay another $7.99 replacement shipping fee...we agreed but, requests for instructions onhow to proceed never came despite our numerous requests and no replacement ever arrived. After additional complaint,on October 17, 2024, a different rep, Lisa, who was very apologetic, replied that they would send a replacement and waive that additional shipping fee and a promise to ship it"next week". Since then, nothing. We have sent numerous emails in following up but only getting "canned" responses that their email system returned saying that they would respond within 3 business days. I have also called several times. Their automated answering system requesting a reason for the call, a phone number, and promise to reply within 3 days...nothing. In my last email and phone to them I did specify that I would be reporting them to BBB and/or to the Tennessee Consumer Protection Agency if they did not repsond within 3 days...that was yesterday. The phone number on their website that I used is (931) 450-3577...you could call and get the same canned message. All we want now is a refund. I do have all of our email correspondencesif that helps you but forwarding those would be an EML file and cannot be attached here. I would probably need an email address to forward it to you. Avoid This Company At All Costs

Ordered 6 fruit trees that arrived the end of August. I immediately opened the box and 5 trees had no leaves and 1 had only a couple. No leaves were in the box meaning they shipped these trees in terrible shape. I immediately contacted Green Thumbs Garden and was told to "Keep an Eye On Them." I planted them in large tree pots and kept them near our garden where I could make sure they were well watered and babied. Well 2 re-grew leaves, 3 completely died and the last I am not sure if it will make it. Contacted Green Thumbs (same person who told me to just keep an eye on them) just to be informed it was "Outside the Return Window." Very deceptive and shameful way to treat customers. Thankfully I only ordered a few trees to see the quality of thier product. Their loss because I will be putting in an orchard next year. Just buy from Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, etc. They are about 40% less expensive and actually alive when you get them.

Order never fulfilled

Ordered plants in February to be shipped after frost date for my zone. after the due date, I repeatedly email asking where the order was, and was told there were delays, but would be shipped in the next few days. This occurred repeatedly over a month. I finally had to submit a dispute to my credit card company. Submitting a copy of all the emails I received, they refunded me immediately.
