They took my rental deposit in March and now I've cancelled the reservation (all within the provisions of the contract agreement). BUT they still have not returned my deposit. Do not do business with this company!!! Lawsuits pending!!
We were one of their biggest supporters when they launched with the promise of no guest or owner fees and 0% credit card processing fees to both owner and guest, all for just $199/year! We knew they would probably not yield many organic booking or leads compared to the other sites with billions of dollars invested in SEO (we got like 2-3 bookings who found us through them in that many years) but we figured the $199/year was for having a site that charged no fees to guest or owner or for credit cards was worth it.However after COVID hit hard in 2020 payments became more and more delayed. They are already past due on over $6,000 to us and we have over $12,000 more in future guests bookings on the line. We have stopped accepting payments thru them in Sept. 2020 and are advising all future guests to cancel for a full refund (if they get one) from the company and re-book with us directly. We now may have to file a lawsuit as we have not received any responses from them recently.If they pay us what is owed in the next week we will remove or revise our review.
I cancelled a trip due to a death in my family. Owner was great and issued a refund immediately through Home Escape. Problem is Home Escape has not sent me my money back yet. It has been over a month and 2 support tickets and back and forth emails and STILL DO NOT HAVE MY ALMOST $1000.00 back!! I WANT MY MONEY!!!
I still have not been paid from my guests visit. It has been over a month since my guest stayed at the house. It has been over 2 weeks since I filed a complaint that we never received payment. I am starting to think this is a ponzi scheme site. BEWARE.
Very impressed with the quality of their Egyptian cotton bed linen especially as they are so reasonably priced. Also, fast delivery.
