Not only does it seem they can’t lay carpets very well it would seem the staff also can’t drive very well. Dangerous driving to intimidate … so very professional. Wouldn’t go near this company with a barge pole!
Carpet is OK. Fitting of it is not good at all. Had the Carpet fitter out to fix the problems which superficially seemed fine but yet again door bars are not secure and coming off.When I first complained I was told its between me and the Carpet fitter nothing to do with JW. Actually it is to do with them. They told me the name of the fitter who would be coming and gave me a card with his number on it to confirm time of arrival. Will try them again and if they still won't do anything I'll charge back and they can come take their Carpet away.
Great job done buy jw i just cant fault them living room carpet fitted to a very high standard buy gordon. Im absolutly delighted!i also got three mats all in all i recomend this firm and will be back in future.
I have used J & W carpets Darnley for years with no issues.On my latest visit to the store a couple of weeks ago, I ordered a carpet and the best underlay they do for a small bedroom for my baby grandaughter.For some reason the fitter no longer brings the carpet with them, which means two days you need to be available instead of one.Carpet and underlay delivered ok, had to sit in my hall along with furniture etc.Fitter came the next day, fitted carpet. When i came up to look, it became apparent to me right away that this was not a good underlay.Fitter couldnt tell me if this was the best underlay or not.When husband checked, he agreed did not feel good underfoot.Phoned the next day, manager confirmed i had paid for the top underlay, couldn't confirm what was sent out or fitted.For some reason there was not much scrap underlay, but found a small bit and set off to the shop, when checking the underlay on display, turns out what had been fitted was the cheapest underlay.To say the least, i was not happy and when I confronted the manager with this, his reply was "whats the problem, just pull it up and replace it". House is in chaos, now need to be there another day for fitter to come pull up my newly fitted carpet and put the correct underlay down. Fitter did come the next day, which is why i have given a star at all.When asking manager at store how this happened, was this not checked.He replied "these things happen". Yes mistakes happen, but not once did he apologise or offer any sort of compensation for my inconvenience. In fact i was made to feel i was moaning about nothing.Not good enough J & W. I wont be back, customer service is certainly not good enough.
The customer service at the Irvine store was fantastic! Firstly in choosing the carpet and then I actually had to return a carpet due to a change in circumstance (not to do with the quality!), and the guys were super helpful in organising the return. Thank you for your help throughout shopping at your store!
Went to this store with my wife in livingston manager is called John. We were looking for a carpet for our landing and stairs . Size i wanted was 5mtrs x2mtrs the person that was serving me brought a carpet through from the roll end section measuring 5mtrsx4 mtrs and said he would cut a piece from this roll. I then left the shop while my wife paid for the carpet .then it was put in my car .when we got I said to the wife it looked a lot but I just continued to cut piece's from it to do my landing and stairs .and that when the penny dropped I had been given and charged for a 5 mtrsx 4 mtrs I returned to the shop to speak to the manager and fell on deaf will never used them again .ps there is no complaints procedure as they don't have a head office .so the manager oversees complaints against himself a bloody joke .they are worse than kwik fit
Bought from them three times, last time they just throw the carpet on a very dirty place and it was the wrong carpet, a cheaper one. Not buying from this company again

Went to Livingston store on Sunday, found a carpet we liked and booked with the store for someone to come and measure up 3 bedrooms, a hall and stars. Got a text message on the Thursday to say that they had been to the door and nobody answered, 3 people were in the house and a camera at the door and no-one came to the door. Phoned the store and all they could say was that Central team deal with it. What a waste of a day waiting for someone to turn up and they didn't bother and lied that they did.
Unsatisfied with the service!!!Needs improvement
After numerous online searches for a good quality carpet I needn't have wasted my time and gone to jw carpets 1st,their website is super easy to use from browsing to purchase,they have everything in stock and I found exactly the right carpet for my bedroom, delivery was super quick a few days at most , everything about jw carpets is just brilliant,a big thank you to Derek and Brian and also the delivery driver who was so polite and courteous.
Had carpets fitted by Gary and his boys from Wishaw. Couldn't have been more helpful. Moved furniture etc. at no extra cost. Fabulous job. Carpets look fantastic. Would highly recommend them.
The guy pulled off £129 price tag on rug that was now meant to be £179. We got one just a week ago from same place and it was £159. Wasn't like this when John and Smiddy were running it.
Bathgate store sold me to much flooring and underlay and no door strips and the fitters they use are rude and aggressive when challenged about shoddy work

I was guided to rows of carpets in the colour I was looking for at the price I could afford and given time to browse without being put under pressure for a sale. Friendly, helpful customer service was great from start to finish. D. Robertson,carpet fitter recommended messaged with time of arrival and was on time and job done, quickly and efficiently. I'm delighted with my new carpet with special thanks to Steven, manager in the Kilmarnock branch who definitely made sure I had peace of mind as my pup also had the right carpet for his paws and claws!
The guy in the bathgate shop is very helpful but the fitters are not, the older guy was really helpful, polite and professional but the younger guy was extremely rude and loud, charged an extortionate price for laying the flooring despite being quoted a different price
Searched the Internet for hours to find the right rug and got it in the Clydebank branch. So delighted with it and the price was great. Friendly service too.
Purchased laminate flooring, once laid it was 2 different shades of grey. Contacted the company in Kilmarnock, 2 guys came, agreed and promptly replaced it and paid to be refitted.Delighted with result.Definitely buy from them again.Excellent customer service.Thankyou guys.Highly recommend JWCarpets.Mr and Mrs G (Darvel)
Superb customer service in the Ayr store.Advised on cheaper underlay as carpet was thicker quality. This place will never be beaten for service or value!
