A piece of trash with serious safety hazards.
I do not recommend Loona. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience.First, the motion system is overly aggressive and lacks basic safety protection. Its movements are stiff and abrupt, with sudden starts and turns and excessive force, which makes it easy to collide with surrounding objects. This creates clear safety risks when used indoors. In environments with children or pets, this kind of violent movement has insufficient sensing and avoidance mechanisms, making it very easy to cause fright or even collision injuries. I personally witnessed it suddenly charging while a child was playing in the living room, which scared the child into crying for a long time. The interaction is also a complete mess—there’s almost no real response. Most of the time it can’t react based on the environment and just plays random, meaningless animations.Second, the company seems to have no original vision or product philosophy of its own. The so-called new features in each generation are mostly copied from technologies that other robot companies implemented long ago. Even core elements like interaction design, AI response patterns, and the voice system feel poorly stitched together. Many competing brands have already solved basic user-experience issues, yet Loona lags far behind and offers no real differentiation. Changing the shell, tweaking specs, and piling on flashy marketing buzzwords cannot hide the lack of original design.What’s worse, the company’s response to user feedback is slow and dismissive. When I raised concerns about the dangerous motion behavior, I only received templated replies with no concrete improvement plan. This attitude seriously undermines confidence in their R&D and after-sales support.Overall, Loona doesn’t feel like an “intelligent companion” at all. It feels more like a poorly made machine with no safety awareness and zero innovation. I cannot recommend it to families with children, and I definitely don’t think it’s worth its current price.

Do not buy Loona ! It's expensive and has a lot of issues
Kick Starter purchase. After 2 years and 4 months, Loona stopped turning on : the battery is totally dead. All we did was not charge it for 2 weeks. Since it's 4 months past warranty, we are asked to pay expensive fees...Not to mention the robot always had issues from the start (that we stupidly never reported because it was functionnal).We feel scammed and our kid is sad...

Look at the overwhelming amount of negative reviews and understand not to buy this robot. The support is non existent whether you're in warranty or not. They will reply with generic replies and try to blame you for the faults even though they're very common issues. Eventually they will even just ignore you all together. My robot had an issue that would require a very inexpensive plastic bracket to be replaced, they refused to fix it and wouldn't even send me the part to do it myself. All they offered was that I buy a new one from them.The robot itself is pretty stupid as it will run into walls and get itself stuck very easily. The voice is a nightmare, you get to choose from a little girls voice that will irritate you or a grown woman who sounds like she's from an infomercial. Both really are terrible and destroy the illusion of a cute robot pet.Save yourself the hassle and headache and spend your money on a toaster and some goggly eyes because it'll make for a better companion than this glorified paper weight.

I purchased Loona about a month ago and requested assistance due to a technical issue. In this review, I would like to extend my sincerest compliments to the after-sales service. May it be an example for any company. Quick and courteous responses. A focus on customer satisfaction that I have rarely received from other companies. We take it for granted that customer service should be excellent, but experience teaches me that this is not the case. It is rare to receive excellent after-sales service, and Keyi Robot is an example of excellence. As for the product, Loona is truly innovative! What it can do is incredible, and it manages to entertain and intrigue children and adults alike. I hope they continue to provide updates and implement features. I recommend this purchase to anyone. TOP

Terrible experience. No support after robot failure.
No after sales support. The Loona robot stop working, It didn't last a month. I got it on the kickstarter campaign and after the initial failure everything was feeling helpless and finding support delays with worthless mails.Not reliable at all, not the technology nor the support.I don't really understand about all the prizes they claim to have received for the Loona robot, but better to avoid spending your money here.

Very expensive toy no support
I got my loona not even a month she's already having issues. Their customer service doesn't seem to care as no one will respond to my emails. No phone number to talk to anyone. I'm sure their refund policy is non existent as no one will get back to you to even talk about it. Very expensive toy with no support.
