Kia Finance is the worst company ever…I have been trying to resolve a problem about my auto loan for over a month now..I keep getting told that I will get a call back from their corporate office and never got a call back..This very frustrating, They will call you and email you about a payment that’s due but when your trying to reach out to the customer service department for other questions I keep getting the run around..I don’t recommend anyone to go through KiaFinance very unprofessional and you can’t get anything resolved…

This is probably one of worse companies…
This is probably one of worse companies to work with. the customer service people do not understand English and they keep reading from a scrip over and over again. Every time I call, I have to go to the supervisor in order to resolve my issues. This keeps happening over and over again. You guys operate in America, at least put people on a customer service that can speak the language.

I called to get the note, lean letter.
I called to get the note, "Lean letter hard copy" The finance department stated it would be up to 10 days. Then I was told to get a FedEx account expedite the process. I had to pay for the FedEx number. They will not send something expeditially to their customers. As I was past from one person to another. Found it was not going to help, and customer service representative tried to educate me on a notary, assuming I didn't know what a nortary is or does very poor service by Kia. 4 phone calls later, nothing accomplished other than their system, and their care of customers is poor.

The worst company !
I normally don't write reviews but if there was an option to rate this company no star I would. My car was hit Oct 16th and I sent them a check to be endorsed not only did they lose some of my documents but they have now had the check past the 90 mark. I still do not have my vehicle and currently still getting the runarounds. At this point I would like to return the vehicle to the dealership because of how unorganized they are .

I had a dealership outright forge a signature on my paperwork. When I called Kia Finance and Kia Consumer Affairs, they did nothing, literally, well, other than tell me I should talk to the dealership myself. They do not care about dealerships with their name on them being 100% crooks.

Left Kia for Ford
After only 1.5 years with Kia, we went back to Ford. After a manufacturers defect left us without a car for over a week, we were left to pay out of pocket for a rental. The van was a brand new, top of the line Carnival we paid almost 60K for and, despite asking, there was no offer to give us a discounted rate, a car off the lot or cover the rental. While I understand this is Kia’s “rule”, good customer service says you provide folks with something as a “good faith” gesture. In addition to this, the explanation we got for what caused the problem was a load of bull. We were told our battery kept dying because we would walk by the van with our key fob and it caused the lights to come or it could also be caused by keeping our key fob at the front door. In what world does that make ANY sense?!? Our issue was a known problem with Kia and, yet, they have no desire to fix it or investigate further. We finally traded in the van for a Ford Bronco Sport, received a top notch warranty package and guarantee of a car to cover should the Bronco have to come in for any manufacturer defects. We also received a top notch interest rate. The frustrating part in all of this? Kia doesn’t accept anything but physical cheques so Ford had to MAIL them the cheque like we are in the 1990s again. So, ahead of the holidays and during a time when Canada Post is at its least reliable, Ford sent them a cheque. I have received two calls saying we are past due on our payments for the van and despite explaining we no longer own the van, they refuse to call Ford Finance saying they don’t deal with third-parties. How hard is it to look up a phone number and call? This is the exact reason we left. I should have gone with my gut when we walked into the Kia dealership and everything felt performative. I will never, ever buy a Kia again because, while the van was AMAZING, the service left everything to be desired.

Stole money not authorized from my bank
I bought my car on the first week November payment was made of $8,000.00 from my savings. I had gotten hit and my car was totaled so I bought the new one. They claimed the money never came i told them I sent it the payment was only t I be 468.00 she insisted on putting it through again my bank called me saying I had till ten yo get them the money so my brother rushed it up there and I was charged $30.00. Then in December I paid $5,000.00 on the 8th then on the 10th I received an email telling me I owed them an $8,000.0) payment by the 10th I called them telling them what my payment was set up as and I paid the $5,000.00 they said i was a lier and took the payment for $8,000.00 I only owed for payoff $7,200.00 they have the car paid off but on the 14th they sent notice to the credit bureau that I owe $12,169.00 and they refused to correct the mistake. I am going to have higher insurance for having outstanding loan. Plus I am under the care of seven specialists to stay alive I do not want this stress.

DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH KIA FINANCE…
DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH KIA FINANCE AMERICATimeline of trying to make a payment:No autopay for 6 months unless you mail a physical check. Dealership never mentioned this or offered to set it up.First payment "failed" despite correct info and funds in account. Bank shows no attempted debit. Got charged a late fee anyway. Rep had no explanation.Website date picker is broken. Grayed out, can't select dates, can't type values. Looks like Flash-era software.Tried to set up autopay today. Clicked Continue. Page scrolls to top. No error message. Nothing. Disabled ad blocker to troubleshoot - 9 trackers loaded instantly. Site can't process payments but CAN surveil you.Called them. Robot repeats "Say yes when you get the text" three times before revealing other options. Does not detect screaming. Finally routed to a third-party payment processor with its own privacy policy I had to agree to just to pay my facking bill.Paying with a human on the phone? That costs extra too.Meanwhile, my dealership (Garden Grove Kia) pushed hard for a perfect score on Kia's internal survey in exchange for a free tank of gas - before I'd experienced any of this. Those internal metrics are worthless. The system is designed to capture good ratings before reality hits.Finance through a credit union. Finance through your bank. Finance through literally anyone else. The car might be fine. Kia Finance will make you pay for it in more ways than one.

Kia customer care so incompetent!
Kia customer care is so incompetent!! I called numerous times regarding my cancelled extended warranty refund to be told that it was going to be issued to me to only find out after months of chasing it down between the Kia dealer and Kia finance to find out it will not be a refund!! I went by what they told me and now I'm out money their customer service reps said was coming to me.... during the holidays!! So dissatisfied with them!! DON'T BELIEVE THE CUSTOMER CARE REPS....THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!

I don’t like this company
I don’t like this company. This company has not been honest with me. They double charge me and say that my payment is due after it’s already been paid and I can provide a confirmation number. Kia Finance continues to double charge me and I don’t feel comfortable at all with this company

Beware of Kia Finance America
Purchased a new 2024 KIA Telluride with the GAP addendum that was financed by Kia Finance America.Disposed of the vehicle in May 2025 and requested a refund of the balance of the GAP. After over 45 days contacted the lender via telephone and was informed that a check had been sent out in July 2025. Contacted them again in early August 2025 and was told they needed to "investigate the issue" and a new check would be sent out within 15 days. No check received by October 2025. Again, same answer and waiting period on repeated contact. It is now mid-November 2025 for a transaction finalized in May-June. Still no check received and again the same excuse. Apparently they seem to think we are just going to give up and they will just keep the money! Not a very trustworthy enterprise!

I wanted to share my situation with Kia Finance
I wanted to share my situation and see if anyone else has run into something similar with Kia Financial Services.I leased a Kia Niro on 10/15/2021, with the lease ending on 10/15/2025. I decided to return the vehicle about four months early, and Kia’s initial letter indicated that—besides a $400 lease-end fee—I’d be responsible for roughly $1,400, with a more detailed breakdown to come later.Since returning the car, I learned that it was already sold, yet I’m still receiving system notifications about it. Then, just two days after my original lease maturity date (10/17/2025), I received a collection notice saying I’m in default for the entire four months of remaining lease payments plus the $400 fee. From a practical and fair standpoint, I don’t understand how Kia can charge me for lease payments on a car they’ve already resold. It also directly contradicts their earlier communication about the $1,400 total.Has anyone here experienced something similar? How did Kia handle it, and were you able to get the charges corrected? Thanks in advance — I really appreciate any insight from people who’ve dealt with Kia or other leasing companies in similar situations.

Kia Finance America is very slow to…
Kia Finance America is very slow to resolve issues. I had hail damage to my 2023 Kia Sorento. My insurance send the insurance claim made out to Kia Finance America and myself to get endorsed for the body shop to complete repairs. Somehow Kia Finance America processed the check against my balance. When I informed them of the error on June 13th, Kia customer service said it would take up to 15 days to reissue the check to the body shop. After 15 days, I had to follow up to find out they had not process reissuing the check. I had to get my insurance provider and myself to contact Kia Finance America multiple times. Kia Finance America then contacted the body shop on a Friday July 11th to say they would overnight ship the check. Kia Finance America did not contact my insurance provider or myself about sending the check. It is now July 18th. I had to call Kia customer service again to find out the insurance claim was finally sent out on July 17th. Customer service could not tell me if the check was overnight shipped, so it will probably be another week. Due to Kia Finance America errors and slow response, I've had to pay for a rental car out of pocket for 2 weeks so far.

Scam to GUARANTEE that you will get BAD Credit
What a Scam!By default, they make the setting such that when you set-up autopay, it cancels *1* payment before your last payment, so not only do you get dinged for late payment, but they also report to credit agency, and then when you call to resolve, they charge you an extra $4.50 to take the payment over the phone! This way they ensure they get extra money from every customer! I will never buy from Kia again

Kia Finance is not clearing the final payoff I sent to them. I cannot seem to get their attention to credit the payment and close my loan. My experience has been horrible and they don’t seem to care.

1 star is too high a rating
1 star is too high a rating. The car has been paid off for years, but getting proof so I can sell it seems impossible. I am currently paying insurance on it even though I don't drive it. I want to sell it but need that proof. It's quickly getting crazier than I expected. I wish I knew what it was going to take to get rid of this car.

Kia cars 👍, Kia finance 👎
Kia cars are good, but Kia Finance is bad and not trustworthy. I returned my leased kia car to the dealership in a pristine shape and got a new Kia Seltos 2025. The dealership did not comment on any damage. Two months later, I got an letter saying that I own tem additional $419 for excessive wear and tear. The report was not available, and I had to call them to get it. They emailed me a report of assumed wear with very low quality pictures. It is scam. Try financing through a bank. Avoid them at all costs

nightmare of inconstancy’s
I got into a car accident in February, and it has been a nightmare working with Kia. They picked up the car without any notification to me or the insurance company. They nearly sold the car before my insurance could inspect it and have not been consistent with the information they provide me. I'm still working to get this paid off with the GAP insurance I purchased when I originally signed for the car.
