Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Among the worst I have seen. First as they started the project things came up that they were not doing and when we asked about it, they only said it wasn't in the bid. Well it should have been or at least asked. Then we recently had issues with one of the drawers the the kitchen they did stopped working properly and when we contacted them they never returned the call after leaving messages. Salt Lake City Utah location.

Loved working with Cory and Michael
Loved working with Cory and Michael. Love our new kitchen. Everything Cory suggested worked for us. Michael worked endlessly until it was finished and Cory was a phone call away, always there to answer our questions.

Simply the best...two tone kitchen!
The team from Kitchen Tune Up Louisville was simplythe best! Professional, courteous, and ethical! There is a 'process' to every profession, and if youunderstand that, your expectations are rarely compromised! Those of you who don't know theprocess, there are a thousands of parts that go intoredoing your kitchen, its' like putting a puzzle together, and there will be instances when everything will not be perfect! That's life!Cory was great at communicating the process, discussing any potential issues or delays and I now have a beautiful two tone kitchen!Would highly recommend his team again and again!

Contacted them from a Facebook ad for a free estimate...they man came out, took measurements and talked me into spending $125 for his designer to give me a design. Next week came and took additional measurements. Keep in mind my kitchen is small, so it would be pretty basic. Next week had a phone conference with his designer about the images, they looked good, so no issues. Didn't hear from him for two weeks, when he sent me images of different wood for the counter top. I told him which one and he stated he would get me an estimate....now weeks later, nothing but crickets, out $125. Wouldn't trust to use them if it takes 2 months to get an estimate.

Do not stand behind their work
Let me begin with, I’m keeping this brief.I have already wasted too much time and energy and to no avail in attempting to rectify not only one but two different problems at two different locations.Kitchen Tune-Up has been completely uncooperative in remedying my issues. They do not stand by their product, nor the installation of, they lack communicative skills not only with their clients but also between their subcontractors. They do not hold themselves accountable for any mishaps occurring during installation even though their experts are on the job.In addition the office staff is totally unprofessional expecting you as the customer to deal with contractors they hired.Take it for someone who has learned a valuable lesson, do not use their services!

The guys from the Idaho Falls
The guys from the Idaho Falls, Idaho location were fabulous! There was an issue with the countertop in that it fell off the truck and broke before it was delivered. This was no fault of anyone - simply an unfortunate event. Olive assured me it would be handled as expeditiously as possible and it certainly was. Alex and Oliver were friendly, professional, conscientious, polite and fun to be around. They did an amazing job on cabinet re-face, new floor and beautiful backsplash! I am so pleased with Kitchen Tune-Up and my new kitchen! They definitely gave 5 star treatment to this client and I would recommend them to do your kitchen!😊

Over promised and under executed
Originally, we chose to hire Kitchen Tune-Up because as a military family we like to support veteran owned businesses and we thought one veteran would be honest with another veteran. When David Lawrence came for our initial consultation, he represented this company as one that would provide craftsmen using state-of-the-art technologies and a process that involves minimal downtime. We feel that this is a case of over promising and under executing. They worked on our project for six weeks which was not within the original 20 days promised. As we struggled to hold them to a quality standard, they became more and more argumentative. Although the contract only calls for a down payment and a final payment upon completion to the customer’s satisfaction, they demanded their final payment when we did not consider the work complete. When we declined to pay the full amount of the final payment, (suspecting we would never hear from them again) David Lawrence threatened us with a lien against our house and that he would call a lawyer. We said go ahead and David and Darren started yelling that we complain too much and that we were the worst customers that they had ever had. David Lawrence claimed that he needed our payment to make payroll and pay vendors. We gave a partial payment and they returned several times to finish the work. We have since made the final payment. The painting of the kitchen and the cabinets were far below par. Constant call backs to improve the quality. We had to purchase the paint and they didn't seem to know how to follow the directions for use. We have three sections of our counters that were to have granite. During the first installation of the granite, all three pieces were cut unevenly and too short. The countertops had to be replaced. The second replacement granite was installed off center. David Lawrence insisted that was warranty work and he considered that part of the project complete. We did not believe him (especially since no warranty document had been provided at that time) and requested Mega Granite return and make the proper adjustment. He always seems to have trouble connecting with Mega Granite or getting them to call him back which resulted in further delays for our project. Mega Granite did come a third time and straightened out the countertop. The granite opening for stove also required adjusting.

Beware of Kitchen Tuneup-we lost over $7000
I would give them a minus star if that was available. My project in Montgomery county Texas was initiated about July of 2023. Unfortunately, my project did not goes so well. There were constant delays and the contractor would not answer my calls or texts. We waited for months for the project to be completed with no real action. About 2 weeks before Thanksgiving we needed to have our kitchen completed. All we had was a piece of plywood where the granite was suppose to be. We finally got a response from the Kitchen Tune manager and he told us that he could not get the granite from the dealer because his assets were frozen by the state but he was working on a solution. I offered to pay for the granite and installation if he would sign a note to repay. He agreed and signed the note. We paid for the granite directly to the dealer and it was installed timely. In December the franchise owner filed for bankruptcy and we were out $7000 with no recourse. I hoped the corporate Kitchen Tuneup would take care of our loss but they declined. So we are out $7000 and had to complete the project with different contractors at our expense. Beware of Kitchen Tuneup franchise.

first impressions are so important
first impressions are so important. This company failed. Had an initial consultation booked and the owner of the burlington site did not have the decency to call me to tell me he was delayed. well that tells me everything I need to know! If I can't trust you to make an initial appointment or at the very least have the courtesy of calling - you're not getting my business

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. We used kitchen tune up of Wappingers, NY. Wrote a check for our down payment to find out a month later they went out of business. Brian Hill, the owner new he was going out of business and cashed our check without hesitation. I have been trying to get in touch with headquarters and no one is returning my calls or my emails. This is a poorly run business. They made promises that they never upheld. Please do not use any franchise.

We have been pleased with many…
We have been pleased with many contractors that have worked on our home. Unfortunately, our experience with Kitchen TuneUp Greenville, SC has been the complete opposite. We had our last cabinets installed Dec 21st. This is 298 days after paying 50% deposit Feb ‘22. We were told it would be ~6 weeks before install. 5+ months went by with our follow up calls/texts ignored or responded to with endless excuses. Early Aug there were very few strips of veneer installed after 2 days. Unfortunately, the color after install did not go well with the rest of the kitchen in our opinion. My husband and I discussed it that evening. We called KTU to get an idea as to how much it would cost to make a color change. We were told less than $1,000. This cost was significantly reduced because KTU stated they had ordered wrong cabinets by mistake. This was good news in that we could change at a low cost, but disconcerting we had not been told about the cabinets. They stated they were just planning to install them temporarily. They agreed to halt work on our home since removing a little veneer was much less labor intensive than installing twice. We selected the new color ~48 hours later. We were told it would be 15 days to receive the new inventory. In Oct they are finally back and when we arrive home from work our end panels had been painted. We were reached out to KTU. Here is her response: “was going to reach out to you tomorrow to present both options because painting is an option that was not available when you originally planned to install the smolder stained materials. Paint would have been proposed as an option….” We stated we paid for panels so let’s go that route. KTU’s only response: “Sounds good! Yes, that is correct!”. On Oct 17th at 10:05pm KTU sent an invoice for the color change for $2,894.75. We saw it first thing the next morning. This is $1,894.75 more than the max from the verbal quote. Included in the invoice was the following threat “If you do not intend to remit payment for this invoice today, please let our office know. Unfortunately, if this is the case, we will have to modify our installation plan and will not be able to return to your home on Tuesday. This will, unfortunately, result in a delayed completion date. “ Also included with this invoice was the 40% of the rest of the project. As explained to us, this 40% payment was requested only after KTU had verified all correct materials had been delivered with correct measurements and no defects. We took their word and paid the 40% invoice that morning. Regarding the invoice for the color change, we repeatedly asked for a written response as to why the difference from what we were told verbally. This request was ignored until October 28th. She then tells my husband she didn’t include the end panels. This explains why they wasted time painting the end panels. We promptly paid right after her response. There are now 14 open issues due to numerous measuring mistakes etc. on Oct 28th, 7 business days past the maximum estimated completion date in which we have reluctantly given KTU 100% access to our home. On this day 1 person came to our home and installed 1 piece of molding. We were told someone would be out to paint that afternoon. No one showed and no explanation was given when we inquired. Slow progress until ~Nov 3rd to complete the contractually obligated contract with our color change. We asked for nothing more. At this time, we are once again in a holding pattern waiting on incorrectly ordered/cracked/installed materials. KTU finally finished on Dec 21st. We received the final invoice on 22nd (sent after 10pm the night before). We then received over 10 e-mails and a text a 5am threating to come to our home for a check when we had always paid via credit card. Now I am trying to pay via credit card and there is a surcharge never applied before. Will pay as soon as resolved. I post this hoping no one else has to endure this type of treatment in the future. We learned our lesson the hard way.

Great job by Dave Huber and his team.
Last year Dave Huber and his team totally remodeled our kitchen by changing out cabinet doors, installing new lazy susans and building drawers where there weren't any. They go above and beyond in making sure you are satisfied. A couple of weeks ago, they built and installed a new large cabinet in our laundry room. Again, GREAT job. Robert & Carla, Centerville, OH.

Awful
After a consult, It took a month to receive the quote (Jenny claimed she emailed it and Kitchen-Tune Up's system was not working properly). I gave her the benefit of the doubt and paid my deposit. I STILL HAVE NOT APPROVED ANYTHING! Which of course means an order has not been placed. AND SHE HAS MY DEPOSIT. She will not call me and every 3 or so weeks will sent a text "I sent you something to approve via email . . . let me resend". Still waiting for that resend (after requesting several times via text). This company and franchise . . . AWFUL!

Fabulous!
Can't say enough good things about Ed Hernandez and Kitchen Tune-up of Columbia, SC. The job they did was fantastic and even though we only had the tune-up treatment done, my cabinets look like new! And it only took 2.5 hours! They left the kitchen neat and put together. Would highly recommend.

Beware
To be avoided at all costs if you are looking for a professional standard of cabinet painting and a reasonable price. This Tyler Texas company is expensive, does not deliver the basics and cuts corners at every step. There was no preparation at all on the cabinet surfaces. Just sprayed paint over dust, dirt and anything on the surface of the drawers. They used latex paint instead of oil based and, after assuring me the outcome would be just as good, the paint peeled and chipped all over. After multiple walk throughs during the process they attempted to touch up the paint to fix it. Using a brush and leaving brush strokes everywhere with a different color paint. After spraying the doors, imprint of plastic covering was embedded in the wet paint.I can go on but the pictures should tell the story.I am now having to pay another company to start over, including full repaint of the laundry room walls and ceiling from the cabinet paint overspray. The owner says he stands by the quality of this work...

Why was I refused service?
I had to select a star to completed a review however the service/(non) interview was terrible. Kayla arrived at my door as I just completed a zoom call. I hurry to get to the door to greet Kayla when she stated " I do not feel comfort promptly turn around and left my resident. I asked her what was the problem and she did not respond. So what was it ? Is it because I had not place my masked yet or the color of my skin? So at this point I decide not to use Kitchen Tune-Up Service.

This is a REAL HONEST REVIEW...I…
This is a REAL HONEST REVIEW...I recently bought a home 8/20 that had refacing done (2018-19) of the entire kitchen cabinets, replacement doors and drawers by Kitchen Tune Up. I needed a side refrigerator panel installed and the upper cabinet moved forward along with warranty work since the plastic refacing was falling off several cabinets and bubbling. Unfortunately, getting Kitchen Tune up's contact person, Jeff the "owner" or basically anyone to return phone calls, texts to confirm scheduling was impossible. Weeks would go by after submitting photos of the requested work, then only to be told, resubmit the photos again. When the installer finally arrived, he was unprepared to do the work, even though I had planned this with them via photos, etc., months in advance. While he was at my home, I showed him the cabinets above the cooktop that they were uneven, 36" in the back wall and 35.5" in the front making it impossible to replace the 30" range hood with a 36". The installer agreed that the panels that were previously installed with the laminate was incorrect and when I was ready to replace the hood to call the office. I called Kitchen Tune up a few months later when I had the new 36" range hood and I was told that they would not do small jobs under $2500 and they refused to make good on their shoddy work even though I was willing to pay to repair this work. I called 2 GC's and both said that the work was unprofessional and shoddy and could not make the repairs due to the refacing. Now I have the $650 range hood that is sitting in my kitchen unable to get installed. Kitchen Tune up DOES NOT stand behind their poor quality work and most importantly, you are faced with the fact they will not honor warranty work or return your calls- as many other reviewers stated on Google. If you want to go through **** to get this cheap quality work done then you will be on your own. As I mentioned, this is a true honest review and I really would not want someone to be in the situation that I am currently in.
