My message to Christoph
During the workshop, I learned the importance of creating a shot list and shooting plan. I also learned how to use camera moves such as tilt, push, pan, and glide. I also gained essential knowledge about lighting and sound recording. I realized that one minute can mean a lot if you know how to effectively tell a story. The One Minute Academy has sparked my interest in the video industry like never before. This format will help me advocate for different causes, such as environmental protection, and share stories from across the country.I am grateful to the U.S. Embassy in Rwanda and to Chris Geisler for his generosity and ingenuity in teaching us over the past five days. This is a great start to my career as a radio journalist. As the media landscape changes, the skills I gained will be invaluable.

Untold story
I am Zacharie from Rwanda,One Minute Academy is a game changer in the way we create and perceive video content. Christopher’s teachings revealed a powerful truth "what we don’t know is often the secret to transformation". In today’s fast paced world, content isn’t about wealth or status,it’s about what people see. Length no longer matters; the impact does. Before joining, I saw storytelling as simple pictures. But One Minute Academy opened my eyes, refining my tourism work, pickleball awareness, and personal storytelling. In just one minute, a video can captivate, educate, and inspire. They taught me not only how to edit but how to craft stories with depth, ensuring every second counts. Unforgettable learning journey
It was an unforgettable experience! Five days, five assignments—technical and creative skills. In the course, we learned how to work with Adobe tools for editing and got to know practical filming techniques. Christoph and Souad were in the capacity of excellent instructors and have created a friendly and relaxed-atmosphere where ambiguous concepts were made easy. I felt the positive energy throughout, so it made it a truly enriching journey. I’m grateful to have been part of it!

A positive experience all around !
This workshop was so great; it was worth the time invested in, despite the delicate balancing of work and assignments. I enjoyed the experience immensely! I feel like I learned a lot in such a short time, and I am now much more confident in my video literacy. The staff, Christoph and Suad were simply the best! the sweetest people I ever met on such training, they were as willing to invest their time in our learning. It made me try harder despite the challenges because I wanted them to see that their knowledge was actually successfully transmitted.

Excellent class
Excellent class! I learned a lot, the teachers were extraordinary. All the basics that they taugh us were really enough to create something nice. I am so glad I was selected to take this class. I would suggest that they mention the students to make sure their operation system works fine for downloading the editing program in advance. I had some problems with that and delayed me from the classes. Nevertheless, it was all fantastic.
