We ordered a building for a garage in…
We ordered a building for a garage in November. We needed the drawings to submit to the county to get a permit. First they send us a generic drawing, of a building that isn't even the building we are putting up, thenafyer lots of explaining what is needed after a lot of back and forth they finally sent us the correct drawings for the building that we woukd like to put up. We heard back from the county that the roof snow load is not to standards on the drawings. Again with lots of back and forth Rhino then says they would need extra money to change the drawings for dite specific drawings. This was a few thousand dollars, and we were promised that we would have the drawings in 20 days. It's now been over 30 days and we still don't have the drawings and all they can say is we are working on it. People do not use this company!! They have no clue what they are doing, as a contractor they should have known exactly what drawings were needed, we should not have been the ones to have to tell them. This is just their way of getting more money from you. It's now almost July and we still have no drawings and no permit. We have decided to get an attorney.

We are extremely disappointed with the…
We are extremely disappointed with the customer service we have received from Rhino Metal Structures. Our project began on December 30, 2024, and as of May 2, 2025, we still do not have the proper paperwork to complete the permit process. Our original salesperson, Kevin Gonzales, was no longer with the company as of February 11, and we were not assigned a replacement to continue assisting us.We reached out and spoke with Leyma Fermin, who informed us they were still waiting on engineering. On February 25, we emailed a request for an update—we received no response. By February 28, out of growing frustration, we requested our deposit be returned, citing the lack of communication. We were later told the engineering calculations had been forwarded to us on February 26. This was inaccurate. While we did eventually receive a set of plans, they were incomplete. On April 25, we again contacted Rhino Metal Structures, asking to speak with Leyma Fermin. At the request of the permitting office, we needed specific building specifications to be clearly highlighted or circled on the provided documentation. We were assured this would be done "within an hour" or "by the end of the day." Seven days later, it is still not done. Each time we follow up, we receive a new excuse: Leyma is "at lunch," "went home sick," "left for the day," or today, that she has "been out all week." Meanwhile, we are in limbo, unable to proceed, and losing money daily due to the delay. At this point, we are requesting a full refund of our deposit. This experience has been unprofessional, disorganized, and highly frustrating. It feels as though Rhino Metal Structures is indifferent to the impact their inaction is having on our project. Proceed with caution if considering working with this company.

products not fit for purpose-rude staff-After reporting 3 times that a product was not fit for purpose we had to call again-spoke to 'matt' who informed us that he is a very busy man and hung up.we will be pursuing this in the courts for our money back. Needless to say will never use again.Trying to review so that any other organisations don't get caught by this organisation. We supplied full drawings and still got shoddy service from start to finish.

Good quality building, poor selection of erectors
Good quality building. We ran into a snag with the "suggested" erection company and ended up parting ways with them. We share fault in that while at the same time we are glad we parted ways. When we called Rhino to see if they had any other erectors they could suggest the salesman said "Nope, you ran off the best we had, good luck with your project" and hung up. This is a commercial project and their "BEST" showed up in shorts and tennis shoes with bad attitudes. Needless to say, we found and actual "professional" erection crew with the right equipment for the same money. It is doubtful we will use Rhino for our next project due to the poor attitude of a salesman. Good building but we will order the next through someone else. If you are in Texas and need an excellent erector, Rockin S construction will do you right and professionally!10/19 1:45pmThank you for taking my call and discussing our issues. That is customer care.

This has been the worst company to deal with. The beams did not line up and did not have holes to bolt up the beams at all on 4 different pieces of the beams. (That should have had them) Could not get the company to work with the construction company I hired to put up the building. It has been a pain to deal with this company, and has cost me more money to fix their mistake! They are rude and spoke to us like we were stupid! You would think spending 20 thousand dollars on a product, that it would be sent to you correct. NEVER buy from this company!!

Excellence in knowing there products
My salesman was Jimmy Hammitt, he was excellent in all aspects. His response time on questions and changes was hours not days. I picked the building up at the Indiana plant, they were very accommodating and helpful. This is a top notch company as far as I'm concerned!!!

Installation
I used the preferred installers and realized a month later when I was finishing everything else up that 3 out of the 5 walk through doors were installed wrong an 1 can even be opened by just bumping the door

Rhino Building construction in Alvin, TX
It seems like it is kind of a crap shoot trying to find a good steel building company if you go by online reviews. I found a website that had the 10 best steel building companies in the U.S. and Rhino was very high on the list. I started researching them and some of the others and couldn't really find that many reports on Rhino. What I DIDN'T find was a bunch of negative reviews so I emailed them and got an immediate reply from Jimmy Hammett who wanted to know what my project entailed and if he could answer any questions.Over the course of several months I asked for various different quotes on different size buildings and layouts and he always quickly turned around my quotes. I have to believe at some point he wondered if Rhino was ever going to see any of my money but he never let on that he was starting to lose interest in giving me the information that I was looking for or my indecision as to what I really wanted.I finally ordered the building and it arrived on the date that they said it would. The materials all showed up in excellent condition and ready to be installed. We had two minor issues and one more major. The two minor issues were parts that weren't sent so I contacted Jimmy and he referred me to Jeff Miller at Rhino. Jeff did a review of the order and said that it looked like the parts were in fact sent but he nevertheless had the "missing" parts sent to my home arriving the next day. The more major issue was that the three insulated overhead doors that I ordered showed up as uninsulated doors. This was not Rhino's problem as the doors are direct shipped from Raynor. Jeff worked with Raynor and was able to rectify this issue relatively quickly and to my satisfaction.All-in-all, I give Rhino (in particular Jimmy and Jeff) the highest marks I can for what appears to be a very excellent building and, more importantly, the customer service that both Jimmy and Jeff provided. Good customer service is hard to come by these days and when you find it it is worth letting the company and others know that you very much appreciate it.Given my age and the fact we are now at our "forever home", it is highly unlikely that I will ever buy another steel building so Rhino has made a one-time customer happy. That said, how excellent customer service translates into more business for a company is through word of mouth. The building erector (plug for City 2 City and Johnny Camacho in the Houston metro) was impressed enough with the materials and the customer support that I received that he contacted Rhino to have them bid on a building. Not certain if he ended up purchasing from them but I'm sure they will be in his "Rolodex" for future consideration.All-in-all, not certain how it could have been a better transaction so Rhino is tops in my book.

Great service, almost perfect experience.
We had one little snag with the color of some roof sheeting but they took care of it and the customer service was excellent. The building showed up ahead of schedule and we haven't erected it yet but it looks to be great quality. I would buy again.
Michael Holderegger
Rhino is serious about customer service and produces good products as well.
Rhino has been up front and honest with us since our first contact. They were quick to respond to all correspondence and happy to design our building according to our specifications. They followed up quickly and even after the building was paid for and delivered they continued to check up until and throughout the erection process. Their materials are good quality and seemed to come together as they should. To top everything off their price was also very competitive. We are pleased with Rhino and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy steel.

Good building, but room for improvement
I purchased a 40x60 building and am happy with the building itself. The process of ordering to delivery was fine. I initially used a builder from a Rhino supplied list to construct the building. He said it would take 2-3 weeks….he started in Mid-September and I fired him the week of Thanksgiving because he still wasn't done. In addition, the quality of the work was very substandard. Not directly tied to Rhino, but if they want a "5" rating then they should be more involved in the entire process….after all, they did supply the builder's name. Another thing in my opinion is Rhino is to rigid in their work with customers. I would like to purchase additional material to create a covered patio attached to the building as well as a stand alone cover patio for a picnic table to sit under, but the rigidity of Rhino does not allow this. Again, this is what is preventing them from getting a "5". I am following the description above and giving Rhino a rating of "3" because it was an acceptable experience.
