Unable to disarm system and no customer support
I transferred my ADT system to Safe Home. I have had a problem for over a week getting my system to work. I have contacted my salesman who said call him if I had any problems. I have contacted him multiple times saying they will get back to me. Last night I armed my system and then this morning I tried to disarm the system and was not able to for over an hour. I tried to contact them and was told they were not open , but gave me no hours of operation. Finally got told they were in Utah and would not open for another 2 hours. Customer service was not able to help me. if they don't fix it today and am going to request my money back. I have 4 panels in my house for a cost of $1800 with their special.

Do not get involved with this company
I strongly recommend that no one get involved with Safe Home Security or their affiliate Safeguard America. What started as a simple request to move my home security service turned into a nightmare of misleading contracts, a system that never worked, and being billed for a house I no longer own.I ended up with overlapping agreements, no working system at my new home, continued billing for my old one, and additional charges of around $400 for equipment and services that never functioned. The equipment that was installed never worked properly. I had no real monitoring, no app access, and no ability to use the system the way a security system is supposed to work. When I tried to get help, the representative repeatedly interrupted me while I was explaining the problem and said, “I don’t care what you’re telling me — you are not getting out of the contract under any circumstances.” When I asked to speak with a manager, the call was disconnected. No one attempted to fix the system or resolve the issue.Even after disputing everything in writing, the company continued sending invoices and threatening collection. Their responses have been inconsistent and unprofessional. This company appears to operate in a way that traps customers in contracts rather than providing real security. There are many alarm companies out there — I strongly recommend choosing someone else.

Poor Service
I called for assistance when my smoke alarm went off. I have been trying to get assistance without success. It appears when the system dysfunction no one you speak with can be of assistance to discontinue the beeping of the system or tell you what to do. What is more frustrating is you must wait at least a month before a tech can come to your resident to service your system. I have been with the company for several years, but considering going to another alarm company. FRUSTRATED

Horrible
Horrible! My grandma was their customer and she passed away. I sent them her death certificate and her will showing that I’m her executor and personal representative. They won’t let me cancel her account. Will be turning them in

Customer-Unfriendly and Insensitive Practices
I recently attempted to cancel a service my late husband signed up for in 2022. He passed away nearly 2.5 ago and I have since sold the home associated with the account. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that I would still be responsible for payments until October 2027.I requested a copy of the contract to understand how the company addresses something as significant as the death of the contract holder. The agreement, however, contains no mention of survivorship, death, or any related provisions. Only after I pointed out this omission was I told that I would be required to pay 90% of the remaining contract balance. It’s certainly an interesting approach—one that seems to rely on policies that aren’t actually written anywhere, while offering very little flexibility or compassion. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this service to review their contract thoroughly and be prepared for surprises should any real-life complications arise.

Another failed corporate relationship
Another failed corporate relationship. I am a little curious as to why Customer Complaints go to a different domain than the main company domain of safehomesecurityinc dot com? Complaints go to a dead domain. Does the company outsource their complaint responses? Interesting … in fact, the domain to which complaints are directed is a dead letter box … myshs dot com shows that the domain is a dead domain, parked by Godaddy. Not a good look. I’ll be addressing that in my review of Safe Home on my Trustpilot account.Meanwhile … I returned home from overseas travel to discover my alarm system beginning to fail on a number of sensors. When I called today to speak with their service department, Analisa (I believe was her name) pretty much told me that I would be forced into a higher monthly renewal if I wanted to get my failing alarm system repaired in a cost efficient manner. I asked that the call be escalated to a manager. I spoke with Alison, who told me that it would be possible to service the alarm, but the soonest I could have what likely amounts to battery replacements is two weeks at the earliest. The failing alarm system is generating disruptive chipping sounds every three minutes, so her solution is for me to essentially leave these failing penetration points vulnerable by silencing them for the next couple of weeks, leaving my home vulnerable to victimization. Apparently, Alison missed the YouTube class on the whole point of having a security system. It is always interesting to me how companies are always ready to jump readily into new business … since after contacting three competitors, I could have an entire system installed within the next two days. But servicing and maintaining a relationship with existing and longstanding customers seems not to be of interest to a company such as Safe Home Security.I have done web searches and apparently the company is headed by a gentleman named Dave Roman. I have sent emails to likely emails for him, although his AOL email is a dead link.Unfortunately, I can't post the images of the dead letter links and the failed domain name, but I have them.I will be searching for a new alarm company. Safe Home Security has failed me.

Avoid the Safe Home Security Scam
Avoid Safe Home Security, Inc. at all costs – this company is a scam.I signed up with them years ago for a system with 5 sensors, including a motion sensor I was explicitly told would not be triggered by my dogs. From day one, it caused nightly false alarms. A technician later confirmed the problem could not be fixed and advised me to cancel, which I did in 2022. I have not armed or used the system since.Despite that, Safe Home has continued charging me monthly. When I called, I was told “it sucks that it happened” and offered either to buy new equipment or lock myself into a new 3-year contract with a “3 months off” deal. Completely unacceptable.I asked for a full refund of charges since cancellation, written confirmation my account was closed, and assurance they would stop billing me. Instead, I opened a BBB case, and their only response was to push more equipment and a new contract. They refused to take ownership of their faulty installation, refused to issue a refund, and hid behind their “we require written cancellation” excuse. This company is a predatory operation. They install equipment that doesn’t work, then trap customers in contracts and continue billing even after cancellation. If you value your money and peace of mind, stay far away from Safe Home Security, Inc.

Would give zero stars if possible
Would give zero stars if possible. This company has been my worst nightmare. I’m tempted to fight them in court. I originally signed up with SHS in 2015. In 2016 I wanted to cancel my service and was told I couldn’t cancel until 2022. I stopped paying and started getting letters threatening to send it to collections. I asked what I needed to do to avoid this (I decided I didn’t want my credit ruined) they said I had to sign a new contract to get in their good graces and they emailed it to me. Now I’m supposedly under contract with them until 2029. They said I re-signed for 60 months! There is no way in h*+# I would have signed a 60 month contract with this horrible company. As I said I have wanted out of my contract since 2016. The contract was signed electronically and I swear they added the time after I signed it. Do not sign a contract with this company. Run!

$180 for a replacement neck pendant.
My 87 year old mother with dementia lost her neck pendant. I called the company to get a replacement and was told it would be $180. With my mother's dementia slowly progressing, I'm sure she will lose this pendant over and over again. I have no doubt that this pendant is a $2 piece of plastic with a transmitter in it from china. The fact that they are charging $180 to a senior with dementia is absolutely criminal. Beware.

You better watch your billing close!!
You better watch your billing close!!! My paper copy says due 18th but online May 31st! Couldnt figure out why I’m late each month. Talked to rep who sounded totally exhausted from struggling to understand it enough to explain. He said it’s stupid and causes people to be late which affects credit scores! I was also slimed into another contract when I called to cancel 2 months before end of contract. If you have them cancel when you can. If you’ve been solicited by sales hang up on them. My bill has Ben twice as much as they said it would be. Now bc of how they bill, I’m paying for 2 months each month!

Worst company ever
Worst company ever. When I first signed up, they promised me a free camera and free credit card worth $200 and I was not given either plus alarm system haven't worked since they put it up since 2021. Told them to cancel and they won't but keep charging me. I contacted the BBB about them.

No don't!
Please don't go here it's awful I had a completely different alarm system company name on my alarm panel called core home security with a completely different phone number but contracted to safehome. Wouldn't send me a copy of agreement heck I don't even know who I was paying actually, Because it was debited out just said alarm company , but now I'm being sent to collections when a lawyer told me not to pay them Crazy ..stay away!!! When I canceled they sent me a resign up form even before they told me I owed money? Six months later? Why wait six months to tell me that with &10 late fees? Why did I not get a copy of my application and signature When requested? It's all weird and scammy.

HORRIBLE
STAY AWAY FROM THESE CRIMINALS. This place is filled with degenerates. Ever since I began working for this company, long term employees were quitting due to incompetent management and along the years I understood why. The managers and most service workers alike have either a disgusting criminal background, heavy history/current problems with drugs or some kind of mental disorder which is why this place is facing lawsuits like no other. The low iq managers that are rotting with this company can’t get a job anywhere else, unsurprisingly, given their lowlife backgrounds which is why the place has been going downhill and are extremely pretentious when anybody with a pair of eyes can see right through them and their scumbag business practices, a total facade. The owner does not mind hiring such bottom feeders as this allows minimum and very low wage payouts as well as little to no investment, their so called corporate office is extremely poor and dirty. There is close to no future left for this filthy company, as the state of Massachusetts is cracking the whip on them, feel free to lookup the reputation for these peasants online. Turnover rate is extremely high and incompetent bums with crackhead teeth, sweatpants, socks and sandals reign over this joke of a company with the few brain cells they have left. A company is only as good as their staff so beware of dealing with these inept fools as an potential employee or customer.

TERRIBLE COMPANY, DO NOT USE THEM, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Tried to cancel my contract since January 2024, because the sytem does not work, has only worked sporadically the entire 2023. Have advised them to cancel contract over and over, still sending me bills for a service that is not functional.

Salesman, safe home direct and safe home security are a scam from day one
From the beginning, the sales person, who works for Momentum Sales, but sells Safe Home Security lied to me and my wife. He promised to contact my old alarm company and cancel our contract, as well as pay the buyout, as well as reimburse me for any monthly payments I made to the old alarm company. After one year of constant trying, I was able to get a partial payment for the buyout after i contacted the old alarm company myself and cancel the service. I had to pay the entire buyout amount. Salesman (Steve) told me that Safe Home Security would pay me for the buyout. But the money actually came from the Salesman’s account. The salesman did that so I would continue to pay the old alarm company so that the amount for the buyout would be less. A scam from day one. Do not trust the salesman for Safe Home Security. Safe Home Direct, a branch of SHS in Utah has done nothing to help me deal with this salesman. They want a detailed written letter showing what happened. I am sure nothing will happen. I will have to send the salesman to collections. I experienced very bad customer service from day one. The technician that came to my house to install and repair was a decent person. He told me that I need to be persistent or the salesman, safe home direct and safe home security will just ignore me.

Technician wait is too long
I was happy with my system and security company till last year but they have gone down the hill so much that to get a service visit of a technician we have to wais for months. After my system gave low batteries signal, I asked for to ship the battery since technician was not available for almost one month. Our system is also screaming in the middle of the night for no reason as if intruder has broke in the house, so requested the technician to visit. Today, after 10-13 days after my call, I found out the battery order was never placed and the technician visit was also not set. And now I am stuck with them for one more year because of the contract. I would recommend to go with more famous company who can come to your house when it’s needed and not have to wait for few weeks

Signed up with them
Signed up with them, was given a discount, told to call after the 6 months and we will give you another six months discount. 6 months over and now I am the one who is making it up and have to jump thru hoops. Just going to stop payment. Do not sign up. Sad that companies use these methods to increase their profits.

This is the single worst company on…
This is the single worst company on planet earth. I have been trying to cancel for months and finally needed to cancel the credit card because no-one will talk to you about cancellation. The product doesn't work and they still charge you every month. promising a service tech and no-one comes. insanity.
