Dreadful Experience
Dreadful Experience! Bought an Eco-Sistems Splash 25 from Sailfish in 2015. Since then (eight years!) it has worked for a total of two hours and produced maybe under 100 litres. Not only a poor piece of kit but their customer service is dreadful.The first time it failed was maybe my fault as I operated it in silty water (but there was no guidance in the manual which said what operating conditions were). Not knowing what the problem was, I sent it back to Sailfish who agreed to fix it under warranty. That was a fail.Initially, they were so helpful with the calls and talking me through some attempts to get it working. But once I returned it things got very worrying. Despite being asked to, they did not acknowledge receipt of the watermaker. I had to chase an acknowledgement. Thereafter promised contacts and activities did not happen and I had to chase and rechase a number of times. The timeline extended out to in excess of a month. I could not understand why promised reports of what had been done were not sent to me on the day promised, why I had to keep chasing and I thought something must be wrong. When I indicated I was losing confidence, there was no change in the pattern. So I wondered if I was the victim of some blunder or something worse. Then they said they sent the watermaker to Spain. Despite being asked three times, they never provided me the tracking information. I therefore did not have confidence as to where it was. I got emails from an eco-sistems email address but the pattern was just the same - promises of a report on such and such a day and then nothing....... over and over again. I had to chase, got another promise and then nothing. I would struggle to have anything positive to say about my experience with my watermaker. Eventually I got it back, but it never worked properly.Two years later (2021) finally need it to work and start it up. Brilliant! Get 70 litres before the pre-filters clog up. Yet again the sea is too silty! Not as bad as before but it seems that any particles in the sea are no good. So I give up for the time being. Later I clean the filters and she starts up OK..... only now I don't need it. The following year, I try again and nothing - no fresh water comes out. I contact Eco-Sistems, we do pressure tests, flow tests and I send videos. All they can do is suggest I send it back.So they have had it for over two months now. They can't say what was wrong but have serviced it..... telling me it needs servicing every couple of years or so! I am aghast! How do I get it serviced in the UK?? Do I have to send it back every time?Stay away from Eco-Sistems and be prepared for poor customer service from Sailfish.

ordered some in stock items on 15th…
ordered some in stock items on 15th april - paid for courier 8th may still waiting for delivery - twice had to phone - promised to be shipped immediately - lots of apologies but only shipped it today - will see if it arrives
