Another fabulous tour with Salmon Berry Tours. Yesterday we hiked Mantanuska Glacier with Josh and Kit. It was a small group so it was fun and personal. Both Josh and Kit have so much knowledge and experience they took any hesitation I had about walking on ice, away. I hiked the Mantanuska Glacier this March with the Salmon Berry tour group. The hike was fun and adding a bit ice tunnel sliding made me feel like a kid again.The leaders were knowledable, friendly, on time, and helpful. Having the equipment needed such as helmets, snow cleats made the hike easier, although I would have liked to have a pole as well. It was a bit hard to get around without one. At least there was always a helping hand when needed.
Loved my tour with Salmon Berry and would definitely book with them again! I did a Northern Lights tour package with them that also included a dog sledding experience, the Alaska Railroad from Talkeetna to Fairbanks, day trip to the Arctic Circle, Chena Hot Springs, lodging, transportation, some included meals plus aurora hunting opportunities in warm lodges. What a great adventure and all went so smoothly as we transitioned from guides in Anchorage area to Fairbanks. Very well organized and the guides were so knowledgeable of the area and super friendly. The schedule was busy, but not enough to feel rushed as there was free time built in as well.
On our recent trip to Alaska, we were lucky to have two tours with Salmon Berry. One was with Sarah to the Musk Ox farm, and a wonderful dinner. She is a terrific tour guide, and a delight to be around! I would recommend this SB tour to anyone, and suggest they ask for her! The second tour was with John and it was from Seward to Anchorage. Again, wonderful personality, very knowledgeable, and truly an experience we will always remember. Well run company, good, clean equipment, awesome snacks!Without hesitation I would recommend this company!
I just returned to Georgia from a trip to Anchorage & a whale watching cruise booked by Salmonberrytours.com... The women who work at Salmonberry were professional & courteous. Glad to see women owing their own successful business's. the tours were spectacular!! My friend Rachel & I had a wonderful once in a life time experience with Salmonberry tours. Our guide & driver Larry was experienced, informed, friendly & most of all humorous!! What fun we had!!
