Highly recommend Skin Spa New York!

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with the warmest welcome. The estheticians are so pleasant and compassionate. My skin has improved immensely—highly recommend!

I got staph infection from this Skin…

I got staph infection from this Skin Spa. I had go through three rounds of antibiotics to resolve the issue. I contacted Skin Spa about this and I was working with their corporate. They sent me paperwork to refund my facial and dermaplaning packages for me if I release them of all liability and fault. I signed the paperwork, but they never refunded me my money and ghosted me. I have followed up 6-8 times and they will not respond. Terrible company.

Hingham closure - Contact the FTC

Hingham closure left me with unspent money on a package and they have explained I am “in queue” for a refund. Seeing the rest of the reviews with the same issue and encourage everyone to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, FTC - reportfraud.ftc.gov/ - the more people who do this the better the documentation will be. Closing a store with less than 30 days notice and stringing everyone along for refunds on this level is reportable. I have emailed multiple times and keep being told to wait.

Another victim to the Hingham store…

Another victim to the Hingham store closure. I have over 2500 in packages due for a refund. Similar to the other customer reporting my expenses friends are f mom response from the district manager who as I was informed to followed with upon the store closing for my refund.

Stealing from customers

I was an avid customer at the Hingham location and had purchased over $500 in spa packages and then was given a 30 day notice that the location was going be closing. The other locations are too far from my house, so I asked for a refund for the services that I had purchased. I was told that I would receive a refund for those packages. Unfortunately that was 2 1/2 months ago. I have called eight times, left four voicemails. I’ve spoken with three people all of which tell me that they are looking into it and someone will call me back but then no one ever calls me back. I am pissed.

Avoid Horrible customer service

Avoid! They’re horrible disorganized and don’t care about customers They confirmed My appointment and then texted me one hour before to cancel it- After I took off from work and was almost there. No one ever called to apologize or try and make another appointment. They left a phone number and no one answers the phone the phone and there is no voicemail. I was paying full Price for a $750 treatment.I gave them a second chance – which was really foolish of me. Again they confirmed by email and then canceled the day before- with no explanation and no apology and again there is no way for me to contact them. Horrible way to treat a customer. The manager was given message to call me - she hasn’t. All the locations Are owned by the same company - I asked for someone from corporate to call me and they haven’t either. What a horrible way to treat a customer- a complete waste of my time.Update: it gets worse! Manager finally called after seeing negative review - she was rude and didn’t let me talk. Instead of apologizing, her concern was I used 2 different email addresses for the appointments -both legit with my name. Really? How about addressing how they mistreat customers!!! The first appointment they canceled 1 hour before because the tech had Covid. I understand- but they never contacted me to apologize or ask to help with new appointment. The 2nd appointment for May 30 was made weeks ago - 5/28 I received email reminder then 5/29 email saying appointment was canceled (no explanation) and they don’t answer phone. Turns out THEY MADE THE Appointment for A DAY THEY ARE CLOSED and didn’t realize it until last second. Ouch. I asked manger for an appointment for this weekend - she can’t give me new appointment for several weeks but offered me a coupon price - it gets worse- she said I have to give her my credit card info then -or she can’t guarantee the discount if I wait a day to call back- even though they don’t have an appointment.Horrible way for manager to treat a customer. She said the company messed up - their online system shouldn’t have booked for a day they’re closed. Sadly the owner of the company doesn’t seem to care. I have the emails and the text message canceling 5/10 appointment - happy to share them here.

I arrived to my appointment on time

I arrived to my appointment on time. I was not sent a covid questionnaire before my visit. I was told, I had to complete the questionnaire before getting my facial, but I was not told the time I used to complete the questionnaire was being deducted from my appointment. When I was ready for my facial, I was told I only had 20 minutes. The woman that did my facial did not do the power peel. She rubbed some cream on my face missing much areas of my face and wiped it off with tissue. I feel I was robbed. Poor customer service. And so 😡 upset, I did not say anything to anyone and did not leave a tip and just do not want to go back to complete the package deal I purchased.

No Refund Policy is Unacceptable

The only reason I’m giving one star is because Ava has been terrific with my facials, and has improved the condition of my skin over all the time I’ve been going to her.But the shady and deceptive business practices I can’t do. They tell you after the fact that they have a “no refunds policy.” They sure conveniently forget to say that when they are practically arm-wrestling with you to buy treatment packages while you are just trying to pay your tip, get out of there, and get on with your life. This should be the first thing they tell you. But if they do that, they know many folks would not purchase packages on the spot like that. Who wants to throw away hundreds of dollars like that?And what business doesn’t have some sort of refund policy - especially in cases like this when you just bought a package a few days before and never used used any of the sessions? This makes no sense. Anything can happen. It’s pure greed and coercion.It is also not a way to keep your customers. I have been going there for years. But their treatment of me with this guarantees that I won’t be anymore. But on my way out, I intend to get my money back, and have already taken steps to take my complaint to the state. I deal honestly and upfront with people. And I have been a good customer for years. They picked the right one to pull this nonsense with because I am not having it.
