Marriott Malta - don't go in the indoor pool!!!

Marriott Malta.Great hotel, good breakfast but the swimming pool!!!! They allow young babies to wear napies in the indoor pool!!! So as you swim up and down you have a risk of contracting disease from possible faeces in the childs nappy!!Totally ridiculous and that was a black mark.

Not impressed with hotel manager JIM COOk

Not impressed as the hotel manager Jim Cook just sends generic replies to problems with no real action taken.I booked a room with a sea view included breakfast for 12 nights, paid as a package through Trailfinders uk.On arrival we were forced to pay an upgrade fee of $40 per night for the view .if that was not bad enough we were billed through our UK bank account £77pending per day which was deducted from my holiday money leaving us very short on expenses for the breakfast and upgrade which was included in our package. We did complain saying we were paying twice for the same facilities and told the hotel system was complicated. We would be refunded 5 days after checkout 5th Nov.. we are still waiting for refunded monies for part of the bill ???The normal response from the Shereton hotel group is to ignore these reviews and do nothing ..I would advise anyone to steer clear of this disgraceful hotel chain .

Marriot Northampton and Milton Keynes

We stayed in Marriot Northampton. The room was nice, but about 3am what sounded like the main air conditioning unit for the hotel switched on. This woke us up ahead of a long day ahead. The noise didn’t stop until 9.30 am. No offer of any reduction in the room rate. The following night we stayed at the Delta Marriot hotel at Milton Keynes. Booked a classic queen room, but it was a king size bed that was so firm it was like sleeping on the floor. Did get any sleep. Wouldn’t recommend staying at a Marriot hotel !!

SLS Hotel no response from letter sent to GM at hotel.,

SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly HillsMr. Christophe ThomasGeneral Manager with the SLS HotelSLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills465 S La Cienega BlvdLos Angeles, CA 90048after checking in and during the look see tour of your fabulous hotel (love the decorating) we went to the roof top pool deck. We were walking around and checking it all out for our time we would spend there the next day. As I was walking back to the entrance to the hotel and elevator, I fell and injured myself. There is a deck long step that I did not see (completely not visible to me and as I found out not to many people staying at the hotel). A gentleman rushed up to me to help me up and to see if I was alright. He was very kind and helpful. He asked if I needed help and was I injured. Since I was with my family and we had a day full of activities, I was able to limp and check my injuries. At first, I seemed OK to walk but as time went by I was in terrible pain in my left knee and elbow. My elbow was bleeding. The only reason I did not break my nose was my Granddaughter’s leg kept my face plant from happening. My nose felt like I had gotten hit on the top of my nose. No bleeding on my face (thanks to Lina) but my knee and elbow were bleeding and the skin was scraped raw and bleeding. We went down to the lobby and asked the lady at the concierge desk where we could have a refreshment. I also asked her for a bandage for my elbow and knee. She was very helpful and came to our couch with 2 bandages. During our stay the next day Sunday, at the hotel roof top pool, more than a couple of guests fell or almost fell due to this “invisible step down”. Even the waitstaff were talking about how bad that step is and how many people fall.

Will avoid now.

This is just another run of the mill hotel chain and my past experiences have been alright. However I now actively avoid Marriott hotels because of their affiliation with the Glazers.

My complaint:

My complaint:Arrived on Saturday, had RESERVED a KING SIZE bed was told none were AVAILABLE??? was then told told we offered a double? I told the girl I would not fit in a double, she lauhghed and said she meant a double Queen, I sss as I’d ok, she then said she needed first to check the room as it STINK pretty. Ad the day before? She left then came back and said the room isn’t really that bad. We went with her to take a look, the room smelled like cat pee, she then told me how pets are not allowed??she said she could deodorize it some more, we were tired, upset etc figured we could possibly tolerate? Then I needed to use the toilet, well it still contained the crap contents of possibly the last tenant? Then noticed the shower head was broken and a towel wrapped around the connection so it didn’t spray all over? A wall light continued to flicker all night on the wall as well. The TV REMOTE was useless a mirror on the wall looked like it was neglected for months. I asked if a refund would be extended , the hourly stated “ oh come on, I only make $9 an hour” this didn’t concern me she possibly wanted more tattoo monies, lol. Not sure she was the best representative, I asked to speak to management was told no one available next day same response. I was formerly a charter bus driver and had never Had this experience ROOM 117 in Muncie Indiana. WHATS YOUR RESPONSE TO THUS NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE

Worst Experience! Avoid!

Poor experience, due to a mix of flight cancellations/covid we had to cancel our plans, we tried to get a refund from Marriott notified them with at least 48 hours notice but refused to cancel the booking and give a refund. This leaves a bad taste where you expect some goodwill from such company. Let’s just say I would avoid this company and refuse to give them any of my money in the future. They should hang their head in shame!! Truly bad experience. It’s clear this company doesn’t care about any kind of reputation, just look at how many 1 start reviews are on Trustpilot for them.

What a disgraceful company.

What a disgraceful company to treat customers with such contempt. I have have used Marriott for the last 20 years to then be slapped in the face. I have owned three Vacation club weeks for many years, and due to financial constraint’s i have had to give them back to Marriott free of charge two of those weeks. Since then my wife and me have been blocked from all services. Due you think this is fair considering Marriott are getting back about £30,000 of weeks that they can sell on again. Beware future customers.

I am a Marriot Bonvoy Titanium Elite…

I am a Marriot Bonvoy Titanium Elite customer; I am also a Marriott Vacation Club Presidential owner. We came to Orlando as this was the only choice available and are staying at the MVCI Royal Palms in an excellent villa with superb service. We wished to eat at the Marriott World Centre restaurant Mikado, but after a fruitless 90 mins trying to book a table, we had to get on the shuttle bus and go to the restaurant. When we got there we were told that there was no availability, and when we asked why we could not contact them by phone, I was flabergasted by the reply !!! Not even a sorry!! " we are too busy so we don't bother to answer the phone! What kind of business are Marriott running here when a low level employee cannot be bothered to answer a telephone and has the utter gall to say just that !!!We had to waste 90 mins and a load of hassle just to find out that there was no availability. We did try to use an internet booking site and to contact World Centre telephony centre, but our local concierge said that was a waste of time as they take at least 30 mins to answer! Is this really the kind of service Marriott are offerring in Orlando ?As an aside, my wife tested the Marriott telephony service for at least an hour and ended up speaking to someone in Nebraska - nice one Marriott!

Sheraton La Caleta Tenerife

Very nice hotel, (2nd visit), very friendly people and excellent service, just a couple of criticisms, there was no pool service and a bad shortage of sun bed parasols this was not good the hotel was busy and the weather was very hot. I reported the first day our shower hose was split this was never repaired. We stayed for 9 days.Paid premium for a premium Seaview room, we got the Seaview but the room was at the back of the hotel over looking the water treatment works, the balcony was much smaller than the hotel photos lead you to believe.

Moxey Hotels 2 Star review

Due to flight times we were early trying to book into the hotel, as the rooms were unavailable we had to wait. understandable, so we decided to get something to eat and drink from the bar. Not a great menu but ordered something and went to find a table, everywhere we looked there were food trays with uneaten food on them, obviously not cleared away because of a severe lack of staff. the floor was plain concrete, not tiled or carpeted, which gave the impression of a spit and sawdust type of venue. Our-room was passable, but a distinct lack of wardrobe space and hangers would have been a complete turn off for anyone staying longer than a couple of nights. Finally the toilet paper was very hard and thin, and two tea bags supplied with two sachets of milk. No-good to anyone wanting to relax and have a couple of cups of tea. Adding to that, there was no drinks fridge either. Not a Hotel for a long term stay.

Careful when you check in

Careful when you check in - they have odd processes where they will say your bill is taken care of but stop you when you try to check out.

Do NOT book at Marriott Puerto Vallarta

Do NOT book at Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa. Worst experience, service and deception ever at any resort we have ever been to. When we checked into the resort for our week long vacation, the king bed ocean room view room we had paid extra for was completely full & booked with other guests and so they gave us a pool side room with 2 double beds vs the king bed ocean view room. Eventually they got us our king bed ocean room after nights of us sleeping on separate beds. The check in staff also deceived us and told us we'd have a $50.00 per day resort credit to use for the inconvenience, which we verified with another staff member, but upon check out they said we were lying and making that up so we ended up having to pay that additional $300.00 plus whatever else we spend. I asked for a supervisor and was told nobody was going to help us. Horrible service and deception. Take my advise and stay someplace else.
