I also would rate Wisbech Appliance…

I also would rate Wisbech Appliance care ..zero.The engineer lives in my village, only half a mile away. As soon as he arrived, he wanted to use my toilet. I made him a coffee, which he left as he wasn’t long enough in my house to drink it. He didn’t pull out my tumble drier. He spun the drum and said my motor was dead. I can still make it work! He said my house had a smell! I was cooking! He looked up the price of a new motor and his time and I could buy a new one for that price. He then charged me £75 and said I was paying for his expertise! I complained as I was never told there was a call out fee. He dropped £55! What a rip off. Not a village experience and left me fuming and the toilet seat up !

I just found out this company took advantage of my 87 year old parents, charging them the full cost of repair for mending a machine that just needed a button pressing . Do not use this company. Appalling ethics.

The engineer came out on behalf of Domestic and General. He was told that the drum had gone on the washing machine by Domestic and General. He said the drum has gone. Wow really you don't say? Said he doesn't carry the part but was told 3 days ago the model number which he said that he didn't know Interesting they have 1 star rating..........

Utter useless

Utter useless! This company contacted me on behalf Domestic & General who I made a claim through. I made a simple request to save on an engineer callout. My freezer draw had broken and it consisted of two parts. So when this company called me I explained in detail what I wanted and the two components had to be put together. Once they had the serial number of my fridge freezer, that they should have had in the first place they proceded with the order. I was told the part could take up to 21 days to arrive. I was fine with that. Then within a 48hrs time frame I received a notification from a courier they had my Dolphin Appliance Care parcel and it safely arrived. "Yippee" I opened it and found two separate components :( The draw itself was broken. There was a nasty chip on the front right side corner. It looked like it had been dropped because there were brown marks long the top ridge and I noticed there was no broken plastic inside the box. I can only presume the broken bit missing is laying on the warehouse floor somewhere. 'But why would someone pack a damaged component? Anyway I called Dolphin Appliances Care and expressed my concerns. They replied they just ordered the parts and they weren't aware they wouldn't be assembled together. Basically all they did was ordered it as useual using a keyboard. There was no human contacted with the logistic hub. Had they used a phone they would have realised this logistic hub where they ordered the two components from was just a warehouse who are contracted to provide a service to pick parts from a location point. Their staff have no idea what they are picking they just plonk it in a box regardless of condition. If there was a dozen eggs in that location point they would have plonked them in the box no question asked. So I thought how can I make it easier for Dolphin Appliances Care to deliver my freezer draw as a whole piece without calling out a engineer who is much needed on the field sorting out an emergency electrical breakdown. So I suggest they reordered these two components and have them delivered to them and have someone in their technical department to check them over and assemble the two components and send them on to me. Apparently they did this because within 48hrs I received a notification from DX couriers messaging me they had a parcel from Dolphin Appliances Care. On the day of the delivery the courier buzzed my flat intercom. I allowed him in and told him top floor flat as I do with all the couriers. He refused to bring my parcel up two flight of stairs. So off he went with my freezer draw. So I called Dolphin Appliances Care and told them what had just happened. To be honest they weren't interested because they took the stance it was between me and the courier service they booked. I knew this was going to lead to nowhere and greatly inconvenience me. So I complained to Domestic & General, and they agreed it was not my fault the courier had not delivered the second replacement to my front door, and it was wrong for Dolphin Appliance Care to leave it with me to rearrange another delivery date knowing it will probably be with the same delivery firm. Before I contacted D&G, I attempted one more time for Dolphin Appliance Care to use an alternative courier once the parcel arrived back to them. She was not interested in doing so. I mentioned her, because she was the one who handled both consignments. I was so angry with her negative stance. But she duly noted how horrible I was to her. After my call with D&G who are now handling my internal complaint against their supplier Dolphin Appliances Care Ltd. I thought I'd check the reviews against DX courier. Blimey they have more 1 star reviews than any other star rating against them for poor service and one of them "1 Stars" are mine. Obviously Dolphin Appliances Care Ltd didn't check them out either!!! I also found out through my enquiry to D&G Dolphin Appliances Care Ltd have invoiced them twice for the same parts and the services they provided. That can't be right I said. They should be only invoicing for the one incompetence not twice the bubble. No wonder our premiums keep going up. I should be given compensation for the inconvenience caused to me :( I will no let this go until I do receive sum inconvenience redress. I waited in all day for that second delivery!!!

Unreliable and ineffective!

Dolphin Appliance Care failed to fix my washing machine after a rushed visit where the engineer claimed it was repaired but left it broken. They’ve repeatedly pushed back follow-up appointments, leaving me without a washing machine for weeks. I’ve had to rely on neighbours and laundrettes, wasting time and money. Completely unprofessional—avoid this company.

Had a call saying policy up for renewal. Said I wasn't at home, would check and would ring back. Told me amount would go up if I didn't renew then. Was very busy and for some reason I agreed to what I thought was the renewal of an existing contract. It wasn't. I had no contract with them.

Just had a scam call from them claiming my appliance insurance was expiring, on telling the caller we didn't insure with them and I would like to speak to the manager they try and twist your words to take out a policy. They then hung up. Clearly using false positive reviews as well. Avoid.

Same awful engineer that does nothing!

Not sure of the name of the engineer as he never gave it but he was absolutely awful! This is the second time this particular engineer has been to us for a repair, this time for a different appliance and he does absolutely nothing but give senseless advise. Not sure he’s even qualified to be doing this job? He shifted our American fridge freezer forward that hadn’t been freezing well at all for a while and stopped altogether suddenly. He then asked me to remove some contents and see if it works… did all of that and 24h later not a slight change! Surprise! Last time he was meant to fix a broken dishwasher and he left us with a broken appliance too and then lied and claimed he drained it…. He collects payment for just showing up, looking at an appliance and then leaving! Scam

They are liars and scammers

They are liars and scammers, who pretend you have cover with them and are trying to get information. Whatever happened to TPS? these calls are totally illegal and this lot should be closed down. Don't touch them with the proverbial bargepole.

The worst service I have ever…

The worst service I have ever experienced. I purchased a Beko cooker from Currys which has not worked from day one. I contacted Currys who advised I needed to contact Beko. I then contacted Beko who arranged Dolphin engineers to attend my property. After an extensive conversation advising I live in a town centre and have parking restrictions and the engineer ‘Simon’ advising this is not a problem. Simon arrived on the 28/12/22 and refused to park due to restrictions. I then needed to almost beg him to stay and I paid for the parking. He then came into my property and needed to call another engineer to ask how to set the time (clearly not knowing the cooker he was supposed to fix)He did not fix and left (he did not want to be here and had no intention of fixing)Absolutely disgusting customer service.Admin staff member Claire refused to give me the managers name.DO NOT USE

Appliance Care UK called me last night…

Appliance Care UK called me last night saying they were handling expired maintenance agreements from Domestic & General. On this occasion, I was taken in by the fact that they were calling from a UK call centre about maintenance on my washing machine, the guy dealing with me seemed to know about my previous agreement with D&G and even offered me the service agreement for £8.90 which is cheaper than the £11.something I was apparently originally paying. It was only after the call and my handing over my bank details that I thought this sounds fishy. I checked my earlier bank statements and for my D&G agreement I was only paying just over £5.00 and that the man I spoke to was great at blagging and "social engineering" and came across as being knowledgeable about my previous agreement. In hindsight, nothing he actually said showed knowledge of the agreement and it was just a cold call with my phone number and name that could have come from anywhere. So, armed for a fight this morning, I called them back on the number provided by the woman who took my final consent and I told her "I wish to exercise my rights under the 14-day cooling-off period and cancel the agreement before anything is set up".The woman I spoke with this morning to do that was actually very nice about me cancelling after asking for my postcode and confirming my name and cancelled it without any argument.I will of course monitor my online banking to see if any Direct Debit is set up and will immediately cancel anything that does appear. (I believe DDs have to be set up several days before a first collection is taken.)Conclusion: This is a cold-calling company who will try to charge you over the odds for a service you could get from D&G. (Personally, I normally follow YouTube videos and fix my own white-goods where I can, but just got drawn into this one because the washing machine is somewhat more complex than the tumble dryer!) However, if you realise you have been stung, call them quickly (during their office hours 10am - 5pm week days), and it seems you can easily get the agreement cancelled if you are assertive and don't faff around. The phone number I called to cancel was: 0208 191 1358

Do not use this company keep looking they are terrible

This company is the worst I have ever come across. We have paid them £222 and they have cancelled 6 appointments over 2 months and failed to turn up to the 7th. They refuse to refund despite two months of not fixing a new hinge to a fridge door. Despite me telling them its for an 80 year old lady, my mother. I wish I had found these reviews. Do not use them

Don't use this company

Don't use this company! Just before Christmas 2020, my integrated microwave stopped working, I use it a lot at Christmas, so I arranged with Appliance Care Uk, for an engineer to visit. I was told I would receive a message on the day with a time slot. I didn't, so I called the centre, no-one picked up, so I messaged them. I then received a time slot. However, as the end of the time slot grew nearer I called to check if the engineer was still coming and was told the engineer had just called in sick. Another appointment was arranged the following day and exactly the same thing happened!! This was the day before Christmas Eve! AND then I received a call from their head office saying that they understood I wanted to cancel the appointment???? They charge £50+ for cancelled appointments. A money making scheme??
