Far better than grocery store meat

Far better than grocery store meat, great sales, and always delivered frozen on time. Highly recommend Butcher Box!

I purchased on discount some of the New…

I purchased on discount some of the New York strip steaks a tri-trip roast and some cube cut meat. The delivery was on December 1, 2025 went into the freezer immediately upon trying the steaks the next weekend I could smell a slight rotten smell I went ahead and cooked the steaks thinking maybe it was just me upon trying to eat it on the back of my tongue you could taste rot again again a week later, tried to make a roast stew using the tri-tip meat had to throw the whole thing out again had a rotten smell hand taste since then I went to Costco purchased the tri-tip roast and cut about 20 steaks out of it. They taste awesome.

Meat was good quality

Meat was good quality. It arrived perfectly. It is a little more expensive then I care to spend right now. I also have a local butcher to source from.

I like being able to order online

I like being able to order online and then stay online to choose recipes for my upcoming meat order. At 72 I don’t enjoy shopping that much, so love it being delivered to my home. The meat selection has lots of choices to choose from.

My 1st order from them and they short…

My 1st order from them and they short me 3 items. When I talked to them 1 said they could ship missing items as long as it was 3 items. Another person said it has to be 4 items. While yet another said I would have to wait for my next shipment. Took my refund and cancel future orders.

Our first box that we received was exciting and all the food is packaged. Perfect.

We love the wide range of items to pick from. Everything came quickly and it was a smooth process. We have enjoyed everything in our box except one item that I husband or I cared for. I contacted the company and they responded almost immediately. I was given a credit on my next box for that one item. Very compassionate and eager to take care of my issue. We already picked out our next box and we are excited to receive it.

Great quality, variety and price!

I received my first Butcher Box and was overall pleased. One package was opened but the situation was rectified immediately. So far I have found all of the meat to be good quality. I love the variety from which to choose. I also think the price is more than fair.

Butcher Box Products and Service…

Butcher Box Products and Service Declining! I’ve been a subscriber for years and recent orders (last 6+ months) have been less than optimal with boneless chicken thighs coming in more like mangled chicken thighs, frozen packaging without the vacuum seal. I referred a friend who experienced similar poor product packaging on their first order. Needless to say he didn’t continue his subscription. And more recently, it appears that they no longer offer filet mignons. Since cancelling, I went to their site see if the issue with the fillet mignons was a glitch and it is / was not. I asked in IG and they ignored the question. Also, what’s with the size of those “organic” chicken breasts. They’re bigger than those hormone “juiced” colleagues in the supermarket? Now try calling customer service…I got a recording that no one was available and told to call back later!?!?

terrible customer service

The nerve of this reply after shipping another box after cancellation!!!!! Do not trust these liars and thieves. I tried to call after they shipped erroneously and was told, basically, they would not refund and would not recall the box so now I have to file a fraud chargeback with my credit card. I had 2 accounts opened, one from years ago. I chatted to try to have the first account deleted and was immediately told that having 2 accounts violated their policies, yeah, no S**T. Delivery issue. Support ignored issue

I had 5 or so boxes deliver over the last year with a few small issues, but the customer service team resolved them and left me satisfied. This last Box got delivered 5 days late due to the box being out for delivery one day then the next day showing it was shipped across the country then sitting there for three days before making it back to my state and being delivered at 9pm. The meat was complete thawed in one of the two boxes I had delivered the other box was still 28F so I was not too worried about that one. I just wanted the one box replaced ($100) worth of meat in that one. I placed the ticket and got an automated email response that they would review it and get back to me within 48 hours. 56 hours later I did not hear from them so I emailed them back and still did not get a response. I canceled 48 hours after not getting a reply to my second email within 48 hours. Product is good overall, just completely dissatisfied with how they handled this issue if you consider ignoring an issue handling it.They finally contacted me about the ticket over a week after it was placed and are sending replacement cuts. Hopefully this delivery goes better. they are using FedEx this time so it should go smoother. Moving the review from a one star to a two star. If everything goes smoothly with the delivery I will raise it to a three star.They used Fedex for the delivery of the replacement box and the box arrived a day early and everything in the box was frozen and I had no issues at that point. I am not sure how much they save by using the 3rd party shipping company but i would be willing to pay extra for FedEx to make sure the box arrives on time. All other deliveries I want the cheapest shipping even if it arrived two weeks later, but when shipping perishable items I want it in two to three days.

I absolutely love BB

I absolutely love BB. Their meat is so good. I prefer buying most of my meat through BB, but occasionally buy from a farmer's butcher shop. The bacon is incredibly tasty. I have never had a bad cut. No old meat. Prices are comparable to a high-end grocery brand.

The company is wonderful!

The company is wonderful!! For me though, there is two drawbacks. First I wish the beef was from American ranchers. Like Wild Pastures. Second the shrimp states on the package it is deveined which I have found not to be accurate. I’m always having to devein most of it and it is not very firm. On a higher note the chicken wings are always very good. The chuck roast even though they are not from our wonderful USA THEY ARE VERY TASTY!!

Steak tips were all pieces small and smaller. The flatiron steak was full of nerves. Two different boxes both had good and bad items. It cost alot and its definitely not worth it. Everything should be great, not hit or miss. I wanted this to work so much. Sadly disappointed.

Very Happy with Butcher Box

I generally have a good experience with Butcherbox. Occasionally though, our meat comes punctured- meaning the packaging has holes in it. We cannot figure out why this happens sometimes and not other times. Other than this, we are very happy with Butcher Box. Excellent customer service and meat.
