I've bought from them a couple of times…
I've bought from them a couple of times a year for 3-4 years, but the last two orders were really problematic- the first was their December auction that I paid for within a few days- took until the middle of February to send (6 weeks). I then bid on their February auction and they still haven't shipped nearly 3 mths after payment as they can't locate one of the books. After the December package arrived (after the close of the February auction) I realised it was missing two books totalling $220 (from an order of 16 books). I didn't realise they were missing immediately and contacted them about a month after the package arrived, but haven't had an answer yet about any solution. I will be making a theft complaint if they haven't worked it out in the next few days. They have another big auction about to close in the next few days but I won't be bidding on it, deplorable service after having bought from them for years. Something appears to be going very wrong with their stock management. Update: The response here by comicconnect wasn't genuine. I was refunded the cost of the 2 lost books, no free shipping offered.

Fantastic company
Fantastic company, I have always been extremely pleased with the books/comics I have purchased and general customer service from Metropolis. I have already recommended them to my fellow fans of the Comic world.

His knowledge of comics is impressive, and he was incredibly patient in answering all my questions. Great office in midtown Manhattan
Great office in midtown Manhattan. You can tell these guys mean business, and most importantly, truly appreciate the hobby based on the art and poster collection proudly displayed and owned by the owners of the company. A museum and a business all in one. If you have questions about art specifically, ask for Micah. He's a super nice guy and can chat with you for hours with no pressure or expectation of doing business. Flexible, competitive rates for consignment of comics, art and other collectibles , and fair when it comes to purchasing, give these guys a jingle.

My experience with Comicconnect was a pure pleasure. The helpful and knowledgeable staff helped me find what I was looking for. I ordered what I wanted and I think I got a very fair price. My order came in on time, without a hitch. If anything, my shipment was overprotected. I’m happy I ordered from these folks and would do so again, without hesitation.

Not sure why the low scores
Not sure why the low scores, but my experience was 5-stars. I got the bronze age X-Men I'd been looking for forever, at the price I wanted and had it in my hands in 5-days, packed up nice and tight.

Best Comic Auction Company in the U.S.
My name is Mark Michaelson, and thanks to the diligence of the professional staff at ComicConnect, I broke another world record with the sale of my “Superman #1”.I have been asked many times why I selected ComicConnect, rather than other auction companies. In my decades of experience collecting comics, I have consistently observed that this organization is without equal. They are a rare group of people with demonstrated integrity, that have a passion for this medium, and the results of their efforts are evident by anyone with knowledge of the comic book industry.Additionally, without exception, every collector I have recommended ComicConnect’s services too, has called to thank me.

CHARGED ME FOR BOOKS THEY NEVER SENT!!
CHARGED ME FOR BOOKS THEY NEVER SENT!!! I've bought dozens of books from Comic connect over the last 2 months. After waiting 6+ weeks for some of the books with no updates and repeated calls, I was told that they were in an offsite storage room and it's inconvenient for them to visit. They still charged me for those missing books, 8.875% Manhattan sales tax, 3% CC fees and shipping, resulting in hundreds of dollars in fees and tax not to mention thousands of dollars in books. It's been a nightmare getting a straight answer on when I'll be fully refunded now that I've shown them their massive accounting error. When I brought this to their attention, they had the gall to asked if I want store credit. The disorganization, miscommunication and follow-up is abysmal. I have 0 trust in ComicComic and they've used up all my patience. Buy at your own risk!

Manage your expectations
I highly recommend bidding at comic connect if you want to win an auction and NOT get the item shipped that you paid for. I won an auction for a couple of items and waited 2 weeks to get it shipped. Nothing happens.I called up after 2 weeks complaining, and was told shipping department was pulling the order to ship.4 days latter, nothing. I call again and I am told, shipping department was pulling the order to ship.I email support 4 days latter and I am told they are unable to find 1 item, I tell them to ship what they have and continue looking for the missing item. They agree to do this.4 days latter, no shipment yet.So like I said above, If you want to win an auction and NOT get your item shipped. This is the auction house to use.

absolutely the lowest of the low in…
absolutely the lowest of the low in almost every aspect of my journey with comic connect. incompetent to a point of intentional negligence. i blame MYSELF , because anyone dealing with this company SHOULD DO SOMETHING MORE CONSTRUCTIVE FOR THEMSELVES, like stepping on your hand... CATEGORICALLY DISGUSTING COMPANY.

Vincent quoted me a value on my comic collection of 30-35k. Only received $21,000.
Vincent quoted me a value on my comic collection as conservatively $30-35k. Last 2 days of the auction I asked him to stop and he said "No" and made a video promoting the comics in the last 24 hours. He has only 800 followers and I had only 17 views (2 by me). At the end of the day sent me a check for 21k. His response was that the market dropped by 15% in 3 months. Apparently Vincent cant do math either. He offered to let me buy my TMNT#1 back for 1k. IMO, if Vincent is an expert, he does not know the market and will tell you anything you want to hear because he receives a commission. I believe you would do better on Ebay. On 8/8/23, Google review states that the office is now closed ????

I'm a bit surprised by some of the bad reviews to be honest, as I've dealt with CC now for several years and almost always had a pleasant experience. I will say that their shipping seems kind of high and their payment acceptance process for crypto is clumsy, but other than that I've been pleased with our dealings.

Don't use this service
Don't use this service. My experience is just like the other reviews here. Had an issue with an order and it took 10 days to respond by email. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY IN THE…
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD when it comes to buying or selling Comics! PUTRID, HORRIBLE, ROTTEN people run and work for this company! This is no exaggeration and I really wish this was not true. Owner (Vincent Zurzolo) is a real a*****e of a human being! Their receptionist is evil!!! She treated me horribly in several phone conversations during a time in which I was recovering from eye surgery. (my retina was detached) I explained my issues to her and she said I was lying???? Lying???? What????? I was blind in my left eye for six weeks! Why would I lie about something like that???? How can you treat your customers like trash? If you wish to buy comics online, there are much better places to do business with. It's such a shame that a great hobby like comic collecting can be run by people like this. A petition should be started to ban them from the internet!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! I tried to buy things 3 times, only to have to call after weeks of not hearing from them to find out that the seller didn’t have the item. They do not communicate with customers and have extremely poor service.

I will Never buy from them again
I will Never buy from them again! I won an item and 2 months later I contacted them for an eta on the item. They never tried to contact or notify me beforehand that the seller decided to sell the item somewhere else. They had me hanging for 2 months thinking my items was on the way. Support is horrible, I sent over 6 emails for an eta and never received a response. They have these strict policies that they don’t abide by. The seller should of never sold the item to someone else. According tot their site, the item should of been received 7 days later after the sale, we had a legal binding agreement. Stay far away from them. I had better experience with eBay.

I contacted this company over a year…
I contacted this company over a year ago , I had decided to sell my comic book collection which I had amassed over 50 years as my daughters were going to university. This is an online auction company and you can consign comics to them for sale. On their website it said that they took a commission of 10% and if payments were by credit card, they took 13% . They also took an extra $5 dollar extra commission on sales under $50 . I explained that I had never sold before and needed advice and assistance as I thought they were a reputable company . I was contacted by one of their assistants who told me it would be no problem , I was to consign the list of comics I wanted to sell initially and they would do the rest . Via email he forwarded an agreement which I signed and returned . I had noticed the commission part had been left blank and naively thought this would be completed by the company . I sent a total of 30 comics , including Uncanny X Men 4 , 94 , 95 , Fantastic Four 48 , 49 , 50 and 52 along with other collectible issues . They were eventually put on sale and I was contented at first with the prices they were selling for less the ' small ' ( quote ) commission . A written accounting was to be forwarded regarding the amount the comics sold for . The person I had been dealing with had left the company and after the sale , when the funds came through to my bank , there was considerably less than I had expected . I had NOT received any written accounting and when I contacted Comic Connect , I received an email stating the commission charge was 25% . I contacted them again and was told by one of the staff that she had pulled the agreement and ' unfortunately ' the commission amount had been left blank therefore they were charging a ´mandatory ´ 25% commission. I questioned this as it never mentioned this amount on their website , I was told that as the comics I had sent were not already graded , they were classed as ´raw ´and the commission was 25 % . If I had been informed the commission was so much , I would NEVER have consigned to this company . I messaged to her that I was very disappointed and I received a reply stating that she was sorry I was disappointed and in terms of the agreement , the way forward was still 25% .I was having no way forward and I lettered the company CEO where I informed him there was nowhere on their website stating the commission for ungraded comics was 25% , he did eventually reply to me via email and said that the normal commission for ungraded comics was indeed 25% as their employees did the grading and if they charged any less they would lose money !!! They had as a ' courtesy ' offered me 20% on the comics that sold for over $500, but the rest were being charged at the 25% rate and he considered that fair . Due to this , I lost a considerable amount of money to this company. I realise now I should have been more aware when I had noticed the commission amount had been left blank however as I said I had never sold before and will be VERY VERY wary if I do so in future . To date I have still not received a full written accounting of the entire sale . Comic Connect is a multi million dollar company and did not need to treat a customer like this . I have terminated the agreement and I will NOT be dealing with them again . Anyone else considering dealing with them , ensure you have the commission amount detailed in writing before you decide to consign .
