Ghosted Me on A Long Overdue Order... Wow.
I placed an order and paid for a reproduction glass radio dial on 4 Feb 22, based upon this seller's representation that such orders would be filled in 7-14 business days... On 1 Mar 22, after inquiring as to why this original projected delivery date was not met, this seller gave me a new 6-8 week time frame for order fulfillment... Since 1 Apr 22, (the eight week point from the date this order was placed) I sent them seven (7) weekly email and website message follow-ups requesting an updated projected delivery date for this order, with no reply whatsoever... I also left voicemails on several occasions, also with no replies... The seller completely ghosted me... While supply chain issues are not uncommon these days, a seller ghosting its customers for long overdue orders, after repeated, multi-channel requests, is not only abhorrently wrong, but exceptionally abusive... It appears this seller has a clear monopolistic market position for many of the vintage radio items it offers, which gives it the ability to abuse said monopolistic power at will... Whether that is the case here remains to be proven, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to conclude there’s seemingly no reasonable justification for such abnormal/bizarre (creepy) behavior. I ultimately filed a complaint with PayPal, and they immediately decided the case in my favor, and provided an immediate refund.
