A lovely charity book box!
This book club donates all of its profits to The Samaritans The Samaritans offer (among many other things) an emergency 24/7 365days a year helpline to individuals experiencing mental health crisis. So I am always happy to receive my box from the Feel Good book club because even if I did not enjoy the book I never regret supporting their cause!The items are always quite nice and only small things eg a couple of tea lights and a snack, a little diary or a tote bag or tea towel. The book is always a paperback book. The story selected is always one that aims to promote a ‘feel good’ feeling and so you never want to rip your own heart out (A Little Life, anyone?) or sleep with the lights on….Overall a great box at less than £17 UK on a rolling subscription that supports a service that proves vital to so many. I did remove a star as I feel that for a box that promotes kindness and feeling good and has such a strong ethical stance they really should only include vegan and cruelty free items and snacks. There isn’t a huge amount in these boxes so when I receive a dairy or non-cruelty free item I have to dispose of these and end up missing out and only really have the book left to enjoy as do other subscribers I know. I feel quite strongly that it would be more inclusive and ethical to stay vegan. Personally I would be happy to pay a little more for this if cost was the problem. Overall a great box though and I would recommend.
