Poor Customer Service Reps.Never know what country your Rep is from as most have strong accents and common statements like "no worries" are often used.No one seems to be able to resolve your issues as ai have called maybe 20X and still left in the dark.My advice is shop around for other Medicare plans as there are many to choose from.I have since left them for obvious reasons and poor out of network coverage.

My father had denture coverage through this insurance. We arrived to the dentist office only to find out that the portal was showing that he does not have coverage. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with three to four different people in the floor of the dentist office only to argue and be told first that he's not covered and then told. Oh yes he is covered. Finally, we get to what I thought was a resolution. However, dentist office can't take a verbal approval or confirmation of his coverage. The insurance representative would not fax a confirmation of coverage or email. They stated that he had to mail authorization and confirmation of coverage. That confirmation was never received by us or the dentist office. It's now a month later. And the dentist office still is showing him not covered in their portal. Worst experience ever. It had cost me hours away from work, my time, my sanity, and now more hours away from work. Plus my personally missed dental appointment because of spending time on the phone. Trying to resolve my dad's. Dad's. Now I have to take twice as much time off. Actually four times as much time off because of their incompetence. They clearly do not employ or train their persons to be knowledgeable or even competent. The slightest bit of competence would be nice.

Horrible! Whatever you do, don't sign up for this stuff. This is just a way for them to get hold of your Medicare money and return and do as little as possible. Nothing is below these people if you're just starting or either way, your best bet is to keep the good old original Medicare and don't get near this. I don't know if the others are this bad, but I have a feeling many of them may be.

Well, I turned 65 last September. I was on the United healthcare G supplemental and then in April of this year I got a notice that were increasing the price 16.4% after doing some research I have a lot of trusted colleagues that experience the same thing the year after you go on it, you get a discount from AARP initially and then AARP gets a commission And the United healthcare is jacked up the rates in addition to all this the latest financial performance is very poor, which tells me that they’re going to continue to jack the rates up going forward. I would not recommend anyone buying the United healthcare Medicare supplemental plan G through ARP because you’re being lied to

AARP UHC: The worst of US Healthcare
I'm shocked AARP would affiliate with such a horrible company. UHC is ONLY out to make exorbitant profits for their leadership, this time at the expense of senior citizens and AARP is complicit. UHC Medigap advertises "Premiums are the same no matter how old you are. Premiums may go up because of inflation and other factors." My AARP UHC Medigap policy has gone up TWICE in the FIRST YEAR and is now 30% more than when I started, just last year. In addition, it took 3 to 4 months of repeated calls to UHC while premiums were being paid for UHC to start the policy. As usual, UHC is the worst of US healthcare, this time with AARPs blessing.

Many years and they Never paid for anything. Do not join this company. I had them for years and so sorry I did and should have changed it to Humana plans. I have been having nothing but trouble getting rid of them and getting my money back. Customer service is very bad. Every I have called them many times and much frustration all the time.

AARP promotes bad insurance co.
AARP is supposed to be a nonprofit corporation to help older people. They relentlessly push The Hartford for car insurance. The Hartford promises you a gift for just checking into them. They turned out to cost a lot more then the company I ended up with, and they never even sent my gift! Jerks. I got mad and switched from AARP UHC and my Medicare supplement is cheaper for the same insurance! And my car insurance with a different company is cheaper than Hartford.

Customer Service Representative not helpful. Couldn't answer questions or help with a simple task I needed. When she realized she couldn't resolve the situation and didn't want to talk to me anymore, she gave me a solution she knew wouldn't work and rushed me off the phone.

Bait and switch and it gets worse from there!
Bait and switch! I wanted to obtain AARP United Healthcare Medigap. The prices I was quoted was 100% higher than the mailed information I received even though I gave them my age beforehand. The plan N was 256.00 to begin with which was 100% higher than Mutual of Omaha, to which I now subscribe. BUT the best is yet to come. After I answered almost one hour of medical questions the agent submitted the application to underwriting. When it was received I magically went into tier 2 at (wait for it) ANOTHER 100% price increase. Now plan N was well over 500.00. I told the agent this was unacceptable. So we initiated a three party call with the underwriting department. I was told that there were medications that my doctor THREE YEARS AGO and in ANOTHER STATE had given me in case I needed them. He was a good doctor and prescribed these meds in case I ever needed them in the future! I told both the agent and the underwriting department that I never needed these drugs and never took them. They both told me to speak to the doctor that I used THREE years ago and from a different state that I used to reside. They wanted to sign me up in tier 2. I, in no uncertain terms told them to pound salt. I them called Mutual of Omaha medigap and was able to with the SAME plan N policy for, (you ready?) 156.00 a month. AARP Medicare is a scam and a bait and switch operation and will try to steal every penny from you they can. There are WAY better options, Cigna being one as well as M of O to investigate. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, RUN AWAY!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Membership deception
My mother, 94.5 years and going into dementia, gets letters from AARP wanting her to pay her dues for membership. She just got a letter stating this is her final chance to renew her membership. I Even got a little concerned about her medical benefits getting cut off. I called them and asked if this membership is only for their bulletin and magazine and not for medical benefits. The rep said yes, it is just for the magazine and bulletin. I said that they have an obligation to tell our old folks that these dues have NOTHING to do with medical benefits. I accused them of supporting a gimmick scaring our elderly into remaining a member to receive literature. You don't have to pay this membership fee in order to receive medical benefits. In our case, the premium for that is taken out of her checking account automatically.

Why does AARP United Healthcare choose Walmart for OTC?
Why does AARP United Healthcare choose Walmart for their Over the Counter supplier? I have ordered twice since January 1, and have not gotten my order. I am going to cancel UHC because of this, even though I have been with them for years, and like them. This is because of their choosing to use Walmart and Healthy Benefits for over the counter orders.

Beware. If you and your spouse have a joint aarp membership and you intend to use an HSA don’t. My wife and I have a joint account with aarp and everything coming from this company is the total for everyone in the household. My HSA cannot deal with a total amount but Dollar costs must be per person. AARPunitedhealthcare says they do this to avoid a two dollar charge and preserve a five percent discount. That’s all well and good but without access to the HSA it’s going to cost us over three thousand per year in unrecoverable premiums year after year. Their website needs a printable ledger of account activity.
