ABC Financial is a disaster. They’re the ones responsible for dues collection at Gold’s Gym, and my recent experience shows exactly why they have nothing but negative reviews.My bi-weekly payment was scheduled to be deducted today—I confirmed it on my credit card statement. Yet when I went to work out this morning, I was told I had a “past due balance.” Really? A payment that isn’t even due yet is suddenly “late”?I offered to cover it with cash, since that’s what I had on me. The staff member at the front desk couldn’t accept cash (not his fault), but he assured me I could still use the club and pay later. Reasonable enough. But then he mentioned ABC would be tacking on a 60% late fee—$23 on top of a $40 payment. For a bill that isn’t late.This is beyond shady. Charging a massive penalty on a payment that, according to my records, is current is nothing short of predatory. It’s the kind of behavior that drives people to leave gyms, not stay loyal.I’ve already reached out to Gold’s Gym management to raise this issue. Based on the mountain of negative reviews, ABC Financial should have been shut down years ago. The fact that they’re still allowed to handle billing is a black eye on the Gold’s brand.

Horrible company. They want me to pay a bill claiming I owe money, even though I requested to cancel my membership with the Anytime Fitness gym.The issue is that the gym manager didn't process my request which is not my problem. So, I sent ABC Financial a copy of the email I sent to the gym manager which shows that I requested the cancelation back on April.ABC Financial replied that they can't honor my cancelation request since they didn't receive a copy of that email which is BS because they told me before that any requests to the gym membership like freeze or cancelation should be requested through the gym not through ABC Financial directly.Anyway, I am not paying a penny for them and I already filed a complaint against both ABC Financials and Anytime Fitness with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and I am still waiting for the resolution.

I WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS THE WORST TO DEAL WITH WHEN UPDATING PAYMENT AND THEY DON'T UPATE YOU IF THERE WAS AN ERROR WITH PAYMENT AND THEN ADD A $20 LATE FEE AND PER THEIR NEW POLICY IN EFFECT AS OF AUG 2024 THEY CAN ONLY WAIVE ONE FEE EVERY 6MONTHS, WHEN I ASKED THE SUPERVISOR JANELLE WHEN THIS WAS IN EFFECT SHE SAID IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN WHICH IT HASN'T SINCE SHE THEN VERIFIED IT WAS PLACED LAST MONTH. THEY DON'T UPDATE OR SEND ANY TYPE OF NOTIFICATIONS IF THERES AN ERROR IN PAYMENT. MIND YOU MY PAYMENT ALWAYS GETS MADE I HAD MY WALLET STOLEN AND HAD TO UPDATE THE CARD

Scam. Not only do you never get a US rep, but they make it seem like you can never cancel the membership. It’s an on-going misinformation between the gym and this company. HORRIBLE.

Thieves. They assured me that my contract was paid in full and that I would not receive further payment, and that my fiancé’s membership would terminate once his current contract was up. Received a charge for 10.63 and 49.99 for this month, and cannot confirm why because I can’t get past ABC’s auto prompt. I’ve marked these charges as unauthorized with my bank and will never use Edge gym or any place that does business through ABC.

****SCAM ALERT**** don’t fall for these scam artists. They lied to me about everything. These people are trained to scam you and prolong your commitments so you have to pay more and pay longer. They are scumbag liars. They waste your time on the phone just to tell you to email them the same thing you’re calling for. Then the email won’t be answered for a week or more. Now it will extend out your attempt to cancel your memberships to where you will end up paying more months. This company is garbage and has garbage employees on the phones. The reviews all say the same thing. This company is a scam artist company. ABC financial you are crooked and have zero ethics.

What a joke! Not sure how many more ways I could possibly cancel a membership. I have called, emailed, sent certified letters and still they are charging me for services I have cancelled several times! I will never ever join another Gym that uses ABC as their billing partner. This is beyond ridiculous and to top it off their CS agents are very unprofessional, and rude.

I was a member of Anytime Fitness, I moved out of state and tried to cancel my membership at the end of it's term. I was able to give written notification and spoke with the gym and ABC Financial. The following day I recieved notification that my membership would be cancelled, but they were still going to charge me for another month because they needed 30 days instead of the 27 days I gave them. I cannot believe that there is no way an exception could be made. This company obviously feels that taking an extra $40 is more important than having a satisfied customer.

I made a contract with this company for a gym I was attending and had sent an email to have it canceled in November and was not charged for that month, thinking everything was ok I went on with my life and took a vacation to then find out that they made 3 different transactions on me the next month of December and still never cancelled it and finally cancelled it in January after saying that they supposedly never got my email from November or my other ones in January except one even though i sent them a picture showing that I did indeed send them one in November. I checked to make sure that I did send more then one in January and I rechecked it many times to make sure that I indeed did send it to the right email yet they said that they supposedly only got one of my emails which shows that their servers don't work or that they possibly have a bot that deletes some emails containing cancellation words and the only true reason they answered was because I ended up calling after finally being helped by a kind employee at the gym. I would never recommend this business to anyone due to the fact that they stand by their negative reviews across all the internet which I should have looked into before making this decision which makes it my fault for trusting that they were a company that you can trust making payments to every month and that when the time came that they would respect your wishes to leave after the agreement was over.

Avoid this company at all (hidden) costs
This second party dealer handled the payments for my gym (Sweat fitness) and screwed up multiple times in the processing of my termination. First, I was never told that cancellation required a 60 day notice to ABC financial (I had only notified my gym itself). Second, the trainer at my gym (whose name I will leave out of here for privacy) never registered my termination with ABC financial. Lastly, when I called ABC financial to straighten things out, they informed me that they would't back date my cancellation fee so in the end I had to pay four additional months for a gym membership in the US while I was starting a faculty position in Copenhagen. Way to go ABC financial...
