I’ve been such a procrastinator putting this business off when all they had to do was call alleviate TAX! I spoke with Jeff Erickson, who took time to explain the process to me and is very informative as to what I need to do to alleviate this tax problem of mine! Thank you so much. I don’t know where I would’ve turned.

A tale that will echo through the ages! …Or, you know, a review of Alleviate Tax.The short version: if you get Rafid as your case manager at Alleviate Tax, you are in good hands. Rafid is calm, patient, responsive, and communicates in a way that does not increase your stress level — which is a rare and wonderful gift when you’re dealing with issues related to the IRS. He keeps phone calls short (he quickly picked up on the fact that I do not enjoy talking on the phone), follows up in writing so everything is clear, and somehow manages to interpret the typo-filled messages I send from my phone that make me look like I’ve never attended school. Before working with him, seeing Alleviate’s number pop up on my phone made my anxiety spike. With Rafid, that did not happen. He gets all the stars.Our experience before being assigned to Rafid was more mixed, and really came down to differences in communication styles during an already stressful time.“Tom” (not his real name) was clearly hardworking and highly energetic. He was enthusiastic, extroverted, and reminds me of a used car salesman who has had three espressos. I am… not that. I require calm.For two very overwhelmed and very introverted clients, the long, unscheduled phone calls were difficult for us to manage while traveling and dealing with family obligations. As the process went on and expectations were clarified, the calls became shorter and much easier to handle. I do believe he genuinely wants to help clients succeed — his style is just more high-energy than what worked best for us.Tom is not a bad person — truly. The call from “Bob” (also not his real name) was the only interaction that felt uncomfortable in the moment. A long call that focused heavily on worst-case scenarios and the possibility of additional fees was stressful for us given our financial situation. To his credit, once we explained that we simply could not take on any additional cost, he respected that and did not continue to push, but for one hour he tried to scare us, saying the IRS would send revenue officers to our house who would pretend to be our friends but were not, bother our friends, family and neighbors, take our passports, take our house...yikes. I want to emphasize that everyone we spoke with was professional — this was more about how different communication approaches land when clients are already under significant financial and emotional strain.The service itself is expensive for people who are calling because they are already in hardship. The $20,000 fee was a major sacrifice for us, and we had to take out a loan to pay for it. We ultimately received CNC status, which we are grateful for, but there is still a lien on our home — the main thing we had originally hoped to avoid when we first reached out. I do think we could have done this ourselves and saved the $20,000, but we called because of the lien threat, and we got a lien anyway. Our tax issue was the result of an unintentional mistake during a year when our income changed dramatically. We have always filed early and paid on time, and if our financial situation improves, we fully intend to pay what we owe. We believe in paying taxes for roads, education, arts, health, etc — we just didn’t have the ability to at the time, and we still do not. If we had known about the mistake in a timely manner, we could have taken care of right away, but we did not know we made a mistake until 3 years after the mistake occurred, and by then it was too late to fix. Final unexpected twist: the official IRS CNC letter arrived entirely in Spanish, which neither of us speaks, so Google Translate has temporarily joined our financial team.And that concludes our IRS saga — a story of stress, perseverance, personality contrasts, and one truly excellent case manager.

I spoke to a wonderful representative at Alleviate Tax, Dylan Lintz. Dylan listened to me intently he wanted to understand completely how he would be able to help me. I believe after speaking to Dylan and him relaying the information to his associates I know I'll be in a better situation moving forward with my IRS situation. I hope others take advantage of help that's being offered by a company cares like Alleviate Tax.
I received assistance from Christian and he seemed so compassionate about my circumstances that has led up to this situation of my tax debt and so much more. He offered to assist me by reducing my upfront cost, with approval to help me get the process started.
I had a 5 year nightmare with TRA. After 5 years they did nothing but stall and that created a lot more interest and penalties. But thye best news is I found Alleviate Tax and in about 6 weeks they have taken care of the issuie I hjave with the irs. I can not say enough great things about Sol Crisostomo. She was amazing and always kept me up to date with anything that was going on . She explained evrything and anythoing that I needed to know. and made sure I understood it all. She was professional and also friendlt. I am so happy she was handling myu tax situation and The only bad thinbg is I will actyually miss talking to her. THIEVES. RUN!!!! I hired them 3 years ago and STILL nothing. They wanted to charge me AGAIN! After paying 10k and got NO HELP. NO RESOLUTION. I'M SUING THEM.
I had Jason work on my IRS paperwork. The gentleman that did this job were the best of the best!!!! Jason took a lot of time with me, and I certainly needed a lot of help. I am a 79 year old lady who isn’t very computer smart. Jason led me thru step by step and in several hours Jason managed to make me computer wiser than I was when he started talking to me. Jason has the patience to lead me thru this, he has the patience to help anyone!!! Thank you Jason for all your expert help, I couldn’t have done this without you. The only good experience I had w this joke of a place was w Rafid A. Rafid was so kind and professional and tried to keep me and my husband calm after a giant mess the useless woman who was my contact person before RafidA. Thank Goodness for Rafid! Alleviate is lucky to have him as I felt much safer in his hands after the mess up that the name I won’t say. She was right before Rafid. She almost had me owing the IRS almost 30k due to her brainless mean and nasty work ethic! Rafid was wonderful though First let me say that once the tax preparation people got the correct information , they fixed the giant mess that the miserable and unprofessional woman caused for us by giving seriously wrong information to the tax preparation team, they fixed it when I saw she didn’t put certain income in the correct place for tax preparation guy! She was rude and unprofessional! Thank God for Rafid A and the man Macaneany and other tax experts and lawyer. Thank you RAFID
