Avoid!!!!!!

We have just come back from a ten night stay at Alua Calas De Mallorca the views from the hotel are beautiful. The food was okay but not labelled very well and lack of choice for young children especially if there slightly fussy eaters. We were a large group of 24. The sun bed situation is a nightmare if you’re not up at 6.30am you’re probably not getting one. Everyone reserved beds as did we as a group of 24 we reserved about 10 a day and were always on our beds. I think it was our second or third day we were sat on our sun beds at 10am when a German family approached us and claimed we were sat on their sun beds. They had laid their towels on top of ours to try and take the beds we were on. They rudely approached us shouting and swearing and name calling telling us to get off their beds. We had young children with us and it was very loud and aggressive. The German man then proceeded to tip me off my sun bed causing me to fall on the floor! I asked themTo just go away and stop causing issues in front of our small children. He then sat on my sun bed and refused to move all whilst his wife was screaming abuse at us all. He then also tipped my friend off her sun bed and she fell to the floor he started carrying the sunbed knocking into some of the other people we were with and hit someone in the arm with it. He took the beds off us and sat behind us. I went to the hotel reception to ask for some help and asked them to phone to the police, a lady came down to ‘help’ she said the police won’t come out to this even though we had been physically assaulted! Her words were she couldn’t educate people on how to behave. I asked her to move the family away from us to stop it from causing further issues and she didn’t she had a quiet word with them and that was it. Nobody came to check on us after the incident as we were all shaken up including all the children. We are mostly all women with only a few men with us so it was intimidating. The’re were several witnesses to this incident who all asked how we was and said it was appalling. The man in question was over 6ft tall and about twenty stone. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable behaviour and we felt the hotel didn’t care at all. We spoke with our Jet2 rep who said she would look into it she came back to us and said the hotel weren’t interested and were quite rude and intimidating so she passed it up to someone higher. The management at the hotel are rude and don’t care. The man who did this should of been removed from the hotel or at least moved away from us, as all day after the incident he stared at us and sat and laughed and made us feel really uncomfortable all day. We were also sat on the terrace bar one night around 11pm when someone threw a full bottle of water off there balcony at us skimming my 4 year olds head. When reported to the hotel they weren’t interested again! Someone else in our party went to bed and there bathroom door wouldn’t open and when reported to reception they said go to the ground floor and use then toilet there!! They sent someone round the nextMorning to fix it after them having no access to there toilet all night. The lack of empathy from the hotel management. We dealt with Esmarelda the manager she was rude and dismissive and didn’t really care that we had being physically assaulted by the guests in her hotel. As a big party we paid over £20,000 for this holiday and to feel unsafe whilst on a big family and friend holiday is completely unacceptable and all down to the hotels management team. Where was their duty of care? The English lady who worked in the Moka & Mar bar was an asset to the hotel such a lovely lady and couldn’t do enough for us. Most of the bar staff and waiters were good aswell. The lifts also took a long time and with prams etc it was a nightmare sometimes waiting over 20 minutes for a lift. Also no ramp down to the smaller pool for pram access making it really difficult. To be honest I would avoid this hotel at all costs we will not be returning and would advise others against it! After several holidays in Spain this will certainly be the last. I have never ever complained or wrote a bad review anywhere but I feel this was necessary.

Mixed feelings about this place . The Jurys out

We are just home from an 8 day stay at Alua calles de mallorca . There were good and negative points about this place il summarise. positives. Beautiful place and location. stunning views. gorgeous beach 15 min walk awayHousekeeping mainly always good. Laid back vibe.Animation team brilliant and managed to keep everyone entertained with their hard work and fun factor. Negatives.Dog in opposite room 0909 kept us awake for first 4 days of our holiday with constant yapping. Yes they allow Pets but travel agents state no pets allowed. This hotel confirmed they have allowed pets since last year. this ruined our holiday. shocking and inconsiderate to others allowing dogs here. The food was always cold and very repetitive The lifts were always broke and lights going off into complete darkness while in lift which was scary. very inconvenient as long waits for a lift. Sunbed culture there needs to be sorted as if you do not get down to the pool by 6 am ish to put towels on your bed then you wont have a bed that day. 4 days out of our 8 night stay we had no sunbed. if you dont take on the if you cant beat them join them theory then your truly stuck. The place has not much around to walk to. All that said , with one or two changes by management this place could be wonderful. If changes were made then we would return but we would hire a car next time. you need to get rid of dogs , spoilt our experience, the dog was even out in hotel bars of an evening . Katerina on reception was lovely, empathic and helpful. The lady who cleaned our room was brilliant and so nice. Gonzale and his mate shakira 😂😂were just brilliant on entertaining and loved the aqua gym and water dance . Ignatio the chef needs to smile as he is working in hospitality and people are on holiday.

Wouldn't recommend

Wouldn't recommend. Where to start....not enough plugs in room and straighteners etc can't get near a plug. They don't change the beds or towels. Staff abrupt and rude. Food not good for British people. Snack bar outside looks lovely outside but millions of flies sitting on the food. No insect fans either. Its a no from us Wouldn't come back

Would not recommend more a 2 star than a 4 star.…

Let's start with the positives on this hotel won't take long. We went to alua Atlantica golf resort Tenerife this October 20/2024The hotel is nice and clean, the room we had was comfortable with views overlooking the sea and also the pool area so this is a plus. The staff were really lovely. This is where it stops Let's start with the basics I'm disabled and the only toilet that was any good for me to use was the one near the restaurant, the upper toilet linked with the normal toilets the door was heavy so had to push open. no stoppers to keep it in place. For a week this disabled toilet in this block was locked. so I struggled to get in the normal toilets. The lifts took forever to get to us. The wait was long and most of the time these were not working so wait was longer. The lift level was never straight Being on a scooter made this hard work to get out of the lift. The food was really bad. I mean bad we had raw gammon raw eggs raw sausage and meat was either fatty or to tough to chew not only this but was always cold even when you went at first opening the food was cold. We ate chips pizza and cake all our holiday. For the price this is no way a four star. With the level of food it's like they just thought give them fat it doesn't matter. Now the drinks. Once again for the price you don't even get named drinks just the cheap stuff. And wait there's more you get a token and when you have had a drink you take the cup back for a refill so.. this means one drink at a time. and the queue gets longer for refill is this the way to do things? I think not. Kids disco is half hour only. The entertainment for the rest of the evening was not all that. very medioka would I stay again here definitely not There are no shops near by no bars so your there in the hotel. There is a bus you book for to go to Americas and so forth.

Alua Illa de Menorca

To start with I want to say the entertainment at this hotel was actually 5star. Nacho and gang were absolutely incredible with the children at the mini disco and entertained us adults just as much, they were extremely friendly and welcoming and made our stay in Menorca fun and enjoyable. We also watched an incredible acrobatic act which where by far one of the best performances we have ever seen and the singers were also fantastic. Now onto the reasons I’m only giving this hotel 2 stars in this review. 1. The reception staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. They were very unwelcoming and made us feel like we couldn’t ask for help or guidance. They didn’t give us any information when we arrived and wouldn’t give us our towel deposit back as they said we hadn’t paid. 2. FLIES EVERYWHERE! All over the food, all day every day. 3. The lack of variety with the food was seriously disappointing. Everything was either greasy or covered with flies. I couldn’t believe how poor the food actually was after reading some of these reviews but I would only give it 1star. 4. The staff in the pool bar were unfriendly. So much so it made you feel awkward going to get drinks.5. The smell was horrendous. We originally stayed in room 636 and actually had to change as our room stunk of the cooking fat being used downstairs. And this smell was everywhere. We switched rooms to 627 which was a much better room but had to pay extra to do this. 6. The lifts were so small I struggled every day with my buggy to the 6th floor. The only other positive things I have to say about this hotel is the lady running the sports bar was wonderful and the rooms were clean despite the smell.

ALUA SOL MAJORCA - My Favourite Club MIS-SOLD

Oh dear - what a disappointment. We paid extra for “My Favourite Club”. First morning i put my towel on a bed by the pool to have it removed when i went for breakfast. Sunbeds were reserved & thats extra money. Our MFClub section was back under the trees away from the pool. Food was all inclusive but very samey…drinks not all inclusive especially cocktails. Eating area for MFClub was just a roped off section, empty & further away again - general area much nicer. We were excited to see the rooftop terrace but NOTHING is included there in the all inclusive, not even water. Everyone pays. Totally mis-sold. Wanting to run in the gym but no air conditioning - its small too so running in 40degrees heat not great. The beach beds are extra and nothing to do with the hotel. You can take your own towel and sit on the right side. The staff definately prioritised you if German - the majority of their guests. We were told we had late check out option with MyFClub which we needed as 5.30 leave but no 12 noon checkout like everyone else. WHAT WE DID GET With MFClub - we were on top two floors BUT every room faced the sea and had the same view. One free bottle of Cava on arrival at a bar of your choice but Cava free in the all inclusive anyway. Mini bar in our room, no alcohol just soft drinks & water replaced daily. We had a pack of kleenex and weighing scales!! and a coffee machine. Thats it! Room was cleaned and tidied daily however our room wasnt the Superior Double Room we booked - just a standard double with high view. Shame as if we’d paid less and not had the MFClub i’d of been happier.

The hotel is beautiful on the outside…

The hotel is beautiful on the outside staff can't do enough for you l went all inclusive and was not impressed. The rooms l had sea view were very badly designed. No where to get changed and bathroom was all open. Stable type door on toilet not private at all. We ended up using hotel toilet at times.Shower door the same so when someone had a shower all room was wet. The food was atrocious not much variety and ifyou didn't get there early you had nothing.l went with a friend from work for the first time holiday and room was unbelievable. I just came back but in season a club next door would very horrendous.

Alua Soul Majorca - Highly Recommended

We travelled from the UK with Jet2 to enjoy a 10-day holiday at the Aluasoul Carolina Majorca. Upon arrival, the hotel staff checked us in - in minutes and we were shown to our rooms on the ninth floor. The view from the hotel across the bay is nothing less than stunning. The hotel is well equiped to cover all holiday needs. The wonderful reception staff were there for us 24/7 and helped us with everyting from excursion bookings to advice on local places to see during our stay. The rooms were perfect. A professional maid service was there each day and included new towels, mini bar top up, room cleaning etc. The rooms were spotless. The restaurant floor manager could not have been more helpful, ditto the restaurant staff. The chefs were brilliant and I am already missing my daily omlettes ! In summary, our stay was wonderful, we chilled, walked and visited the local areas of interest. A special thanks goes to the reception staff, Sandra and Carlos. They sorted out our last-minute issues when we missed our return flight home !! Well done and thank you for all of your help.

Alua Suites - Fuerteventura

On arrival we received a very warm welcome. Our stay was in ‘My Favourite Club’. Obviously this costs extra and so you expect more for your money. Our junior suite was on the ground floor, facing the swimming pool no smoking or vaping allowed which was great. junior suite on entry looked lovely. However, the shower was filthy. Black shoe marks all over the shower floor & loads of ants crawling about in the corner. Room was never cleaned just fresh towels daily. The swimming pool was never cleaned apart from one time when somebody complained that there were leaves in the pool. There are ‘lifeguards’ on a daily basis. Most of them walk around the pool, checking everybody is okay and alerting people to the fact that you are not allowed to have porcelain cups/plates or glasses by your the chairs due to safety issues, which was brilliant. Sun loungers by the pool are comfortable but are filthy looking. Towels left on loungers all day while guests go out for the day but nobody does anything about it. Reported to guest relations manager but he didn’t want to upset the gueste even if that meant upsetting the other half of the clients that could never get a sun lounger. ‘My favourite club’ restaurants had very little choice. The food was often the same. Other restaurants had more choice but having paid the extra for the ‘my favourite club’, you would expect more than in the other restaurants where people have paid less. Food is overcooked, food was dried out. Food was transferred from one restaurant to another and what we got one day in one restaurant was then served in another restaurant the next day under a different dish i.e. chinese chicken one day same chicken next day was chicken tikka masala but looked and tasted exactly the same bIn the plaza restaurant, the food, often the meat, is cold. On one occasion l had the ribs only to find they were cold. The waitress told a young female cook who just shrugged her shoulders. When l told her the ribs were cold she replied ‘there’s a microwave over there’. Having paid for extra luxury (my favourite club), l was also expected to heat my own food up!! This was reported to reception but there was no comeback whatsoever. the Nabium restaurant, which was open 3 times a week, it was like a marathon to eat. There are 3 options on the menu which all consist of a 5 course meal. The 1st course arrived and before we had time to finish it they were bringing out the 2nd course. We had to try and make room on our table for the 1st course. No sooner had we started our 2nd course, along came the 3rd course. It was so fast, we just didn’t have the room for 3 courses on the table so had to ask them to take the 1st course away and half of the 2nd course to. In all the restaurants the fish was overcooked and the shrimps were never cleaned. Their bowel contents were left in. The entertainment was very amateurish and cheap looking. Magicians were tricks were going wrong. A singer with absolutely no charisma reading the words of the songs on his ipad. Two acts were great the Soul sisters and the Motown brothers. Considering this is a so-called Hyatt hotel, which are supposed to offer top hotels, it was far from it. It was very disappointing and unfortunately it is not a place l would ever return to or recommend.

Alua de menorca

The hotel was dreadful DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The food is cold and lack of choice the hotel staff never smile and the reception staff can’t answer a single question. I’m 8 months pregnant and wanted a relaxing holiday it was not that what so ever and the jet2 rep Toby was useless. The hotel has a complete lack of customer care it’s a shame jet2 have wrongly advertised this hotel as the rest of our experience ie/ flights and interaction with jet2 members of staff were pleasant and friendly can’t fault it on that front however the 6 days we spent in that hell hole win this holiday a 1/5.The hotel was inappropriate for children they way the staff treated us and others was disappointing and they didn’t even let a lady bring milk in for her 2 year old son they made her pay for it and an older lady needed a doctors appointment that the hotel wouldn’t help her find/book.Room was dirty and the staff were beyond rude please whatever you do do not fall for this scam like we have. Vanessa and the other women (night and day staff) need training on how to look after customers.

Alua Calas de Mallorca review

I don't want people to be be misled when they spend their hard-earned money. Guys, this is definitely NOT a 4-star hotel, no way.Let me tell you my current observations (I'm staying here now) so you could decide whether it's appropriate for you.1. They don't have enough sunbeds for all their guests. Meaning that you have to rush to the pool at 8-9 am to get a one. Also there is a staff who collects peoples' towels and throws them into the bin if there is no one sitting on them. I have traveled a lot in my life and have been in many countries and stayed in different hotels but this is a brand new user experience to me. I hope it's my last one.Pools open at 10.00!!! have you seen that before?? I haven’t and I couldn’t believe it's possible.Water in pools is cold. Really cold. So when you have 27 degrees outside, you will not get a nice swim. I'm used to hotels which heat the water so it's nice and comfy for guests. 2. There are no toilets and changing rooms at the pools. You have to go to the hotel if you need to use a toilet. Fantastic commodity, huh?3. There are 2 buildings in the hotel, but lunch is served in only one, meaning that all that enormous amount of people are going to one restaurant to have their lunch and queue is outrageous. People are staying in the corridor as a cattle. Actually, the restaurants are in both buildings so why they serve lunch in the only one, I can’t explain. Poor customer service, I suppose.4. There are 12 floors in the buildings but lifts aren’t sufficient. Be prepared to use stairs a lot. I would recommend to people with knees issues to steer clear from the hotel.Generally, I don't recommend. I'm glad that I have come for a week only and will be leaving in 2 days.

Alua Calas de Mallorca - ****Avoid this resort****

Alua Calas de Mallorca - ****Avoid this resort ****this resort is not in great shape, customer service people are not helpful, horrible service and very resist staff. food staff they told me to have dinner outside as they cannot find the space in the food area. hotel staff is ungrateful. A.C doesn't work properly and when i complain, they said they cannot do anything and i have to stay as it is because there were no rooms available and the AC cannot be fixed. i complained about 3 to 4 times but no action taken (Room No 2903 - Stay Date between 17th July to 24th July)Jet2 Holidays should stop putting fake nice photos to attract people. i am very disappointed with Jet2 holidays as they promise that, this resort is 4 Stars but this is just under 3 Stars. please see review before going to this place as majority people are not happy with this service.I should be getting my 50% money back due to poor service and unpleasant stay. Drinks were mixed with the water so the resort don't bear the extra cost. paying £2500 for this holiday with family, i believe this holiday should not cost me more than £1000 as the service that i have received.

Disgusting

I went to Alua Leo in Mallorca, a four star hotel. The room was filthy and left another guest's information in the room upon arrival, the towels were dirty and there was a hair in the food.

Close 5 Star

We would have given 5 stars but we arrived 10pm Wednesday 7 June and wasn't informed about meal times, private sun bathing area or any other basic information, no information pack in room either. Having said that this hotel is very clean, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent selection of food, hot and cold. We will be back next June.

Alua Casa de Mallorca - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

This Jet 2 Package Holiday to Hotel Alua Calas de Mallorca Resort was nothing like the advertisement on Jet 2's website. It DEFINETLY is not a 4 Star Hotel. I think the web photos are a decade out of date. I've asked Jet to 2.com to visit this hotel and re-inspect its poor condition before sending any more unsuspecting holidaymakers there. Locals say it has had a new owner and the star rating is long out of date. Be VERY careful when booking this hotel as there are 2 hotel buildings on this site ie the Main Building where we stayed and a Sister building. The main building is terrible. The only thing it has going for it, is its stunning views. In Reality: The lovely blue cushions and sofas on the terrace are nothing like the photos on the webpage, they are all dirty, and the cushions are often left on the floor. Cushions are faded and have no body support to them, Sofas and terrace furniture has unravelling plastic wicker threads. Everywhere there are Plastic cups, plates of left food, and cigarette buts. The hotel was scruffy and dilapidated, let water in through the roof when it rained. Had a great big hole approx. 6ft x 3ft in the ceiling, one floor up from the Restuarant. Infestations of flies landing on food in the Restaurant. Saw Cockroaches and Large Black beetles around main pool area. Broken toilets, full sanitary towel bins not emptied. No hand towels or soap, broken sun blinds, broken sun loungers, (the Web photos only show a few new sun loungers around the pool) broken lift, 160 steps down to garden level and 160 back up for us. We ended up with bad stomachs. Avoid this hotel it is not a 4 star, but a mere 2 for its location and a Zero for what's inside.
