My window air condition went out several times while I stayed the three nights I was told by the front desk. Just get unplug and plug back up. That;s all they could do no managment or maintenance.
Best Western Slidell, LA Beware _My window air condition went out, had short in the wiring which also cut the TV off for three nights I had to put up this inconvience hotel management was not concerned are present. They had non speaking immigrants working as maids and bringing the continental breakfast dailey. Offered me no different room. Thier advertisement states that a bar, Airport shuttle, room service all that services is false. They have a hidden $100.00 surge charge. Management will not talk with you, front desk will give excuses that management is overseas. The worst place I have stayed, old towels, locked swimming pool area.

We stayed at Best Western Fort Myers Inn & Suites on 23 july to 25 july with our 7-year-old son. During the night, he became ill (likely due to heatstroke) and vomited a small amount on the bedsheet while sleeping. We immediately removed the sheets and informed housekeeping the next morning before breakfast. The sheets were changed without issue, and we continued our stay.After returning home, we discovered that our $100 security deposit had been withheld. When we contacted the hotel, they refused to refund it, claiming the soiled sheet was the reason. We were given no prior warning, no documentation, and no breakdown of this charge.What makes this even more frustrating is that we've stayed in many hotels — both in the U.S. and abroad — and have never experienced a deposit deduction for a health-related, non-damaging incident involving a child.The hotel room was not damaged in any way, just a basic linens change that any hotel would perform as part of normal operations. This was a temporary, medical issue involving a child — not negligence or misuse of the room.To make matters worse, the staff was dismissive and impolite, and the hotel management showed no understanding or flexibility. Even when we contacted Best Western’s corporate customer service, we were simply told, "The hotel decides."This experience was deeply disappointing, and we do not believe it reflects the values that Best Western claims to uphold. Their pool was closed for ‘maintenance’…
Their pool was closed for ‘maintenance’ though there was a sign on the pool door saying it was closed by the board of health. They said that it was on the website that the pool was unavailable. It did not say that when I made the reservation. My husband did check the website after we checked in and we had to click 3 different links to get to the right page and at the top under amenities it says pool, you have to scroll all the way to the very bottom of the page to see a little side note the says pool under maintenance. The elevator only worked part of the time. The ice machine was broken so no ice the whole time we were there. The overall look of the hotel itself was very rundown, like not nice looking. The staff was fake friendly which was just condescending. I asked for a partial refund and was told only corporate could issue that. I asked for the corporate number and was told they didn’t have that information at the front desk that I would have to look it up on their website. I called corporate and they said they don’t issue refunds only upper management at specific facilities can issue refunds. A very disappointing experience that will effect if we stay

The worst place to stay , the night clerk stood outside my room smoking and talking on the phone , woke me up at 3:30am and again at 5:30am then got mad because I said something to her the Jan the so-called district manager didn’t say anything when I complained don’t stay here

Salina, KS BW is top of our list!
My husband & I often choose Best Western Hotels when we have a choice traveling. Bestwestern Plus in Salina, KS was a great choice for us. From the helpful staff, fresh squeezed lemons in their lobby’s water dispenser & regular filtered water available, coffee bar with flavored & regular creamers, superb fresh breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, waffles (they had it all, too much to list), comfy beds & pillows, and plenty of hot water, our stay was most enjoyable. I favorited this BW in my phone for when I come back thru Kansas. Thanks BW once again!

Booked a family room online for this Sunday coming at the Gloucester hotel. Only to find I’ve been charged twice and have two rooms. Phoned to get one removed only to be told ‘they can’t process a refund even though it was their systems mistake ! Had the cheek to suggest as I was bringing a pet that two rooms would be more comfortable! Spoke to several people to resolve via a call centre as hotel direct doesn’t pick up, eventually someone said they would sort it and email me confirmation… still waiting!!!!

Booked a seaview direct with Best Western but when i got there i was told this was an error. The room i had was on the side so not a good start. The man on reception said it was something to do with the websites listings, but he offered free breakfast to compensate. The car park was free but a bit small. The room was nice and clean and had photos of the Blackpool area. The breakfast was good but only scrambled eggs until the last day when there was a choice. The staff member in the breakfast room was very friendly. I did want some food in the evening but was told it was closed. Tram stop right opposite and 2 mins walk to town so no issues there.

However, according to the hotel's website such a room was offered at a far lower price - USD 471 for three nights. Nevertheless we paid USD 903 for three nights. We have stayed at several Best Western hotels, mostly in the UK, and they have all been very nice. The hotels are comfortable, quiet, welcoming and the staff are always very helpful. What we particularly like is that each Best Western hotel is unique, reflecting more of the area in which they are situated and less of the corporate image. Also, there are some good deals if you stay a few nights and book on the Best Western web site.

Spent 3 nights at Best Western El Grande Inn15135 Lakeshore Drive (707) 994-2000 Clearlake, California 95422-8106 United States.• Face mask req. but not enforced. Mask not needed if vaccinated but no one checks for vaccination record.• Restaurant desk unstaffed for 10 minutes. Cook sitting at a table and didn't bother to help find waitress/receptionist• One of two elevators was out of service• Candy machine was out of service• There was an odd odor in hotel for two days• Great service from staff at reception desk• Our room had energy efficient lighting in the bathroom but it was so bright, we had to remove a few bulbs so we would not be blinded at night.• Our room had three motion detector light switches. One didn't work consistently and one controlled an electrical outlet which that outlet useless on less you left the lights on all the time.• Old, needs renovating. Furniture and hotel layout is old. Has an atrium which allows noise to permeate the hotel and rooms. Could hear water fountain from front of atrium in our room at back of atrium. Have stayed in this hotel a few times over 35 years and it is still the same. Needs refreshing/refurbishing.• Does not have USB ports in room• Stained carpet in room• Needs noise insulation between hallway and rooms and between rooms• Dogs in hotel. Website says no pets but staff allows pets anyway. Just say the magic words 'service animal' and no questions asked. So you may be next to a barking dog like we were

I stay at Best Western four times a month in Texas. I stay in Portland Texas and find it's always clean, wonderful breakfast, exemplary staff, helpful ownership, and very safe. I stay at San Antonio in Best Western and have found their breakfast to be very good and their rooms extremely clean and convenient. I have only stayed at one scary Best Western and that was in Corpus Christi. It had outdoor access and I felt like I was at a crack Motel. When I open the door the room stunk like a tobacco Factory. I asked for a non-smoking room and they put me in a smoking room and wouldn't refund my money because I used booking.com. I recommend you using bestwestern.com for all your reservation and cancelations. I am a diamond Rewards member and get lots of points, free nights, gift cards and preferential treatment when I check in. I highly recommend trying Best Western for your business and personal travel needs.MO
