absolutely do not recommend this school. The teachers consistently treat students with no respect whatsoever, and it feels like they will hire just about anyone. Many of the teachers they bring in can barely communicate properly in English, which makes learning even more difficult.The food is unacceptable. The lunch staff seems to just throw things together with no care for quality, and the meals are often disgusting.This year’s Fall Fest was a perfect example of how poorly everything is handled. We paid $15 to attend, only to be served cold pizza and Capri Suns. We weren’t even allowed to sit down—the tables and chairs were taken away. The entire event was poorly planned, disappointing, and honestly felt like a waste of money.On top of all that, the school is not safe. We’ve had to deal with fires, shootings, and other incidents that make students feel constantly on edge.

i hate this school. The food bad, the deans bad, the service bad, the teacher bad. the teachers always yell and get mad like shut up damn and the deans care more about the teachers they don't care bout the students unless they acting bad.The lunch is bad it tastes like soggy taco bell but worse like damn ii feel like im getting sick. Don't come to this school its trash very very bad. Bad everything ,is dirty unless visitors are there. The bathrooms are dirty, the teachers always be like be respectful but have no respect for the students. THEY ARE ANNOYING. Don't send your kid here or they will get treated badly. they don' do anythin bout the bullies.

Kids with challenges at Brooklyn Scholars Charter School
The school is family oriented and the Principal really cares about the students.
However, the school needs to work on dealing with kids with special needs / behavior problems and addressing the issues of these kids effectively and efficiently daily.
Each child learn differently. Just because a teacher is in charge of a class at times them don't how to teach or how to differentiate learning for kids who are not on grade level. All kids should be given a chance to learn --- just that some learn slower.

My daughter is always eager to go to school and wishes we found BFS sooner. She is a junior now and has discovered her voice in the last 3 years, while pushing her and focusing on educational excellence . For years I searched for a school that was welcoming and challenging. I am excited for her future and thank BFS for being in Brooklyn. Please continue to do what you can to retain your teachers and seek out top talent when needed.

WHAT A WONDERFUL TEACHER COULD ACCOMPLISH
I have a child in first grade he was crying @ the beginning of the school year he didn't want to go with Mrs. Randall because he said she was too hard. Mrs. Randall with her patient n her care for her students gave my son that trust that now he loves her and cares for her. He does her work with a smile and says mommy she is fun and her work is not hard @ all.
