Complete Scam
Cash4laptops is an absolute scam. I received an initial estimate value of $140. Sent in my phone and for 3 weeks didn't hear back. I emailed them to request follow up, he next morning I had a deposit in my
PayPal account for $10. Expecting somewhere in the range of $140 I called to inquire. They claimed that they had emailed me a follow up email telling me of the $10 and had given me 5 days to respond. My non-response gave them the impression that the $10 was acceptable.
Ironically, they never deposited the $10 until I emailed them asking for follow up. They claimed that when they received the phone it was missing the SIM tray and had white spots on the screen. That's weird, it was perfectly fine when I sent it to them.
Complete scam, STAY AWAY!

They promise you a certain amount and then pay you pennies!!! They promise you will get your money in a day after they receive it--try 2 full weeks! They don't answer phone calls and/or emails. Abhorrent customer service. The worst rip-off and scam I've ever dealt with!! My iphone is now gone and I've received only a few dollars for it. Scammers!!

scammed by Cash4laptops
On 12/22/14, I went to the Cash4laptops website, to sell my wife’s Apple iPhone 4s. She had upgraded to an iPhone 6.
I’m now convinced that this company baits possible clients by informing up front that the seller will receive an appropriate amount for their property. In my case, it was $124 for an iPhone 4s. That figure was acceptable to me, so I sent them the phone. The phone was in MINT condition, it holds a charge and had no damage, whatsoever. Never been dropped, scratched or any where near liquids. I also included a car charger and USB cable and charger.
I received an email that I would actually receive only $10 for the phone! They claimed that there was water damage!! When I informed them via email and by phone I wouldn’t have agreed to anything for that low amount and that I wanted my property returned, they said it was too late and that the phone had already been recycled. I find this part really annoying, because I had not been paid yet, and still they refused to return my property! They claimed there was nothing they could do!
They finally agreed to give me $20 for the phone. The chargers alone cost well over $50!
This company has figured out a way to get valuable electronic gear from people by baiting them with an amount of money that clearly they never intend to pay! The switch is when they inform the sucker (me) the actual amount they will pay, while providing no way to pull out of the deal! They have a nice little scam going on!!
I wish I could determine the $ amount that they sold my property for…

Like many other reviewers I experienced poor service
I was quoted $85 and paid $7. Calling on the phone took a long time. I was on hold over 40 minutes and had to call more than once. Was told different reasons for large difference in price. When I counter their arguments they finally said "well the market changes day to day". They are dishonest in my opinion.

Fraud, Scam, Liars, and Thieves
They claim good service, communications, and fast turnaround. They do nothing that they say they will do. They say if they offer you less than quote after inspection, they call and negotiate that price. Not true. They send a small check. I hassled them, called BBB, Internet Fraud FBI, investigative news reporting in Northern Nevada...they finally sent me a bigger check, which bounced. I have asked them to just the device back for months now...I don't know why the site is not closed and a few of their people arrested. Do you really believe after your experience, that they are doing good things for the environment. They are making a lot of money by ripping people off. If I could post the pic, I'd show you the bounced check. I am going to spend some time trying to get as much attention on them as I can. If my situation doesn't get resolved soon, I'll be paying them a visit in person .

Should have read reviews 1st. SCAM
Like the message below, I asked for a check. They quoted me $143 for the phone, and put $20 in the account. The phone has been in an Otter box its entire life. No scratches, etc. I sent an email, as it is after hours. We'll see.

CONFIRMED SCAM
There are literally THOUSANDS of reviews on this company being a scam. Just type in "cash4iphones scam" or "cashforlaptops scam" and you will find more reviews than you can read in a day. The two websites are the same company, and they even operate several others. They first quoted me $387 for my like-new iPhone 5s 32GB. They said on the website they would call me if they quote was changed, but instead they snuck $29 lowsy bucks in my paypal account (even though I said I wanted a check). I tried multiples times to reach them, however I keep jumping through hoops that always lead to a voicemail, but nobody ever calls back. Scammed.... it hurts. :(

Too good to be true
I was quoted $143, and received $10. Never able to get through to anyone or receive any correspondence back.

Cash4Laptops is a Scam Company - They will 1st quote you about 25% of the Online Quote
As I now read through some of the reviews for this company, I can say this is a scamming website. Cash4Laptops quoted me $116 for a cracked screen Iphone 4 - 16 GB. I went with this company as they were a bit higher the the other company I have used before USell. (USell.com, which is better and paid me the exact amount they quoted for another phone). The representative from Cash4Laptops calls and tell me I have a cracked screen, which I told him I already stated when they quoted the price. He said their was minor scratches on my phone and now my phone is worth $30. I balked at him and then he went to ask a manager and now are willing to give me $50 as time has passed and their are scratches. I have had that phone in a case the entire time I had the phone so their are no scratches. Usell.com is now offering $73, but by the time they return my phone and I ship to Usell.com it will probably go down to $50. Very dissatisfied with this company. It seems they use the same old ploy of minor scratches on the phone to lower the price. Will NEVER use them again.

It was very easy to get my money back for my laptops.
It was very easy to get my money back for my laptops. I loved that they sent me the pre packaging and made it convenient when I had questions. I will use them and recommend again and again due to their great customer service.
