Cell base Altrincham. Absolutely criminal this shop. Bought my grandson a iPhone with a six month warranty I've had it exactly 3 months 11days and has been back to the shop to be repaired and they have charged me even under Warranty. It still isn't working and under the consumer act 2015 I have a right to a refund but they refuse even though they are breaking the law and the warranty is still valid. I paid 25 pound for a new apple battery to be put in it and it turns out it's just a random cheap one. Thinkthars fraud. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on and they make up any excuse not to refund you. They've basically stolen nearly 300 pound of a child. Now I have to get my credit card issuer to try and get a charge back. I reported them to trading standards because what they are doing is criminals Dishonest thieves.

Cell Base , Coulby Newham.Always,always helpful. Will help wherever they can. Newish A15 suddenly unable to turn on after 2 mths so took to Darren who investigated & found a hardware fault. No charge at all. So after returning the faulty mobile , and with no mobile I decided to buy a better S model from the store. Darren happily transferred all my data from my previous mobile and set it up like brand new. They are very knowledgeable & happy to help. Never feel anything is a bother.Thankyou you guys...top notch customer service as ever.

I went to get a replacement for my old phone and ended up with a "new" Chromebook tablet as well.Everything went pear-shaped. My data wasn't removed, from either my old phone or my existing Chromebook. It was impossible to sign in on the old Chromebook.Their "expert" couldn't fix it. So the data could not be transferred to my new device.They didn't give me a receipt so I was told I could neither return it or sell it back to them. I gave up and took the Chromebook to an EXPERT who sorted it out for me.And even I managed to wipe the data from my old phone and despite the fact that there was a password issue with my old Chromebook, I succeeded wiping that too. Cell Base couldn't. Some experts.Oh I forgot to mention that the "new" chromebook tablet I was sold was conveniently 5 months out of the one year warranty which meant I couldn't even buy an extended warranty from the manufacturer.

Disappointing phone repair
It is with regret I wrote this review as I thought I was getting a good service from Cell base. On 3rd September 2025 I went into Cell Base at Middleton grange Hartlepool. The reason for going to Cell base; my iPhone was in my coat pocket it got slammed in the taxi door with my iPhone in it. So the screen cracked not excessively but I thought it best to replace it.I Went to Cell base I was given a discount and told it would be fitted with a premium screen not an LCD one.I was asked to return in 30 minutes which I did and I paid for a new screen, a screen saver and a good phone case to prevent any other accidents.when I got home I found the screen kept freezing so I went back to the shop and saw the female assistant. Again I was told to come back in 30 minutes so it could be fixed with a new screen. 5 times I returned to the shop which is an hours journey, because the screen only worked for a short time. 5 times they claimed to fit a new screen when screens cost £150. I had to keep restarting the phone numerous times each day.The last time I went to the shop the male assistant told me the problem maybe a damaged Motherboard.So I booked an appointment at the Apple store and got the phone checked out. The only fault found was the screen. It was suggested to take off the screen protector and see if it would improve performance.The screen saver was removed and I could not believe my eyes. Underneath the screen was cracked in exactly the same place and pattern as when I first took it to the shop.I felt scammed. So I went back to the shop on 15th October 2025 over a month after the first repair; but the Male assistant was not interested in what I had to say. He told me I must have broken the screen. I was puzzled not only had I purchased a thick wallet type phone case from the shop, I had not knocked or dropped the phone and the screen saver was in tact not even a scratch. So how is it the screen underneath is cracked exactly as when I took it for replacement. Maybe it was cracked during one of the repairs they did and it was covered up with a screen protector. Even so it should not stop the screen working. The original cracked had not stopped the screen working!How is it 5 times they could claim to change the screen when it was expensive to do so.I was so frustrated and disappointed. I took the phone to a shop in London it was repaired in front of me while I waited. Now the phone works perfectly like new. I like Cell Base whereby 5 new screens and the phone was still faulty. I will never use that store again. I have since noticed the phone repair shops I have seen, they do not tell the customer to come back, they do the repair while they wait. I feel scammed, I am a disabled person on a low income, I am now out of pocket as I had to oY for a second but genuine repair. I don't understand why Cell Base could not fix my phone but another shop could fix it first time.

This is my second visit to Cell Base and both times Tyler has served me and is so knowledgeable and very helpful. Would highly recommend this shop. My husband and I went in for a phone for me and my husband ended up buying one also as his certainly needed replacing , all info transferred accessories thrown in! Perfect!🤩

I went to the shop today as I was having trouble with charging my phone after changing the wires three times had constantly mess about with the wires to charge the phone . I went to the shop today the bloke was very helpful he said he’ll check it for me , when I went back after 20 mins he said it was just dirt he charge me for free just asked to leave review. Very thankful

I visited the Morecambe branch as my iPad had stopped working. Tyler and Isaac were friendly, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Tyler checked my iPad thoroughly and told me what was wrong and the approximate cost of repairs. I decided to buy a new one from the shop which was very competitively priced. Tyler then transferred all my data for me, all at no extra cost. I even got a free gift usb humidifier presented by Issac. From slightly stressed as my machine wasn’t working at all, it turned out the best thing I did was to go to the Morecambe Cell Base shop. In this day and age service from both was exceptional.

Had problems with my I Phone in that people couldn't hear me (Intermittently). Took it into Cell Base Hartlepool and problem was resolved in less than 5 minutes.

Having had a recommendation about Cell Base I felt confident when I went into Cell Base in Yarm to have my iPhone screen replaced. I was very confident when I left my phone and went for a coffee that my screen would have been replaced. I was embarrassed that the screen wasn’t broken at all it was the screen cover that was cracked. There wasn’t any charge but since I was there already I opted for a replacement battery which I would have had to consider later on anyway, I have a new screen cover as well. I feel I have found a place where I can be confident to recommend them, I was happy with every aspect of the service. Thank you Cell Base. Excellent service.

Terrible service. Was selling an iPhone 14 Pro, Was almost ripped off for over £100 when the guy tried to say there was “deep scratches”, I took the phone back and rubbed it a little, there were no scratches at all but he was still trying to say it wasn’t in great condition. Terribly dishonest. There wasn’t scratches, it was immaculate, and then I got over £100 more at Cash Converters. Also had a (fully working, only cracked) iPad screen fixed on the same day, got it back and 25% of the upper screen was intermittently not working. Took it back shortly after and they replaced it for free (apparently) however it still doesn’t work with the exact same issue, so they’ve either not replaced it at all, or they have replaced it incorrectly (again), or replaced it with another faulty screen. Wont go back again so have to take the £60 loss.

I purchased a mobile phone in Sep 24 it was a Christmas present for my husband. (Yes I do my Christmas shopping all year around) On Christmas day it was opened and it wasn't picking up service. Off the cuff I emailed on Christmas Day I got a reply on Boxing Day! After some emails and a phone call the phone was returned and a new device sent all within a week. I can only praise Sayed and Pete for the excellent service and communication throughout. This was an Ebay purchase. I would 100% recommend this COMPANY and will be using them again in the future. 26/11/24 had to visit cell base in Guisborough,The phone I had purchased was not very good after taking it home.I returned to sort the issue out.They could not have been more helpful, a full refund was issued with no questions.They actually put me a new battery in my old phone, to keep me going until they get a phone I want, they did not have the colour I wanted.The charge for the battery to be replaced was NOTHING, they said they like to keep the customer happy.That is just superb service.Thank you.

Went in cell base coulby newham to ask if could look at my IPad has it had suddenly died on me the previous day. Unfortunately was unable to be repaired. Went to pick it up and asked how much I owed for looking at it refused to accept anything which was really nice. Will definitely use this shop in future and recommend to family and friends. The two lads were so polite and helpful
