Where is my refund?
I am still waiting for the refund for my car park that I could not access for the JT concert on the 4th July. It has now been 5 months. Very poor organisation on the night and appalling communication with customers.

I want my money back from the JT concert! Why are you not acknowledging all of the complaints and offering refunds for those of us who couldn’t park our cars that we had pre paid for?!!!
Chelmsford City Live Friday 4th JulyI am writing this review due to the lack of communication from anyone involved in the above concert.I can not stress enough how appalling the organisation of the event was. Inside and out.It was dangerous. Too many people. How someone wasn’t injured.Staff directing people to walk across and on a dual carriageway?The lack of signage for car parking had people sitting in their cars for hours.No internet access to be able to find your friends/lifts?The absolute carnage of being blocked in a ‘car park’ field for 3 hours with 1000 of others.Disgusting treatment and shambolic.And to remove all socials with the thousands of negative comments-pitiful.Never again
I am in utter disgust on the management in and out of your Justin Timberlake event on Friday 4th July 2025. We booked this event to come and enjoy seeing Justin Timberlake with my partner and friends at your racecourse. I am absolutely disgusted that we had to wait 2.5 hours in a que to get parked in a field in which we paid £15 for. We just about got in on time to see Justin Timberlake perform. My partner got drinks and spent £35 so disgusting, £15.50 for a half bottle of wine and some cokes! When Justin had finished performing, we then left to go back to the car and leave in which we faced a disgusting 3.5 hour wait to exit the field parking, in which there was no movement from any cars to exit. This is so disgusting that the parking in and out was not managed better and we had to wait this amount of time to be parked and to leave. How has this been cleared by health and safety, fire and emergency services as 'safe' as it was not safe at all! If one of the cars set alight in the field the fire engine would not be able to get to it. There could have a medical emergency they could not access the field. I know there was several women pregnant they could have gone into labour. I have spent 5.5 hours of my time in ques getting to and from your venue, less time seeing Justin perform! I will never come to your venue ever again because of this experience. I will never recommend this venue for anything to anyone.
We attended Justin Timberlake at Chelmsford City Live and faced countless issues. Paid an additional £20 for parking only to sit in traffic for 3 hours and discover the car park was 'full' so we had to abandon our car along with 100s of other people and cross a busy A road to reach the venue. Abysmal security presence, disinterested staff, no organisation. Upon leaving we were met by rude stewards, exit closures, and a complete lack of organisation, lighting or security presence, so we had to fumble our way through pitch black fields to try and find an exit. Not only completely unsafe, had there been an emergency of any kind this could have been catastrophic.After receiving hundreds of complaints they have deleted the website and social media accounts for Chelsmford City Live. Absolutely unacceptable and they should be held to account before someone gets seriously injured at one of their events.
Zero star rating. Worst organisation of any event I’ve been to over last 30 years. 3 hours to get to the venue (journey should have taken 15 minutes. Atrociously dangerous management of traffic and crowds. 3 hours to get out of an unlit, unsignposted car park (field)No stewards, no traffic management, this was pre booked parking. They oversold the tickets without a doubt.
Never have I attended an event with such horrendous organisation, took 3 hours to get in and 2.5 hours to get out, all staff were completely untrained and uninterested....the council should remove their license to hold such events.....the event management should resign or be fired.....it was a complete shambles.
Horrendous organisation and I would suggest never ever attend an event held here. No car park organisation at all. Waited 3.5 hours until we could leave the site after 2am. In addition to the 2 hours wait to even get on. Police and Council should forbid you to ever host such events again! But looking at reviews, you cannot even manage your race parking with far less cars. Will request for refund - not paying so much money for Justin.
Zero stars not an option!Chelmsford racecourse you are an absolute disgrace.Don’t sell 8500 tickets for an event when you can even handle 4000.Queued for 2 hours to get in (live 25 minutes away) - missed first 2 races!Left before last race and sat still for an hour and still nowhere near getting out.I have been to loads of race courses and your set up is by far the worst of all those I have been too - I am never coming back!!
We had 4 tickets booked for an event at the racetrack and unfortunately my sister who is also a cancer patient become unwell and was taken back into hospital. Before the event I emailed them and explained the situation that we were not able to attend. They then said they could not help unless I provided evidence that my sister was in hospital, which I did. After numerous emails back and forth with Shonney P, i was passed on to the head of customer services Jo F and i have only been offered a credit for my sisters ticket only???????????? I am now in the process of giving my sisters ticket to the managing director as I feel their need is more than mine. If booking tickets be a 100% sure that you do not become ill as you do not want to go through what I just have with them. And if you do provide proof of illness, don't expect any compassion from the customer service team here as you will get none.Zero customer service, absolutely disgusting.
Lovely chilled out afternoon at chelmsford racecourse yesterday. Ticket only cost £5.00 each. Staff were very pleasant, lady who did grill went extra mile and took our food to our table also lady tidying up took time to speak to us and others especially a man who had mental health problems. I understand it was the cancelled Redcar horse racing meeting. Very enjoyable and food was good as well. Only a couple of miles away as well.
Myself and 5 guests attended Ladies Day in June. Unfortunately the service and tickets we purchased were not as sold nor of acceptable standard. I am so disappointed and appalled by the response from Chelmsford Race Course that I feel I need to share my experience so that others are aware.We booked tickets for the Queen Charlotte Marquee tickets £173 each.The staff where untrained and totally unaware of the days agenda. The bad experience began with the Canapes, our table was missed numerous times, when finally we were served and we asked what was in them ... we were told Chocolate?? they where Pate. Some had Prawns on top... we had two people with shelfish allergies on our table. Which upon arrival was noted by the Front of house team and again asked by table staff pre the meal. We should not have had prawns on the plate-The food was served cold, not everyone was served on our table at the same time. Sometimes we had guests waiting 20- 25min for food, so others were finished.- Plates were being cleared before some guests had recieved there meal. - Plates were also being cleared and you had not finished or placed your knife and fork down on the plate- Tea & Coffee was served cup and plate - not saucer. The waiter accidentally spilt the milk on the table and a guest. He did not return to clear it up or help my friend wipe herself he just made it clear he was angry it had hit his shoes.- When serving the Coffee the staff were pouring it towards us and had to be shown how to pour without splashing it into the cups.- Cheese and BIscuits where served buffet style but there was not enough for all guests- At 5.30pm when the Queen Charlotte closed ,we should of had a private area (Gold Circle) and access to a private bar to watch the band and Dj, this was stated on the ticket. After asking many members of staff, the area did not exsist.This company hosts many events throughout the year and therefore I would expect a much better level of service. I did write a letter of complaint to the Customer service team who assume we wish to return. They have ignored the fact there was parts of this day we paid for and did not recieve and therefore where mis-sold.I will not be returning to this venue nor recommending it.
Our Uncle took us for the day yesterday, what an amazing day it was too! Every member of staff were exceptional! They couldn’t do enough for you they went above & beyond! We had a 3 course meal which was excellent! We will definitely be going back! I don’t usually write reviews but we had such an amazing experience I felt that every member of staff deserves the recognition!!!!
Went to the Bavarian event today as a horse owner - the day out was amazing until the end - we went to watch the band at the end - entered the section to watch the Bavarian band - was told at entry was only silver band holders were allowed - I asked what about owners are they allowed - he didn’t know and let us in - 5 mins later was asked to leave - which was very embarrassing- I would be more understanding if it was a well know artist but let’s be fair never heard of them and you would assume owning a horse would have a higher recognition than paying a few quid extra for a wristband - we left early and based on that experience wouldn't attend anther Chelmsford event. A lot of money is spent on owning a horse and to be thrown out of the area was shocking
Rip off wrist band system to buy drinks makes it inconvenient, time consuming and expensive for customers. the reclaim system has a hidden fee and is difficult to navigate.
