inadvertently got stuck EZ Road…
We inadvertently got stuck with EZ Road Moving and storage by going through their scam of a “partner” Northern Relocation. We moved cross country and our items sat in their warehouse for a full month before hitting the road and our calls and emails were ignored or deflected. We also have several items missing. We would have checked the truck more thoroughly but the driver was “in a rush and needed to get to the next stop”. The truck looked like it hadn’t maintained in decades was filled to the brim with other peoples stuff that they crammed in haphazardly to save money by only sending one truck. One of the worst companies we’ve ever dealt with as a customer and a terrible start to our new life in our new city.

The absolute worse movers ever
The absolute worse movers ever. They hire people on the fly who are definitely not professional movers. One day I got some lost teenagers moving my things cluelessly to the truck and the next day some big older guy moving things by himself. Then the move happened while a snowstorm was happening in the Midwest. Instead of letting the storm pass like I asked, they hired some clueless teenagers who dropped boxes and other item in multiple feet high snow. They also left things in the yard and garage because they did not know how to remove doors to make more room for larger items. So multiple items were left outside of the home instead of inside the home. Protective cloths were removed while moving items which led to items being scratched or broken. I was charged extra for large boxes that they put sofa pillows and packing cloths inside of. Just about the worst moving experience ever. I tried to communicate my frustrations with them via email and they offered a pitiful $100 to try and please me. This after I paid over 6k for the long distance move. This company is a joke and definitely does not value their customers or employees. They also did not give the movers a place to spend the night. As they told us they were gonna sleep in the truck or warehouse. Definitely 0 stars if it was possible.

I wish I could leave ZERO stars
I wish I could leave ZERO stars. This was the worst service experience of my life. They literally destroyed my furniture when they moved it and then refused to make it right. They grossly mishandled absolutely everything. And they accept NO responsibility. They lie & scam and they insist on cash payments so that you won't know you're getting scammed until it's too late to do anything about it. These people are awful! Please do not hire this company, you will regret it!

DO NOT USE EASY ROAD MOVING AND…
DO NOT USE EASY ROAD MOVING AND STORAGE!!!NOT at all a professional moving company. Move from FL to MD. Booked the move through Vanity Van Lines - figured that was who was conducting the move. Easy Road moving shows up on 2/10 - late in the day, packed items; re-boxed items throwing items into larger boxes. I had exact box count - which for the movers didn't appear to needed. Cubic feet is what was needed. We left things behind. They didn't have the list of items - Vanity sent over another list, they didn't get it, used the list I had. Pounding boxing around nothing professional about loading the items. Also, didn't realize items were going to be delivered to a WH in Miami to then get loaded into a truck at a later date for delivery. Get to MD deliver 16 days later, driver shows up LATE, by himself, states helpers are on the way. Never show, he starts unloading small boxes waiting for helpers, never show, has to come back next day, LATE, helpers finally show, find out they are not "professional movers" but are landscapers, to which you could tell. Many items busted up; furniture broken; boxes wet and smashed. You are at their mercy nothing can be done. They charge you more then what was agreed upon. You accept your broken items - they leave. File a claim through third part claim company, to only receive letter that explains nothing of how they determined the amount of $75 to be sent to me - after missing extra day of work; receiving extra charges; receiving broken items. We the customer are at the their mercy. They win. If you want something done right do it yourself, don't pay someone thousands of dollars it is so not worth it - this company was so not worth it. Stay clear of them; Stay clear of Vanity Van lines.

Acting like scammers
Acting like scammers. They provided a nice estimate, but when a truck came, they wanted to charge 700 more claiming that I have more items. When I showed them my estimate with a list of items exactly the same as I have to load, they said that cubic feet were calculated incorrectly by them when providing my quote! So, they were sure that I have to pay $700 for their mistakes. I had to leave some of items because of it.They promised to deliver on November 8th. On November 18th (10 days later, they called saying they come "tomorrow" and asked for more money. After I paid no one appeared next day and whole next week. So it was pure lie and scam. Thus, in total I paid more than normal moving company would take and I have no idea where my stuff is.

Thankful
Wanted to share my experience with Easy Road Moving and Storage. I used them last minute when my movers did not show up. I had reserved my truck over a month prior with the first company. I had the apartment complex elevator reserved. I put effort into being prepared and I was left panicked. I called about 7 other companies immediately and unfortunately there were no trucks available. One of the company’s representatives recommended trying Easy Road Moving and Storage. I called them immediately and Empathized the urgency of my situation. They were my miracle. The dispatcher had the movers come to my house the next day at 7am. I had a two bedroom apartment which was mostly packed by myself. The movers did box up my flat screen television and a full length mirror. They wrapped my sofa with blankets. The crew manager was very nice and polite. I thanked them tremendously. The movers dropped off all my stuff the next week. It was kinda like having my own interior decorators because they placed my sofa and furniture where I wanted. That really made my new house into a home. The mirror and television were in one piece! I wanted to share this positive experience because it is hard to find a reliable company that puts pride into their work. I am truly grateful for this company’s professionalism and efficiency.

They did a great job and handled…
They did a great job and handled everything with care. I have moved a few times and it's important to make sure you tell them about every single thing you have and HAVE IT READY. We did that and they moved fast, and with great care. It was a local move, which is easier for sure, but highly reccomend.

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!!
WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! ! DON’T USE! DON’T HIRE! They contract with Easy Road Movers, and I hold them equally responsible. They gave me multiple reminders of when they’d be coming to pick up my things, and then they neither showed up nor called/texted to let me know they couldn’t make it. I had to wait an additional 3 days. I lost my $500 deposit at an AirB&B I’d reserved, and despite saying they’d refund this they never did. Then I called to schedule my delivery and the dispatcher said that she’d schedule for my things to leave from Storage on the 16th to be delivered on the 19th. I double checked twice to make sure they wouldn’t deliver before the 19th, knowing I’d be in another state and wouldn’t be able to let them in. The person kept saying my things wouldn’t get there before the 19th and I didn’t need to worry. Then my things arrived on the 16th and I had to pay an extra fee on top of needing to hire someone else to move my things out of the storage space in which they had to put my belongings. They won’t tell me where my belongings are without paying, and now I’ve paid but they still haven’t told me. They took my belongings hostage. It takes a lot to make me angry, but they succeeded. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Ever.

This is an awful operation
This is an awful operation. Seems as if every review that’s any good is fake.

***Do NOT hire Easy Road***
It would be a disservice to my community, if I don’t share the nightmare I experienced with this company. Easy Road picked up my belongings on Sunday December 19th, 2021. I finally received it in pieces, 2 months later on February 18th, 2022.I was charged for things themselves admitted not to have used. My furniture is in pieces, incomplete. Unable to be assembled because of the missing parts. To the point that the delivery crew, (a different company because Easy Road won’t be the one one delivering your stuff), had the need to hand write that the bed and desk are not available to use because it can’t be assembled for missing parts. They also had to write that the dresser has a hole and scratches “bookcase is missing screw” They had to write all that at the bottom of the delivery inventory sheet. I wish I could upload photos for you to see the mattress, metal and pieces of wood all part of the bed leaning agains the wall in my apartment. The guy giving you the quote will be nice and helpful to you until you signed the contract. After that, when you really are in need of his help, all you will get from him will be an automatic reply “I am out of the office this week. Please contact customer care at 954-323-8181”He won’t even answer his direct line.Meanwhile, the “customer care” area, has not knowledge of the meaning of customer service. I was told, “I’ll find out about your truck and I will call you back.”, but the call was never returned. Instead, they hanged-up on me numerous times. I even wrote an email to the admin, but they never had the decency to reply. In short, keep looking. This company should change its name to Easy Road to a Nightmare.

Do not do business
Do not do business. No real complaints with the quality of the movers themselves. Origin crew used our tools to disassemble furniture without asking. They loaded items we told them we were not taking. They over billed us on the number of boxes causing our price to almost double. Confirmed 47 boxes, billed for 87. Multiple Facebook reviews indicate they are notorious for this. We left behind quite a few large items from our original quote such as beds, multiple tables, etc , but we still somehow doubled the move. Estimate had 40 boxes. Destination delivery consisted of 1 man with no help. We ended up unloading most of the truck off the ramp ourselves. Had 2 damaged items, including an antique piece, and was given a link to a 3rd party for claims, who keeps stating they aren't receiving my claim even with my printed confirmation of receipt. I have a feeling the claim is a lost cause. I have spoken with Marcus at Easy Road twice now on my dispute over the # of boxes they claim we had. Both times he said management wasn't in yet and they would call me, but no one does. No resolution via email either. Have disputed charges with bank. The only time they have responded was through my BBB complaint, in which they are basically calling me a liar, claiming they did speak with me to resolve. They have now deleted their Facebook page. I can only assume due to the 1 star rating they had because of complaints. 2 months later I am still waiting for a response from the 3rd party company on my damages.

MOVING SCAM. HOSTAGE TAKERS.
They will provide you a low estimate, and then double or triple your costs. They will surprise you with this on delivery. They will demand full payment for partial shipments. They will hold your belongings hostage, and charge you a redelivery fee. They have no interest in delivering your stuff until attorneys and the Department of Transportation is involved. They will lie to your face about who owns the company.Do not give these people your money or belongings; you may never see either again. Do not agree to any estimate without a physical survey; it's bait and switch. Do not agree to pay by cash or money order on delivery; the bank cannot hold them accountable. Do not sign any documents; they will modify them after your signature.Do not fall victim to these scammers. If you have been scammed by Easy Road Moving and Storage, please file a complain with the FMCSA, the BBB, the FTC, and Florida Attorney General.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!!!!I have moved several times but I have never had an experience like I just had with Easy Road Movers. I was moving my 87 year old mother from a residence in Florida to a senior citizen residence in Yonkers. First I was given an estimate for the move. After the truck was loaded, the price more than doubled. Because this was an interstate move, the items were placed in storage until a truck could be filled. When the furniture was delivered 3 weeks later, the truck showed up 2.5 hours later than expected, demanded full payment before they would even open the truck, multiple items were irreparably damaged, the furniture was dumped into the new residence without unpacking or unwrapping heavy furniture, the delivery persons refused to reassemble items or put heavy items in their proper places and then after 2 hours, claimed hunger and had to leave. They even refused to break down a wardrobe box so that I could retrieve items from the bottom of the box. Not only did they leave the apartment a mess, they left debris and garbage in the apartment and the hallway of the building.

I had to move back to NYC from Miami…
I had to move back to NYC from Miami and I spoke to Easy movers to help me with that. We went over the amount of furniture in my 2 bedroom apartment and they gave me a very competitive price. The day of the move 3 movers showed up. Took apart all of the furniture and wrapped them in blankets. Once they arrived in new York they put together all of the furniture and then placed everything exactly where I wanted it. No damages and stress free! I definitely recommend them if you are looking for professional movers

Move to Cleveland
This company moved my family and I to Cleveland, Ohio from Fort Lauderadale, FL. After hearing many horror stories about moves going sour I was hesitant to even use a company but with my bad back I had no choice. I took over 10 estimates and felt the most comfortable with Shawn from Easy Road Moving and Storage because of his honesty and explaining everything to me. Movers did a great job packing up my items and then re assembling upon delivery. This company is 10 stars!!

Very Professional - Thank you

Nothing was broken or damaged and their timing was perfect!! I heard horror stories about moving companies, but for me, it was a very good experience!
