Unfriendly employees, many extremely rootbound plants that never survive..
I have been to the Farmington road location many times over the past few years and I'm done. All the times I've been there, the employees ignore you or are just plain unfriendly. Much of their native plants (which they have a very paltry selection of) are horrible and half dead, even during the prime season for them, which is unfortunate to see. I have bought so many plants from them and most have died or simply don't thrive, even in the ideal conditions. Pretty much all of them were VERY rootbound to the point where you have to cut your plastic pot to get your plant out. They should have been transplanted to larger pots MONTHS prior or sold at a discount a season or two prior, before they got that bad! It is very disappointing to see the quality of the plants' roots.I have since visited several more fairly local nurseries and even other West Coast online nurseries and their plants are so much better, so much healthier, especially the natives. Most of the plants from these other nurseries have not only survived but thrive. Imagine that! I feel dumb for continuing to buy from here for as long as I did but didn't realize there were so many better nurseries out there. Please check out other nurseries in the Portland/Willamette area instead. Save yourself the time and disappointment.
