Fibaro, terrible support service!

Customer with Fibaro for 15 years. Very complex installation with around 1000 devices. I'm computers engineer so I don't need usually support or advice but when you deal with a defect on the product and require support there is no answer. Support has become terrible after Nice acquisition. Think twice to use their products because you won't get any support from them.

no customer support

no customer support. if you want any service from fibaro, you need to send your product to Poland with no promise of any solution. Products states to last 8 years, but breaks in 2 years. Never, ever Fibaro.

Item out of stock

I was notified that the item I ordered was out of stock and I have asked many times to get them to refund the money back to my account and I have the order number and everything associated with the order. They continue to ask me to choose another item, and I don't want another item. I want the 82 dollars and change refunded to my account...immediately. They are stealing from an elderly woman on a fixed income. Shoppers Beware!! Please don't steal my money from me and refund the money for order number FA27607 back into my account...PLEASE!!!

I'm with Fibaro since 2015

I'm with Fibaro since 2015. My big house is still controlled by Fibaro Home Center 2 (HC2). My system has 116 z-wave devices, mostly made by Fibaro. System is running my UHAS (Universal Home Automation System) that has 102 scenes and 149 Virtual Devices (VD). I can't say that it is always honey & milk, but system is working 98% of the time as expected with just occasional little problems of which most are probably caused by my own code.I'm now working on transferring my system to HC3. HC3 is in many ways much better than HC2, but Fibaro is still actively working on its software. Yes, it does take long time for HC3 software to mature, but same as they managed to make HC2 very stable system, I still believe they will do the same with HC3.In all this years I contacted Fibaro support only once and get proper support. Thank you Fibaro!

Horrendous customer service

Horrendous customer service. I have been using the Fibaro HC2 and later HC3 for 3 years now. Overall I am fairly happy with the system in spite of a steep learning curve. I decided to expand the system and needed guidance on which product to use, i called customer support and waited 10 minutes before just being disconnected. I called again and was connected to an "expert", which turned out to be a confused young woman with literally 0 knowledge around Fibaro. She started asking questions about my system without even hearing my question and then asked me to send a screenshot of a wall switch and promised to get back to me, which would have ended in nothing as she had still not heard my request.I managed to stop the interaction and reset it and asked a simple question even providing their OWN product names and numbers for her to choose from to which she answered "I do not know these products". Biggest waste of time in my life.

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs.I've had a fibaro HC2 for probably 10 years. I bought one after learning about Z-Wave and its promise for advanced home automation. It was unusual in its ability to send two-way communications and create a mesh network. This sounded brilliant. I invested hundreds and hundreds of £s in the system. Some of it sort of worked, but it was difficult to do anything useful with and Fibaro was always very slow in supporting products other than their own - and you need them to implement support in their controller for other devices to work.I really wanted this product and eco system to work but in truth, Fibaro turned me off z-wave and despite spending many, many hours trying to get a Fibaro home automation network running on their flagship Home Centre 2 to work, in the end I just gave up and left the system to slowly deteriorate over time, reverting back to either manual control over devices or, as new options became available, such as Alexa and Philips Hue, I moved over to them. Now years later, after forgetting the previous pain of trying to use Fibaro, I went and purchased some new devices with the intention of getting the automation aspect of the house back in shape. Big mistake, several more wasted days and more wasted money. The system, even after all these years of development time, is still and difficult to use, flakey mess. It just can't do even basic home automation stuff reliably, it can't keep track of its own sensors and it only really achieves the exact opposite of what you want from home automation - hours of frustrated wasted time trying to get it to work.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. I have a hard time imagine the people who run this company. I think they hate their costumers. I think they never heard about the word "user-friendly" or "service-minded". It is impossible to understand how to use the devices from this company from hell. Even worse is the Fibero ID! I am a multiple Microsoft product specialist, meaning I know pretty much about information technology but I have never experienced something so bad as Fibaro in my whole life. Do not touch anything from this company!!! I am so frustrated after trying to get some useful information from this them, I almost get a heart attack. I have to throw their smoke sensors in the trashcan and buy new ones from another company. When they create false alarms in the middle of the night, you wonder if their own staff use these fire alarms. I doubt it. Of course, there is no possibility to get fast support. You have to submit a support question and wait a number of business days for a response. I will never again buy anything from this company.

Problems and bad customer service

Had problems with my HC Lite sins from I started using it, and he box completely failed a few weeks ago. I was first told by Fibaro Support that I had a cloud backup I could upload to a new unit and purchase a new HC3. But no, they obviously don't know their products at the Support center and it turn out a upload can't be done after all..STAY CLEAR OF FIBARO IS MY RECOMMENDATION!

Terrible system

Terrible system. Very difficult to control the heating , does weird random things like open and close the windows all night , been over 2 years getting the installer to come back , switches look fancy but after a while one by one they stop working. Want to replace it and actually would prefer just normal switches wherever possible. Do not buy unless your idea of fun is to spend your free time trying to program and fix something that will never work.

Liars

Liars. Bought a CO sensor because "it can work with SmartThings" but it will show only the temperature, no CO2 levels!!! When I wrote to support I've got "Only fibaro is not the creator of these handlers, but SmartThings users.". No support, only stolen handlers!

They have a 5-star support

I have been a customer of Fibaro for about a year and they have really listened to the previous complaints regarding their customer service quality. Since earlier this year, when I again contacted them, they provide a 5-star support service. They have been very fast in answering any email (within 1 or 2 hours) and they really spend the time needed to fix your issue.Well done Fibaro. I hope other companies take after your highly improved support quality.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company! Their Z-wave products always look good and glossy but every single one I have purchased (Home centre lite, RGBW 441 and 442, implant) has had issues, some admitted by Fibaro and never fixed. Others not working as per the instructions or completely failing/corrupted.

Fibaro - bad system with no support

Our Fibaro installation by a licensed contractor has been plagued by issues and system faults. They have changed the head unit 3 times and we still have faults and random things happening. We approached Fibaro International for warranty but were curtly told to deal with the local contractor who was at fault. We are left with no support or capacity to make a warranty claim. The system looks good and sounds good ... but is deeply flawed ! Do not buy it.

Awful hopeless system.

I’m currently looking at getting rid of our Fibaro system. It’s never worked properly. You can only update from an computer, I can’t update from the app and now I can’t connect to my hub. If you turn The lights on with the wall switch it’s pretty random whether they will work or not. They switch on randomly after being turned off, or not switch on at all without dozens of times flicking the switches. My electrician eventually gave up and said he had no idea why it was doing this. Their tech support shows no interest in my issues. They’re in Poland, why should they care? Changing the password is a nightmare and once charged the app generally won’t recognise the new password. Only one person seems to be able to have the app loaded and password working. If I load it on my wife’s phone, my app won’t let me in anymore and vice versa. It’s just hopeless and I regret getting it installed.

I have had a couple of Fibaro products…

I have had a couple of Fibaro products for the last year, Intelligent radiator thermostats and they have worked very well. rechargeable batteries & remote temperature sensing. In fact they have worked so well I derided to extend to other parts of the house by purchasing a Fibaro Home Centre 2 and most of the insulation has gone very well. The Fibaro Motion sensors are another matter as I can only attach 1 out of the 4 I purchased to the HC2 these are combined PIR, temp and light and if I can't get them to work everything else dose not and I have just wasted £2000.Any help will be greatly received.
