CUSTOMERS BEWARE. FOOD CITY new clean nice helpful workers but THEIR REGISTERS cheat. YOu have to watch the monitor that shows what you bought situated over the registers BEEECAUSE. they cheat. I bought blueries buy one get one..NOOOO the registered charged me for BOTH. and I kept looking and there was a SALE on FOOD CLUB PETITE TOMATOES for SUPPOSED TO BE .59 CENTS...so I got two...the register monitor showed .99 EACH...and I said HEY, they are supposed to be .59 Cents but the fine print says you gotta buy 12 cans to get for 59 cents each WHAT A JOKE..who buys 12 cans of petite tomatoes at one time anyway. SO BEWARE BEWARE, if you continue to go there - watch the monitor and be sure you are not being cheated. I bought a roasted chicken and it was $8.99 for the tiniest tiny little pathetic chicken WHHHAT $9.00 for a tiny roasted chicken. If you are looking to save money DO NOT GO TO FOOD CITY. SENIOR CITIZENS beware, watch the monitor to see what you are being charged. I will never go back there. =- CHEATERS. is all

no cashier
i went to check out i had about 100 dollars in my cart got check out no cashier to check me out.i look around and there was three cashier stand at the service counter talking nobody made a move to come to check me out this was at ft payne store.looks like people not doing there job ? bad for business

Sat Jun 14 2025 Gadsden, AL. Appox 4:00 -5:00 pm I went to the deli no lines, four deli employees looked right me a offered no help, then the 4th employee out (I'm still looking at the chicken) these 2 ladies talking amongst themselves, pickup container fixing plates. WTH, I had been standing there for a good 3.5 - 4 mins, both of them looked me. The manager when I went to speak to him, said we'll walk over to deli with me they will wait on you with me standing with you. Mind blowing! Not worries deli I ill go to Publix or Johnson's food stores. Please look at your cameras and tell me I'm wrong, you don't have BAD customer service.

Parking scam
I went there four years ago and ended up with a parking ticket as did many people before and after me. So many people can not be dishonest in telling their stories. I warn everyone not to go there. It is a set up. I have not returned there for four years now. This kind of treating customers simply disgusts me. Any suggestions to improve signage are always ignored.

My wife registered for an online account with Food City. She ordered a Gift Cart as a thanksgiving gift and asked her son-in-law to pick it up at the Calhoun Georgia store. The charge for the gift card was already taken out of her account. They refused to give the gift card to her son-in-law and said that a gift card was not able to be purchased online to prevent scams. They took her money---who is the scammer here?

Not what it used to be.
Food City is owned by greedy people. It used to be a wonderful place to shop but that died with the founder. They treat their employees badly and that is then funneled to the consumer. Every time I have walked in a FC store I can feel the terrible energy of the place. Love of money is evil.

For all you people who live in prestonsburg..Don't use foodcity's western union..I tried to use an international transfer and they were all up in my business about the person I was sending to..Just because it was international..What ever happened to that saying..., the customer is always right..Sorry foodcity..., but that was not right the way you all treated me about western union...I'm a customer!
