Ordered $1000 worth of items

Ordered $1000 worth of items . Packages got held up by DHL. Been trying to get a hold of customer service since last year and nothing. Only the shipper can open a dispute with DHL. I am so frustrated and mad. This is not how you do business with people.

Customer Service never responded to emails

I ordered my Harry's Broetchen last Friday. I went to make an order using Paypal and the website said it could not process the order. I tried again using Paypal and got the same error. So I tried one more time using direct credit card payment and the order went through. Then I got emails from Paypal saying that the first two orders were processed. I sent an email to Germanfoods customer service that night asking them to cancel 2 of the orders and NEVER got a response. So, I followed up Monday with another email and again got no response. And today I get notice that all 3 shipments are being shipped. So now I have to try and find room in the freezer for 12 6 packs of broetchen! Not to ,mention paying for 3 separate shipping charges!

The only thing that have an issue with, is no tracking number.

I placed an order on October 18th

I placed an order on October 18th, 2025, as of November 11th, 2025, I still did not get my shipment. I wrote 3 emails to the customer service and did not get any answer as of yet. Terrible service, I will have to do a chargeback to get my money back.

Time from the order to shipping was…

Time from the order to shipping was more than a month. No notification. After the shipping was initiated it took another week until the shipper received the order.

Reasonable prices and quick shipping

My mother's favourite chocolates are German and hard to find in the UK without paying extortionate prices. Took a chance on this website as I saw a box for a reasonable price (Inc shipping), ordered on the 10th and they arrived today. Very happy with my purchase.

Don’t always listen to reviews I took the chance after seeing the reviews I was a bit skeptical about it but the order came within 7days they kept me updated a lot and it was shipped very quickly This is a great brand, there items are great too go ahead and order! I will definitely be ordering again

Absolutely brilliant

Absolutely brilliant. As soon as I placed the order got a reply confirming the order. Within two to three days the order was dispatched and I was given my tracking number which was perfect. The items that I have ordered have got long expiry dates which is perfect. I will be ordering regularly from you guys from now on. I am a German living in UK and I was missing all these beautiful chocolates and groceries. your prices are good to please keep the hanuta and brandt swieback at these lower priced discount as the price for hanuta is okey currently discounted, but if the discounts goes then that price will be too much, please keep the hanuta at £3.54 please if you can make it cheaper that would be wonderful as i buy in bulk thank you so much for your service

Very impressed with service and products

I was really worried when I had placed my order as had read the reviews here when I hadn't received any email confirmation. However, I emailed customer service and they got back to me straight away and confirmed the date the parcel would be arriving. A couple of products were out if stock and got the refund and confirmation straight away. The delivery arrived on time and I was pleased with all the products many if which were part of Christmas presents. Really impressed with this company and will definitely be using again

I ordered $200 of pasta sauce

I ordered $200 of pasta sauce, it was being delivered by DHL, I received an email my order was in the area, then nothing. I contacted germanfoods.shop about the order and they said contact DHL. DHL said only the shipper can file a claim for lost package, now germanfoods.shop is not responding to my emails.

Super fast shipping!

Reviewing cause the reviews I red bellow really made me hesitant to buy on this website. I ordered on 11/1 and received my order on 11/7 (USA), so that was quite fast! The package wasn’t super well protected but it arrived in perfect condition, so no complain. I might order from them again.

Order not shipping.

Ordered on October 8 and the order status is "Paid" since then with nothing shipped. It is October 22 now. They did not respond to an inquiry about my order days ago. Something is up ...

No customer support

I asked the customer support whether they can send to Estonia, they confirmed and reply was instant.Ordered and paid through paypal, no confirmation after payments has been received.I asked whether they have received the money and no reply. And I write everything in German, so this is not a language issue.

so far 9/10 would recommend

i ordered from germanfood.shop and although it took them 9 days to give me my tracking info i was so excited to see i saw some horror stories from people on here that made me terrified to place an order but i wanted the item so bad i risked it anyway and im so glad i did cuz it paid off! i haven't gotten my order yet but i have received tracking and that makes me feel better. so if you want to order from these guys i recommend just giving them time to do there job and get the package out for shipping.

Besonders gut - Exceptionally great

Was soll ich sagen? Ich habe am Freitag, 15.12. den Shop entdeckt. Ich wohne seit 2011 in Frankreich und es gibt doch so einiges, was ich vermisse.Ich habe mir gedacht, warum nicht schnell noch für Weihnachten etwas bestellen. Ich habe dann schnell wahllos aus verschiedenen Rubriken (Süsses, Backzutaten, Filinchen etc.) bestellt, was mir zuerst aufgefallen ist. Und natürlich frischen Klosteig für die Gans zu Weihnachten, Fleischsalat und Maultaschen.Ich habe keine Auftragsbestätigung erhalten. Und als ich mich Montag aus welchen Gründen auch immer nicht ins Kundenkonto einloggen konnte, habe ich bei Trustpilot nachgesehen und ein bisschen Angst bekommen, denn es gibt hier viele negative Bewertungen.Peinlicherweise habe ich dann auch noch an den Support geschrieben und sogar die negativen Bewertungen erwähnt. Das tut mir inzwischen sehr leid. Ich habe darauf übrigens gestern eine supernette Antwort bekommen.Ich habe meine Ware heute erhalten. Sie wurde gestern abgeschickt und da habe ich auch die Rechnung und Versandbestätigung bekommen.Meine Ware war ausschliesslich frisch, das Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum ist total OK. Die Kühlpads in der Verpackung für die gekühlte Ware war sogar noch gefroren.Ich habe Expresslieferung als Versandtart gewählt. Das war ein aussergewöhnlicher Service. Meine Ware kam direkt vom Flughafen in Lyon, der etwa 2 Stunden entfernt liegt, per Expressboten zu mir geliefert. Für einen solchen Service und die gute Ware, die ich so vermisse, nehme ich die Extrakosten gerne in Kauf!Ich werde mit Sicherheit nun jeden Monat etwas bestellen. Und ich habe den Shop auch schon meinem Sohn, der in den USA wohnt, empfohlen.Also bitte nicht von den negativen Bezertungen beeindrucken lassen! Keine Sorgen machen, wenn Ihr erst mal nichts hört und vielleicht darüber nachdenken, ob es vielleicht sinnvoller ist eine teurere Lieferoption zu wählen. I ordered randomly from different categories (sweets, baking ingredients, Filinchen, etc.), everything I noticed first. And of course fresh dumpling dough for the goose at Christmas, meat salad and Maultaschen.I have not received an order confirmation. And when I couldn't log into my customer account on Monday for whatever reason, I checked Trustpilot and got a little scared because there are a lot of negative reviews here.Embarrassingly, I also wrote to support and even mentioned the negative reviews. I'm very sorry about that now. By the way, I got a super nice answer to that yesterday.I received my goods today. It was sent yesterday and I also received the invoice and shipping confirmation.My goods were exclusively fresh, the best before date is totally OK. The cooling pads in the packaging for the chilled goods were even still frozen.I have chosen Express Delivery as the shipping method. That was an exceptional service. My goods were delivered to me directly from the airport in Lyon, which is about 2 hours away, by express courier. For such service and the great goods that I miss so much, I'm happy to accept the extra costs!I will definitely be ordering something every month now. And I have already recommended the shop to my son, who lives in the USA.So please don't be impressed by the negative reviews! Don't worry if you don't hear anything at first and maybe think about whether it might make more sense to choose a more expensive delivery option. And of course have a little patience, especially at peak times! In return you get the good goods that you miss so much.

Botched order, no customer service

I placed an order on October 24st. On October 30th, I had to refuse the delivery of my order because the shipping box was open, and the Nutella advent calender inside the box was severely damaged (the bottom of the calender was ripped completely open, and several doors were open as well. As the advent calenders were bought as gifts, I can not give the Nutella calender as a present in this state. The advent calenders were also packaged in a box that was much too small, which I'm sure has contributed to the damage. I've been trying to reach their customer service for days, but they don't answer their phone and they don't answer e-mails and messages sent through the form on their website. In the meantime, the Nutella calender has doubled in price on their website! I would like to receive my order undamaged. I don't want my money back, I just want to receive the products I ordered for the price that I ordered them at.
