They made it so easy to build our home.

We recently built a large family home with GJ Gardner West Auckland, and the entire experience was fantastic. Right from the start, my wife felt that they listened to every one of her needs which made the experience ideal. We were looking for a custom home that suited our family - my wife, our two teenage sons, and myself. My wife and I had never built before and felt overwhelmed at the start in terms of getting a great design. This turned out to be an easy, wonderful experience. GJ West encouraged us to come up with a wish list of our dream features for our new home. When we started tabling these features the designer took very clear notes of what we were talking about and told us to come back in five days. When we returned the designer had 3 designs for us so we could see our vision on paper. It was important to all of us that we each had our own space while also having shared spaces that bring us together. Our final design incorporated everything that we had wished for in our home. My wife loves cooking and entertaining is very important to us. The different concept designs we were shown reflected different layouts for kitchen, living and dining. The final selection has resulted in a wonderful designer kitchen, large dining and living spaces. Outdoor living was also a high priority for us and the free-flowing kitchen to the outdoor space makes everything flow seamlessly. Attention to detail was very evident throughout the process. The design team incorporated two colour joinery (ALTUS joinery. flax black on the outside the same colour as the roof and appliance white on the inside the same colour as the interior paint). These are the sorts of details that really stand GJ West apart. When we were in the market nobody gave us this type of option. The subcontractor that impressed us so much was the painter. They provided expert advice on the paint type which has resulted in a very high-end finish. The house flows from one room to the other with a combination of beautiful oak floors, tiles and carpet that work cohesively and beautifully together. The construction process was excellent, and the build went quickly. We received weekly updates and photographs from the Project Manager. The team was fantastic at walking us through the potential impacts of any changes, ensuring we kept everything balanced and didn’t compromise other aspects of the home. Any changes were effortless and easy. The attention to detail, quality, and speed were exactly as promised. The thoughtful design (with great options for every feature), outstanding build quality, and the team’s dedication to delivering on time and within budget truly set GJ Gardner West Auckland apart.I couldn’t recommend the team at GJ Gardner West Auckland enough!

Putting up “G.J Gardner Homes Coming…

Putting up “G.J Gardner Homes Coming Soon” signs when you do not even have council approval to build yet, an utterly dishonest company, I don’t know how people who do things like this sleep at night.

GJ Gardner Shoalhaven is negligent

GJ built two houses for us and a few months after completion one of our houses was completely flooded. This was due to the plumber not crimping the upstairs bath pipe and the builder and plumber not pressure testing the bath. The plumber also didn’t do the storm water piping correctly so our sub division was rejected by council. They made a huge mess of our garden and grass when correcting the storm water piping. The saddest part is we built two houses, they promised us a particular product, the house is brand new and is then ruined by a flood they caused. GJ offer us nothing not even an apology and throw their plumber under the bus. The plumber that works for their company. Its not good enough to not deliver on the product you pay for which they ruin without fixing it.GJ have not made any attempts to address this issue at all. Its been a terrible experience that GJ could be that negligent.

Highly recommend

We have just completed our second build with GJ & have nothing but amazing feedback. They have been nice, helpful and a breeze to build with both times. Would highly recommend. They have also been very helpful after the build when we have needed a few things fixed. (also not their fault)Thanks heaps to the NP team, we love our new home.

Gj Gardner Doesn't deserve the one star!!!

Gj Gardner Doesn't even deserve the one star!!! Most trusted builder in NZ??? What a load of garbage! We made the mistake of trusting them to build our family home but just ended up with bad memories and a house we don’t love. The memory i have on hand over is my wife crying on the floor, they don’t care about customer satisfaction only money. Poor workmanship couldn’t even make the hallway wall straight! The roof has supports loose and when cleaning up at the end just scattered stones and debris all over the lawn and covered it all with dirt, took months to remove all the cover sheets buried under it all and all the stones.Run away don’t look back!! Built in the Manawatu head office Palmerston North, I talked to one of the staff that now works for bunnings and they informed me exactly what they think and say about their customers behind their backs! And one of those customers was us! Hence our review 4 years later, so many people i have talked to have bad experiences with GJ i have no idea where they get the “Most trusted builder” from I highly recommend you steer clear from them.

Sophia from GJ Ravenhall is fantastic

Sophia from GJ Ravenhall is fantastic. The service we have received from her throughout the 2 years we've been flipping back and forth on what we should do has been second to none, she's the best in the construction industry and we're so lucky to have found her. Trustworthy, professional, looks after her clients well - what an honor to have met an amazing human during our journey. Grateful for you Sophia!!! - Joseph and Joanne

I previously owned a gjgardner…

I previously owned a gjgardner franchise They have no interest in home building an are only interested in the franchising business. They charge 4% of the contract for the privilege. So basically you are paying an extra 4% for a brand that will have nothing to do with you if things go wrong. If you are thinking of buying in ,ask about the get out clauses. You'll find there is none of you look closely. You will simply be a branch manager caring all the risk ,and I mean ALL the risk which will be personal risk ie your family home👍Stay away if you love your kids 🙏🙏🙏

GJ Gardner Homes Noosa

GJ Gardner Homes Noosa - NEVER AGAIN.The GJ Gardner slogan of ‘experience the joy building’ became ‘experience the horror building’. Our experience was one of no project management or quality control onsite during the building phase, which resulted in a build time 18 months to build a single level slab-on ground house, due to countless building defects discovered by the Building Inspector during the building process and slow rectification. Non-compliant slab preparation, waterproofing failed the compliance test twice, tiling in the wet areas non-compliant twice, rectification after hand-over, 3 garage doors to get one to fit, chipped tiles, lipping tiles, and countless more items. Patch up jobs, door jambs/walls/skirting bent beyond the tolerance, marginal painting and the list goes on. Now 7 months after hand-over, still a long list of rectification works to be done, filed a compliant with QBCC, the nightmare continues. We feel GJ Gardner Homes Noosa used cheap and substandard trades to get the job done. We really feel we have been ripped of badly by GJ Gardner Homes Noosa at $6,000 per sqm build cost. And we learnt we are not the only ones, another client which we met, also suffering identical conduct and defect issues, likewise with QBCC for action. Our advice: don’t trust anything the GJ Gardner Homes Noosa promise you, it is just hot air. Don’t trust anything regarding a contract price, and if you want a custom-designed home, but get competitive pricing by engaging a quantity surveyor with your specific custom design and engineering. Otherwise, contact the Metricons, Plantantion Homes, or Nu Trend Homes for comparative pricing, and you’ll find GJ Gardner Homes Noosa is very expensive for what they offer. Most importantly, beware and be critical of the glossy social media posts and advertising – come to our place instead, we will show you and share with you what the reality of building with GJ Gardner Homes Noosa looks like. Our experience is summed up that this Franchise will take your money without providing the promised service or promised quality. Please read our comprehensive review with more pictures on Product Review.

GJGardner TAREE NSW

Limited budget, difficult block, all design, plans , colour scheme, everything done by phone consultation as we were working interstate, and yet, the process has been seemless, handled with the utmost of professionalism. The Taree team have been fantastic, communication clear and timely. We could not be happier with our home.We have never worried even though we had been away for most of the build, our faith in this company has been well proven. They have built for us a stunning home, the workmanship is of top quality, the support, and going the extra mile with advice on colour scheme etc, we are so grateful. Each and every member of the team,Ian and Cheryl : franchise owners, Steve, Margaret, Kira, Kylie, TAMMY and Zebb, have been brilliant, Shane and I cannot fault the team and the result.Only quality building materials have been used, we have had a home built for a great price, a lot of bang for our buck, and inclusions that we never dreamt would be standards.CANNOT RECOMMEND GJGARDNER HOMES TAREE NSW ENOUGH.We struggle to find the words to express our appreciation for their service.💯. ✔️✔️✔️

Steer clear of all G J Gardner homes

Steer clear of all G J Gardner homes. They are a franchise and let any builder have a franchise. G J Gardner Perth West took most of my money and delivered a substandard build before going into liquidation. G J Gardner head office knew they were in trouble but never told the clients. Left with a $350k cost to finish the house and G J Gardner don’t want to know as it was the franchisee that went into liquidation not G J Gardner. 4 years and still trying to finish my house and correct the defects

Steer clear of GJ Gardner

Steer clear of this GJ Gardner Toowoomba. Many promises, but zero delivery.A highly unprofessional team that seems to have no clue in what they are doing.Examples:- We were asked 3 times to provide documents that we had already shared. (and we had answered each email within a day)- Already defined and agreed upon kitchen appliances months prior to contract signing, received a call to come in and choose them...- Provided with the wrong documents to make our selections and zero structure to the process to the extent that we made a document for them to ensure we were capturing everything.- We expressed our concerns and worries several times that contractual timeliness wouldn't be met. Escalated to the directors (owners) but received no response at all from them. No acknowledgment. When discussed in a meeting - we were told nothing to worry about but will follow up within 24 hours - no follow up as promised by them about the status of our Building approval. When the building approval had not been obtained within 60 days according to contractual requirements we requested our lawyers to end the contract.Director pretends the clause applicable is not relevant to drag the process further.Working with our lawyers to get our deposit back.Build Stage: Pre-Construction
