From my first contact, I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of Rudy Samsel. I, having bought my car through Bring-a-Trailer, felt a lot more comfortable. I would not have been comfortable trying to sell my 1955 Thunderbird with them. Rudy handled the details quickly and thoroughly. The car was inspected and photographed in an objective manner. We ended up compromising at the end of the auction at my suggestion, and the completion was remarkably easy and fast. The auction ended on a Wednesday, I had clear funds on Friday, and the car was picked up professionally on Monday. Cannot ask for anything better. I highly recommend Guys with Rides for anyone - a professional way to go.

Wow! Rudy made it happen! I first met Rudy at a Porsche event in 2022 where we had our Porsche 928s parked next to each other. I had a "For Sale" sign on my windshield. After spending time speaking with Rudy, I was convinced that I would list my car on Guys with Rides. From the beginning Rudy was there to guide me through the tortuous process of selling a car. He helped me establish an asking price that was fair and realistic. He took magnificent pictures and videos of the car in a park-like setting and posted these online. He produced a beautiful write up detailing the history, features, condition, and maintenance details of the car. Based on the pictures and write up, I almost wanted to keep my car of 25 years. Rudy's website attracted the interest of a car collector in Pennsylvania. My interactions with the buyer were extremely positive leading to a mutually agreeable purchase price and pick-up date. Rudy was always available to answer my questions about the agreement of sale, car title, license plates, and ways to ensure a secure payment process. I registered on GWR’s auction site to bid on what looked like a beautifully cared for 1987 Porsche 928 S4. While the auction ended with me as high bidder, the seller’s reserve price was not met. Rudy of GWR got involved and helped negotiate a fair price for both parties. I took possession of the car last Thursday and met Phil, the seller and his wife. To say that he has been a great caretaker for the past 25 years of this car would be a gross understatement. I couldn’t be happier.

WOW, WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE
WOW, what a great experience. I have never used an auction service to sell a car before and am I happy I chose Guys With Rides ("GWR'). Rudy at GWR had my care appraised and gave me a fair indication what my 1972 Nova SS was worth. My car was at auction within a week of the appraisal. The auction was a week before thanksgiving and I was concerned about the timing. Boy was I wrong. I got a very serious bid on my car that didn't quite meet my reserve. Rudy went to work and negotiated a price that satisfied both me and the buyer. Rudy kept in close contact with me after the sale to make sure everything was moving along smoothly. It's been only three weeks since my car was appraised and it has been sold, I have been paid and the car is on it's way to the new owner. Rudy, founder of GwR was instrumental in bringing a superbly cared for 928 S4 to his auction site. Although I was the high bidder at the end, my bid did not meet the seller’s reserve. Rudy jumped into action and over a long Thanksgiving weekend a deal was made to everyone’s satisfaction.That other auction site leaves it up to the hi bidder and seller to try to strike a deal if the sellers reserve isn’t met. More often than not, a deal doesn’t materialize. Having an intermediary (Rudy) certainly helped us get a deal that worked for both of us.

I was unaware of any of the steps necessary between making the decision to sell and that day when someone would drive away in our treasure. You were able to allay my confusing thoughts and the associated worries about the car either not selling, or, even worse, going to a buyer who would not appreciate it for how unique it is. I believe you knew just how I felt about the sale and, after talking with me a little about my brother (the actual owner of the car since 1994), and how he cared so deeply about it and took such extremely good care of it, I felt that you wanted it to go to an ideal home as much as I did. The communication between us from start to finish was refreshing and I had my questions answered at a moment’s notice. I can honestly say that I never had any hesitation or regrets throughout the process.
