Disgusting that HEWI is still trading as they owe 100's thousands to customers & sellers

so disgusting that (HEWI) Hardly Ever Worn It , operated by HardlyEver Ltd, is still operating and customers are still owed money, and they are still not returning sellers goods back, this all whilst HEWI is undergoing insolvency proceedings,(liquidation / bankruptcy). The company is facing multiple county court judgments. They owed me more than £10K from sales and have that much again worth of stock they have not returned back to me, applauling they are still trading. Consumers, sellers , customers beware you will not get your money or your items back.

I don't think all the review is as…

I don't think all the review is as legit, my reason being I bought a necklace for nearly 8 months didn't get it then in the end got my money back whereby the bank had already charged interest. Second thing is communication is not as fast as people expect. I bought a sandals on the 2nd haven't heard anything no email nothing. But it says 4-5 working days today is the 19th.

They claim that they’ve changed the…

They claim that they’ve changed the ownership, however they haven’t returned the consignment items, while I was chasing them for 3 month, kept selling my items and didn’t transfer money for the sale that happened after change of ownership. They said that if I pay for the return of my items they will send them back. I asked to deduct the cost from the amount of owe me for my items, however they told me that they will transfer the owed amount separately and ended up doing nothing. So they generally wanted to scam me for more money. While the new company seems to claim they are better in operating, they keep scamming people. Don’t use it

Verified Purchase

Authentic service

What makes Hewi stand out is that you know you're getting real pieces...never had a moment of doubt in the 3 items I've bought on there.

Scammers and Con Artists!

I know so many people are saying the company is “back to former glory” but please be careful. They owe me £3k from 2024/25 as a VIP seller. I have a Court claim (ref722MC089) against them filed in September 2025 and they ran from all addresses, refusing to be served. The day they filed for “voluntary liquidation”, they created a new company who now owns them. They still operate as usual but have done this to avoid paying people what they owe. They can go in scamming and thieving people and operate as nothing happened. As I have been a pain to them chasing money and filing multiple claims everytime they run, they left me off their list of creditors I have just been told by Eleanor at Beagbies Traynor who are dealing with the liquidation. This family are con artists and scammers. Be very wary of selling or buying from them!!

This company is now in Liquidation

This company went into liquidation in October 2025 (this is public information). The notice advises anyone who is still owed money to contact the receivers I believe they have been sneaky and re registered the company again in October 2025 (same month as the liquidation) by changing the directorships/shareholdings due to the previous director(s) being struck off in the event of a liquidation but that a loophole in the law that they have taken advantage of I am not sure why anyone is still buying or selling with them!

Do not buy or sell here. I strongly advise checking reviews beforehand — I wish I had.

I have sold a few items here in the past (designer jackets, blazers and bags). Although I had to chase payment, I was eventually paid. That was several years ago. In December, I purchased a designer bag listed as new, at a very attractive price, intended as a Christmas gift. Before buying, I explicitly confirmed via WhatsApp that the bag was smooth leather with gold hardware, as the listing used website images of different versions. I was assured this was correct and that the item would be shipped with priority delivery, arriving before 25 December. The bag arrived on 21 January 2026 — nearly a month late — and it was the wrong item: a used bag, pebbled leather, silver hardware, not what was confirmed or sold. To make matters worse, it was delivered by a random person because Royal Mail delivered it to the wrong building, so the parcel was effectively lost. The seller initially refused to refund me. I had to raise a dispute with Amex to get my money back. Only after that did they acknowledge the issue. When I informed them that the bag had eventually arrived, they had the audacity to ask me to ship it back, instead of arranging a collection themselves. This was stressful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Do not buy or sell here. I strongly advise checking reviews beforehand — I wish I had.

HEWI IS A THEFT RING

Sharon Wolter Ferguson and her daughters Tatiana & Natalia are thieves. They took nearly 200 pieces of archival designer fashion from me in March 2025 spinning me a farce about how successful and well respected they were in the fashion industry, representing celebs like sienna miller, harry styles and Kate moss. They shared clips from press regarding their association with Sotheby's , British Vogue, even the Duke of Richmond and walked out of my home singing promises of transparency, full collaborative pricing before posting, item protection during storage and profits paid to me regularly (30days post each sale). I fell for it. They cherry picked my items, told me they were taking them back to their HQ so they could go through the "valuation team" and would get back to me for approval before posting my items. They immediately posted without my authority, as I called texted and emailed repeatedly my "VIP rep" for them to pull my items, only to be told I was too late and pieces had already sold. In fact my pieces sold very quickly as HEWI priced them far below market value. They didn't care. Any sale meant a commission for them and volume was the key to their game. They also simultaneously listed my most covetable items on Vestiaire for thousands more than on the HEWI site. It seems they thought they could sell high on Vestiaire, mark it sold on HEWI and then pay out my share based on the lower HEWI price. It's quite a genius scam. But I caught wind and then things got very ugly. 60+ items sold in 3 mos. By 6 mos, still no payments to me. over £35 thousand GBP in payments they owed me. Not a single penny did they ever pay Never a returned phone call. Never my items returned to me. Emails only ever sent from them to make excuses that payment was coming. Nothing ever came of their promises. They then deactivated my login so I could no longer track my items, sales, or monies owed. At this point, I hired a solicitor and was set to take them to court. But like I said at the beginning, they knew they were going out of business the whole bloody time. Just quietly selling client property to keep themselves paid until they claimed insolvency. I was one of hundreds of clients who would NEVER BE PAID. I saw the list of creditors. SHARON WOLTER FERGUSON the owner/founder had the nerve to add her name to the list of claimants owed 150k because she loaned her own company money. ARE YOU TAKING A PISS SHARON? So, clients whose merch was stolen would not get repayment because SHARON adds her name to the payout list of creditors ? INSANITY. My only hope at this point was to get my remaining items back, which took another 2 months and arrived crammed and mashed into wet filth covered boxes, no bags, no hangers, no original packaging, no dust covers, no auth cards, no inventory whatsoever. Items snagged, dirty, stained; others fully missing. Should I feel grateful I got some of my belongings back? I know I probably feel lucky I got something back in the end, but I don't feel anything but contempt for these Wolter-Ferguson GRIFTERS! I feel used and betrayed; prayed on by lying, conniving women who took advantage of my trust, paid themselves, and ran away with zero accountability 35 yrs I collected my pieces knowing they'd have value in my retirement and be financial support. It's now all gone or damaged. I don't care that the new company seems to now be paying its new clients. They should have had to make good on the debt to those of us defrauded/owed first. It's been a sickening experience. I wish Sharon, Tatiana and Natalia nothing but ill and that karma catches up to them soon. the Wolter-Ferguson's should all be imprisoned for fraud/theft. A little time in HMP might teach them that actions have consequences. sadly corporate law showed them instead that loopholes like claiming insolvency exist in order to get away with their crime. Disgusting.

Complete shysters, avoid like the plague

Had to visit them to get money back and arrange unsold items to be returned. They did a partial payment and did return the unsold, expensive clothes, just dumped in a box! Still owe money so another visit very soon.......How trading standards allow them to satay in business is a mystery.

Recent experiences with HEWI all positive.

My recent experiences as a seller on HEWI are all positive. They have paid me on time without me having to chase them. They also respond to whatsapp messages very quickly. I have many years experience with selling on HEWI and until sometime last year when things went downhill, I achieved some very good results with them and all my buyers were happy. They experienced some problems last year and I had difficulty receiving payments, but was always eventually paid. These problems now seem to have been resolved so I will keep my trust in them going forward.

Disappointed customer that you have now lost.

I have bought from HEWI a few times and never had any issues until now. I ordered a pair of earrings that was for a Christmas present. I chased at least 3 times when they didn’t arrive and then again yesterday and I got a reply once I threatened to contact my bank and leave a review. They then told me that the earrings were broken and I opted for a full refund which I have asked again for them to confirm. This is very disappointing and it seems the business is willing to help when a sale is involved but not when there is a problem. I have lost all confidence in them and won’t purchase from them again which is a shame because they do sell some good stuff. However, I am more inclined to buy designer goods from eBay as the guarantee authenticity, something HEWI doesn’t. Not all my experiences have been poor with this company but the last time I bought from HEWI will be the last time. Just be careful when entering into a sale.

Positive changes after ICG takeover

I have been selling with hewi for few years. They always paid on time and were brilliant until 2024. In 2024, there was a time when the payment was late and I had to repeatedly chase them to get paid. I stopped using their services. However, recently after receiving an email from Hewi saying they were brought by ICG ( Inspiration Commerce Group) . I decided to sell with them again. I had my doubts, but they have proven me wrong. Evrey thing, was great from start to finish. I got paid on time. I was offered far less on my items on other websites, compared to Hewi. This new take over from ICG seems to be positive for Hewi. I will definitely be selling more with them again 🤗 Thank you

Tatiana Wolter-Ferguson, Chair CRIMINAL, ALONG WITH HER SISTER AND MOTHER AND SISTER Sharon Wolter-Ferguson and her daughters Tatiana Wolter-FERGUSON (l) and Natalya wolter-ferguson It came from the firm’s founder and majority owner Sharon Wolter-Ferguson and was aimed at herself. After a comfortable life among the glitterati in Monaco she was now single and, with two daughters Tatiana and Natalya to support, the three were girls of slender means. I wanted a site for women like me, searching for something that was easy to use, authentic and safe. Sharon Wolter-Ferguson Although she had never run a business, Wolter-Ferguson looked to what she did have to generate income and maintain her lifestyle, namely influential connections and a wardrobe full of must-haves. The three of them robbed innocent people they should go to prison. Living off immoral earnings Published 15 October 2025 A website where people can sell second-hand luxury goods owes some of its sellers thousands of pounds, the BBC has learned. The site - Hardly Ever Worn It (HEWI) - lists designer clothes, bags and jewellery, taking between 18% and 40% of the sellers' profits. However, its owner HardlyEver Ltd, based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, has had seven county court judgements against it, including one claim for £27,000. The firm said it had been having problems with its payments system since late 2024 and was undergoing financial restructuring. James, a seller from London, told BBC Radio 4 You and Yours he was owed more than £5,000. He said the website listed him has having been paid but he had received no money since December 2024. The company has been bought by ICG Canadian company. I'm sure it is the same criminal family Check the new website; it no longer includes the terms and conditions, so it is still illegal. Warning

Warning - stay away from this company. I am a customer trying to buy a man's reasonably high value backpack. The general level of service is terrible. They are unable to offer clarification to what I would class as easy questions and queries. There is nobody available to speak to and the other reviews I have read about this company are damning and daunting! I would give this company a wide berth! Sounds like a scam company to me!
