ok so today I get snail mail from HomeSafe saying the following Important NoticeAttention Eric *****This letter is to inform you that the property's home warranty at my address may be expiring or may have already expired. Our records indicate you have not contacted us to get your Home Service agreement up to date. Please call us at 1-800-775-4912 immediately as you still may have time left to activate a warranty replacement plan on your home before its too late. When your home warranty is no longer active you are at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs. However you still have time left to activate a warranty replacement plan on your home before its too late. First off my home was built in 1951, I got the house after the passing of my mom. I never had a HomeSafe warranty. I find this piece of mail predatory in nature. I never dealt with this company. It is designed for those who are older who have no clue that they are being scammed into getting something they don't need.
The overall concern for taking care of my issue and the response time was great! The whole process was seamless.
Went to cancel this contract and got havoc for 30 minutes on why I shouldn't cancel and going over the contract when I said I already looked it over. They dont stop when you say I'm just canceling please. They keep going on and on, degrading you for your choice, that your wrong. Then after hanging up on him, he proceeded to call me three times. I just kept hanging up on him. Really ridiculous!!

First off, they are misleading. they claim 24/7 claims. I would think that would mean even Sunday? Well no, we are in the dead of winter here with no furnace. So, I would say again. I would find that misleading, boarding on false advertising. So I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General of New York State. So I would stay away from this company.

The people at Home Safe were very pleasant, and helpful. It truly was refreshing to be able to talk with people, not a recording, and be given easy directions and any needed help to get our claim filed and a quick and fair resolution.
I had to pay more for the service call than what my contract calls for. I had to pay $112.00 and some change and actually I should only had to pay $65.00. Regardless, that all they had to do was reset the electrical outlet. My microwave wasn't working and I am not tall enough or knew enough that what was wrong. I think you owe my the difference. Same thing happened on my last claim.
